I am a big fan of one specific burrito chain and rarely I go to the others. I've had burrito from Poncho some years back and I remember it as a decent one, so during the £3 Poncho week in the Devonshire branch, I decided to give it a go and see how it compares now.
I'm a pescatarian, so the only option here was the veggie. I chose brown rice, and said to the server I want it medium and all with the veggies that go with it. Knowing that guacamole is free in veggie buritos, I pointed to it and said I want it too. The server said 'it's free', but for some weird reason didn't put it in my wrap, which I only realized back in the office. The burrito was dry (my fellow diners, who went for meaty options, said the same) and the big chunks of raw carrot and courgettes were unpleasant to bite. My colleagues were a bit more satisfied, but I think unless they improve the recipe for the veggie one and their stuff, I'm not going back. read more
