She wanted to get her…read morenails done at a spot recommended to her from a friend who used to live here, so we decided to stop in. The nail shop review is under a separate review. But overall, this mall has definitely seen better days. While the exterior doesn't necessarily reveal the level of aging, when you get inside the mall you noticed pretty quickly but this mall is likely on it's downturn. There are several closed, or seemingly closed stores, and most of the traffic seems relegated to a couple of the larger department stores like H&M and Belk. A lot of empty kiosks in the middle of the walkway with the rest of them being occupied by local vendors that didn't seem to be getting much business at all. And if teenagers are still headed to malls on Saturday's to hang out, this is clearly not the mall that most of the local teenagers here hang out in as the traffic was surprisingly light for a Saturday - I just realized that may appeal to certain readers of this review. Lol. Anyway, unless you are visiting a specific store in this mall as a destination, I would probably suggest finding one of Jacksonvilles bigger malls for a true mall experience.

I will say that it seems like this mall keeps putting actual vendors in parking spaces. In this particular instance, there was a basketball vendor in that location, which leaves less spaces for customers to park. I'm not a huge fan of this mall. It seems like most of the stores I used to really like no longer exist, which is a bummer.

The selection of men's tropical shirts is really great, often bargains on clearance. Womens name-brand clothing is FL heat friendly. In the home section we discovered coastal-themed accessories for kitchen, patio, and dining. Clearance Tervis cups are perfect for my decor and never drip condensation! the value.

Walking in, the store is clean and well organized (kind of hard to find the Plus Size section, but frankly, that's pretty normal... they always hide us in the back). Departments were marked well, with ample signage, and sales were well advertised. Racks were clean and straight, there wasn't any mess in the walkways or overflowing tables of tee-shirts. It was a relaxing, stress-free, shopping experience. Even on an early Saturday morning, this store was not busy at all, which I prefer. Clothing definitely skews toward "Ladies Who Lunch in Florida," - you won't find anything super-trendy that your teenager would wear. This is for stylish mature women who live in FL and need to look amazing, put together, and cool, all at the same time. Clothing fabrications reflect those needs, too, with light and airy options that won't make us sweat (I shopped in April). Fitting rooms were nicely-sized, with a solid door (not a curtain), and a chair. One gripe... there were only two hooks for clothes (I like to have hooks for "Try On," "Buy," and "Put Back" options). Within the fitting room, but outside the individual stalls, was a three-way mirror so you could get a really good look at your outfit to make sure you'll look good coming AND going! As I said at the beginning, the check-out staff was what really dropped the quality of my experience. There was no employee at one counter, so I went to the other one, where there was one lady doing a return, and doing it *very* slowly... It took her probably 5 minutes to complete it AFTER I'd already gotten there, so who really knew how long it took from start to finish! I think it took 15 minutes for me to check out with my two simple items. However, even though she was slow, the cashier was extremely friendly, so a point in her favor! I like this location, and I like the clothing sold in this store, so I guess I just have to decide if the long wait to pay is worth the affordable stylish clothing?

It is north of Saint Augustine and near Ponte Vedra Beach in the First Coast area and sits on over 13,000 acres. There is new building and developments going on all the time at this time. You do not have to live in Nocatee to take advantage of the stores, businesses and restaurants located here...they are open to everyone. For a list of stores & businesses currently here or coming to Nocatee, please follow this link: https://info.nocatee.com/town-center-directory If you live here or thinking about moving here to Nocatee there is one thing I find to be pretty cool and that is the golf cart usage. A lot of the residents here own golf carts and that is how they get around. Here at the town center there are parking spaces just for the golf carts. You can literally do your grocery shopping and/or just go to dinner in your golf cart. There is a golf course, but you don't have to play golf to partake in cruising around in a golf cart. I like it! But if you are like me and don't live here, then you drive here the old-fashioned way. That said, with the way the area is shaped it is very easy to walk to several different things quite easily and leave your vehicle in the same spot. At this time there seems to be ample parking as well.
