I scheduled my appointment with ease for an oil change, and they called me during the process to let me know that my coolant was low, told me the price it would be to top it off ($5), and let me make the choice whether or not to do it. I also asked them to do a code scan for a check engine light, and they went above and beyond. They did extensive investigation, downloaded new software to complete it (as I have an Italian car), and left no stone unturned to assure me that the motor was running fine and the code was related to a software issue with my adaptive cruise control. With friendly customer service on top of that, this is an easy 5 star review.

They're very honest and upstanding, which is apparently hard to come by when it comes to servicing cars! The Zimbrick Honda dealership's service center (the one on Grand Canyon Drive) in town told my brother that his car was leaking transmission fluid from the axle seals. They also mentioned that his air intake hose was about to tear, and it needed to be replaced immediately. Both of these were strange findings as his car is not that old and has relatively low mileage. So, he took the car to Goodyear to get another quote and a second look. The dealership quoted him for $840 for the transmission fluid issues, while the folks at Goodyear quoted him for literally HALF THE COST of the dealer. However, they also said they couldn't find a leak. Apparently, his car's seals were totally fine. As for the air intake hose, Goodyear found that it's only slightly worn from weather and time, but it looks fine. The mechanic at Goodyear said they wouldn't recommend my brother to go out of his way to replace it until a light comes on for it on the dashboard of the car. Wow, the dealership completely tried to rip him off! BONUS: They're so honest and standup at this Goodyear that they went one step further to say that they weren't comfortable charging him with anything because no services needed to be done. They didn't even charge my brother for the part they ordered because they will just send it back for him at no cost. How amazing are they, right?! This is how you build a loyal customer base. This is how you get customers to come back time and time again. All it takes is honesty and offering fair prices for good service. My young son bought his first car, all on his own, before going off to college this fall. He bought…read moreit used from a family friend and fellow church member who did their very best to make sure the car was going to treat him well for years to come. They had had all the work on the car done at Village Mobile in Waunakee while they owned it. Before deciding to sell it they took it in to them again to get a full and thorough inspection. It was inspected and a list of all the issues found was created. This list was passed on to my son before he purchased it. In total, they noted $1,800 of things to be fixed. We proceeded to fix the majority of those things for a total of $550. That $1,800 is clearly a major rip off of the customer. When fixing the items they noted, we discovered there was a crack and two large rust holes in the rear subframe. Totally obvious to even a non car person with out taking anything apart. I called Village Mobile to ask them about this oversight to such a major issue with the vehicle. They said they did not feel they were responsible in any way. I assured them, I did not expect them to take care of the issue free of charge. I just asked that they consider seeing what could be done to help my son get the car fixed so it was safe to drive at a reasonable price. I asked that they have compassion and see if they could do what ever they could to keep the cost down for him given they had missed something that was such a safety issue. They called today with the quote to get it repaired and I was absolutely flabbergasted! With a used subframe, mind you, they quoted us $2,000 to fix it!!! As I said earlier, the original quote, after a supposedly thorough inspection was $1,800, to fix all of the cars issues. Now they are telling us it will be $2,000 to fix the issue they completely missed. I don't know about you, but I would not trust anyone in that business to look at, quote, or do any work on my vehicle. In my opinion, this is gross negligence and complete incompetence. Not to mention price gouging, no compassion, or self conscious. For reference, here is a picture of what they did not see upon inspection. This is unacceptable on so many levels. I hope everyone reading this will think twice about doing business with Village Mobile in Waunakee and you will spread the word far and wide that this is not a company you can trust with your business.

Out of all the times I've been there, the repair shop has had terrible customer service. I've had to deal with a man who works there named Tim who has always been unfriendly and disrespectful to customers. Another thing I've noticed about the auto mechanic, Tim is that he seems to be pissed off all the time. One time, when I was about to move to Los Angeles, my car was having problems and the motor got loud after I hit a curb that I didn't see. Sometimes, old cars are like that, and my old car had a lot of other similar problems when I got them fixed but they weren't fixed for very long. When I brought my car in to get looked at, Tim told me that he would take a look and let me know if there are any problems. An hour or 2 later, I got a call from Tim, and he told me that my car was severely damaged and that it can't be driven just because hitting the curb damaged a lot of things to that car. He blamed me for the damage and told me that he thinks I'm a bad driver even though I'm not. I explicitly told Tim that I was under a lot of stress and that I have to get on the road in a couple days to move to my new home and that I have no other choice. Tim didn't even care how I felt, and he told me that if I want the car fixed, I would have to pay $1600 which was a lot of money to spend out of my budget when I needed to save up most of my money for my move to LA. He also told me that he thinks I should sell my car and then fly to LA and buy a new one there if I don't want to pay the $1600. He even told me to come back over so that he could talk to me in person and show me what kinds of problems there were with my old car. Because I was in a very tough situation and on a very tight schedule and wanted to be able to get on the road to California on time, I just told Tim to fix the car as soon as possible and that I would pay the money for it. The repair took longer than I expected and all I did was hang out around the area all day but never went home. When I went back into the repair shop, I asked Tim if he could give me my keys to my apartment so that I could go home and rest until my car got fixed, but he refused to do that, and he threatened me by telling that if he gives me my apartment keys that I'll have to postpone my car repair and wait until the next day. I said no to that, and that I need it done as soon as possible so that I can get on the road on time. I spent all day waiting for my car to get fixed, and as it got closer to the time that Broadway Tire & Auto closed, I got a call from Tim letting me know that my car has been repaired and was ready to be picked up. When I got there and paid the money, my car was not in the parking lot, and when I asked Tim where my car was, he told me in a mean way that the mechanics were still finishing my car repair but that they'd leave it with me as soon as they were done. This made things even more frustrating that day, but as soon as I paid for my car repair and left, I knew that I shouldn't go back to this place again for car repairs or any other type of car maintenance. And even later on, my old car started to have a lot of mechanical problems again shortly after I got it repaired there. I do not recommend Broadway Tire & Auto. The mechanics that work there as well as the manager, Tim are very unfriendly, and they take advantage of people and try to rip them off by charging more money than most people can afford. If you don't want to be put in a tough car situation like I was in at Broadway Tire & Auto, then I'd say it's not worth it.

ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR - SCUMMY BUSINESS PRACTICES - AVOID!…read more We've been using Chet's for a couple of years now due to their proximity to where we live, however we will NEVER be returning our vehicles for service here after our experiences during the last few visits. Last Tuesday, my wife's car went into limp mode. We had it towed here just to get the diagnostic work done to see if it was something worth fixing. It had a failed coil pack a few months ago that she drove with to get it home. This caused premature failure of the first catalytic converter, which is exactly what the mechanic (Matt) found wrong with it. On Thursday, they called upon finding this out and asked if they wanted us to proceed with further diagnostics (to check if the second cat had failed as well) and repairs. They quoted us $1500 additional parts/labor for an upstream catalytic converter replacement. I told them yes to the diagnostics, but to call me before they proceeded with any further work, as I thought the price was ridiculous. I had a feeling that what I said wasn't received properly, so exactly 5 minutes later I called back and was explicitly clear that we ONLY wanted them to perform additional diagnostic labor to check if the downstream cat had failed. I know I spoke to the same person both times because the number they called from and I called back to is different from their office number. They said they would be sure to tell the mechanic not to proceed with the repairs. Assuming that this would be a 10 minute job (dropping a scope into the downstream cat), I went in Friday to check if we could coordinate payment for the diagnostic efforts and arrange a tow for the car. The front desk employee (Roman) tells me the total was $1700 ($200 diag, $1500 parts/labor for parts replacement). After I explained the situation, he went into the back, apologized for the miscommunication issue, and said they would get the parts removed ASAP and make us whole in terms of payment. I figured this was reasonable, mistakes happen, and they were owning up to it. Come Monday afternoon, we called to see if the vehicle was ready to go. I spoke with Jeff on the phone initially who put the mechanic Matt on the line. He explained that since the parts were installed and the car had been driven (50 feet to the parking lot), the catalytic converter wasn't returnable and we would be on the hook for the full parts/labor as quoted. I told him that wasn't happening, to take the parts off and give us our vehicle back as left. Making a customer pay for unauthorized repairs is EXPLICITLY ILLEGAL behavior, under Wisconsin consumer protection law. My wife went in Tuesday morning to check on the vehicle (1 week since drop off) and they told her it would be a couple more hours before they got the part off. I called them back Tuesday afternoon, and they are now trying to get us on the hook for just the parts and they would comp the labor. They were charging $700 for the part. The vehicle is 11 years old and worth $3,000 at most, we are just trying to get another year out of it and do not need pricey OEM parts. I told Matt this was unacceptable, told him the state law that protects consumers in this exact condition, and let him know we would be taking them to small claims court if they would not honor our request. He blew me off and tried denying responsibility. We called back one more time, asking to speak to only the owner, at which point we were finally told that they would only be charging us for the diagnostic labor as authorized. When we went to pick up the vehicle Wednesday morning, and they only charged us for the diagnostic work as agreed. However, I took a glance under the hood and noticed the original catalytic converter was missing. I had to go back into the shop and ask for the part back, which is worth $50-100+ of scrap value. Come on. They have also charged us for snapping wheel studs that they overtightened in the first place. Tread carefully, these guys (or at least Jeff and Matt) will nickel and dime you for everything they can get away with.
