Get the psychedelic fish burger the food is delicious, good portion sizes, quality wine list and the service is wonderful. All of the servers, including our server, were so friendly and often funny. We truly enjoyed our experience from the moment we stepped in, until we left.. and have commented several times how amazing our meal was, along with the service! We can't wait to return and try many more items off the menu! Perfect for date night, ladies night out, family dinner, or dining solo. We ordered with full recommendation to others: escargot, root salad, sea scallops, and deviled eggs. I had a glass of Prosecco to pair with the escargot, and a glass of the Pinot Noir for the other small plates, and ended it with the chocolate port. We made a reservation here a week ago on open table for 6:30. I confirmed after being sent a text twice this week. We arrived at 6:25 and were told the reservation was for 7 and to wait outside it was raining and the host suggested waiting under the awning in the most condescending way. I have dined here twice before, the food was good but they were rude then too. The place is very small and the parking is not great. We won't go back Don't waste your time. read more

Pompano Grill is one of the best restaurants in Cocoa Beach. Owner Jackie has created a really cool vibe - ambiance is fun, eclectic and cozy. Everything on the menu is carefully prepared and artfully presented. Our favorite apps are Fish Dip, Escargot and Million Dollar Bacon. Favorite Entrees are wasabi encrusted Ahi Tuna, Catch of the Day cooked to order and beef Filet. There are many other items on the menu that are wonderful as well. Desserts are all fab. Light white fish that melts in your mouth.Comes with a Caesar salad to start. Bread on request (get it too -- freshly made/served hot out of the oven). And save room for deserts. Your experience starts in a small, artsy dinning area, greeted by a wonderful waitstaff that really knows their menu and have passion for what they are serving. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and romantic, which was quite surprising considering the outside appearance. Better than I expected on that aspect. The service however, was quite disappointing on a few levels. We were a party of 13 and although the food was good, the service was quite poor and our food took almost 2 hours to be served. The waitress consistently seemed inconvenienced by our presence there and it was mentioned to our table that 6 reservations were turned down to accommodate us, not appropriate to say to guests in my opinion. The owner then approached our table to complain about one of our guests who asked about the gratuity added to the bill (which seemed quite higher than the typical added gratuity for large parties). He never raised his voice and none of us expected the reaction we got from the owner but rather an explanation. When I initially wrote out this review I was quite upset but now realize being upset does no one any good. I'd rather leave with one last remark instead: It was evident that you were understaffed and a shame the service suffered due to this. You came with such high reviews and we expected better customer service. It was disheartening that our birthday celebration ended on a low note. Update: Instead of apologizing, the owner has instead been emailing and private messaging our party to complain and state that my review is detrimental to her business. I am entitled to my opinion and don't appreciate being bullied into what I assume is an attempt to get me to take down my review. We would appreciate if the owner would leave us alone as we all want to move on from this disappointing experience. read more

This is a very nice place. The decor is modern, the layout is nice. It is desperately trying to be fine dining, but it's not quite over the hump yet. There is still sheet paper on top of the tablecloths and they serve beer and wine only. The food was actually pretty good. I didn't go too upscale with my order - got the Jerk Chicken Mac & Cheese. It came with a nice side salad of walnuts, blue cheese, vinaigrette...tasty. The entree started a little off...I couldn't really taste the cheese sauce on the mac in the beginning, but I eventually found it. The chicken was seasoned nicely but wasn't spicy. The dish was topped with pineapple and pickled peppers and onions which worked nicely to cut through the richness of the pasta and cheese. Nicely done. This is one of those places that only a few locals will know about as it is off the main tourist rout and doesn't look like much from the outside. If, however, you're looking for a quiet, intimate dining experience with an attentive serving staff and great food, look no further. We were greeted by the owner, Jackie Sampson who confirmed our reservation and seated us immediately. She then informed us that she would be our server for the evening. We began our experience with a crab cake appetizer. One large cake was enough for two to share. Served on a mild sauce and topped with thin slices of cucumber and sautéed red onion it had a very delicate flavor and was a great introduction to our meal. If anything I would like it to have had a bit more spice. A dash of cayenne pepper perhaps. This was followed by a Caesar salad which was the only disappointment of the evening. The dressing was nearly tasteless and the Parmesan cheese looked and tasted like it had been shaken on out of a box. At an establishment such as this, One would expect a more flavorful dressing and freshly shaved cheese. For our main course we both had the seared tuna. WOW! A large "chunk " of tuna dipped first in a Wasabi sauce then coated with panko and sesame seeds. Pan seared perfectly on the outside and rare inside then served with a side dish of soy sauce, wasabi and ginger this was amazing. We managed to save room for desert and shared a slice of coconut cake with a Key Lime (pudding? sauce?) along side whipped cream and raspberries. The cake, clearly made from scratch, was perfectly moist with a rich coconut icing and the key lime sauce made a deliciously different taste pairing. The pricing was consistent with the quality of the experience with the exception of the House Wine which I felt was overpriced. Reservations are highly recommended as there are only eight tables. Bottom Line. Go there. We will certainly be there again soon. read more

To start,We eat at lots of different restaurants so I'm trying to be objective. Service was great. Unfortunately, the halibut was so salty I had to send it back. I love bok chocolate but when biting into it, I was chewing on what felt like dirt granules, like it wasn't washed properly. My partner had the redfin tuna which is soaked in Wasabi and literally made him cry. I helped him eat half of it, but we scraped the topping off of it and doused it with the sauce.
