Maybe it's too much to expect Toronto quality Italian food in Trenton, but everything from the tomato sauce in the lasagna (way too acidic), ho hum aglio olio for the California fettucine and lack of simple garden salad (what kind of Italian place only serves Caesar salad or Greek salad?) just didn't do it for me. My fettucine was undercooked (not even close to being al dente), the chicken breast was dry and the overall seasoning was weak. Even with the addition of giant slivers of Parmaggiano didn't do much to elevate the dish. I would have sent the dish back if we weren't in a rush to finish our meal and get back on the road. The Margherita pizza was the best part of this dinner sadly. I'm not sure if we'll be back in Trenton again any time soon, but I will be looking for other options than Tomasso's.

We were very specific each time about where we wanted to be seated, and we were told that - without question - the table was ours. Each time we arrived to find our table had been given to someone else. Each time we arrived in time for our reservation. Each time nobody knew what had happened. So - this is our last time. We will not be back. We were being treated to dinner by out-of-town guests, and the experience was uncomfortable and embarrassing. The silver lining is that we called Cucina Urbana in Cobourg, which had been recommended to us, and they had a table available. We had a wonderful meal, close to the water, complete with wine and dessert. We will be back, Cucina Urbana.
