We've been slowly, but surely remodeling a home we purchased that had a lot of different outside flooring. At a home show back in early spring, we signed up for Polytek to come out and give us an estimate on over-laying old pre-existing concrete on a covered patio as well as the pool decking. Their technician measured all the cracks and assured us that (for an additional charge) they could repair those cracks and cover it all with this beautiful poly coating that they boast is so durable. Fortunately, we're normal middle income people, and opted to do this huge project in 2 phases. We started with the covered patio. The project was done in May and by end of June, we had a 6 foot crack running through our "beautiful" patio. Their response when I called them was that "it looks better than it did", "we're a Christian based company that takes pride in our work but concrete will crack, and there's nothing we can do". Fast forward to this past weekend, I saw a Facebook ad of theirs boasting about covering ugly concrete and I took advantage of the post. Nicely, I pointed our that they won't honor cracks as part of their great warranty. They replied back that they now have developed a caulking to repair cracks, could they call me to come out and fix it. OF COURSE I AGREED! Do not use this company for a pool deck!! The are selling their product as great for around the pool and it is not. It gets hot and burns your feet and when the deck is wet, it is slippery! I've had 3 kids slip and fall . When we called about it, they admitted it was a problem, and now they want to charge us more money to try to make it not as slippery! UNBELIEVABLE!!! We paid almost $8000 and now they want more money because it's slippery. Maybe it's good for a garage but definitely not around the pool. read more

We saw this product at a show here in Redding and it met our needs for resurfacing our patio in the backyard. Clean look with a little grit so we don't fall going in and out of the house from the pool. Polytek was extremely accommodating with their samples as I was indecisive when trying to pick the right color for us. We got scheduled and unfortunately it rained so the moisture on our concrete prevented the company from finishing the project until it completely dried. I appreciated this just because what looks dry to me doesn't mean it is was completely dry for their product. Thank you Donna for being so kind when we were calling multiple times to get updates. We had a 400SqFt. concrete patio poured about a year ago, it looked fantastic until the first little bit of rain came. The rain combined with falling oak leaves left Nasty Stains on the brand-new colored concrete. We decided to give PolyTek a call. And we are glad we did. The guys finished the project today.
