Outdoor Artisans promised to have this yard ready for an Open House viewing & professional photography service but left it like this. - The image shows a yard area in front of a house with a concrete porch. The yard has dirt, scattered bricks, debris, and a tangled black cable lying on the ground. Bushes and plants are visible on the sides, and the house has a sliding glass door with a screen. Two chairs are positioned on the porch near the door.

I'm genuinely disappointed to be writing about this terrible service, because I'd read good reviews about Outdoor Artisans and was hoping to have found a business that I could hire in perpetuity for both Commercial and residential properties. Unfortunately, the best thing I can say about the work they did is that it was inconsistent. The first half of the job was done well. And then, on the second day, they just seemed to hit a wall. It was like dealing with a completely different company, very odd. I'd hired this crew to clean up the yard of a house listed for sale. The job was primarily clearing organic debris like fallen trees & branches and weeds, and general tidying. There was an Open House planned for the day after the completion of the work, as well as a professional photography appointment. Some of the fallen wood was oak, and despite having already paid for several attempts to have it cleaned up by other contractors, the wood was hard & heavy and had presented a removal problem. I expressed the issues that we'd had, and let him know that I was concerned that the yard might not be tidied up adequately in time for the viewings. Kyle, the owner, listened to my concerns and reassured me that they were completely prepared to deal with the hardwood and that there was enough time for the job to be finished. The job is still unfinished ...although paid in full. (I've hired a renowned arborist to service our trees and he volunteered to remove the debris, and dangerous tree stumps in walkways near the house, that Outdoor Artisans simply left behind - after asking me who had left it that way. Our realtor and neighbors both also expressed surprise to see the poor/incomplete way the property had been left). Because Kyle guaranteed that the work would be completed, I agreed to hire his business for a fixed daily rate that would compensate four laborers for two full eight hour days. On day one, Kyle arrived with his four workers and stayed for little while. The friendly team of four were great, worked hard and made a lot of progress ~ and although he did not stay to supervise them, returning to collect their pay at the end of the eight hour shift ~ I told Kyle that I was pleased with the day's outcome. He stated that he would return at 7 am the next day, with a crew of four again, for another full day. This, unfortunately, was never to transpire. only two workers ever arrived, and only one of them at a time was on the property and steadily working during any given moment. They were inadequately equipped. One of them, looked to be around my age, had no gloves and was using his hands to move weeds and sticks from the ground into (my) wheelbarrow (as they hadn't been provided one by the business owner) one small pile at a time, walking 5-10 feet per pile. One of them, O'Riley, had encountered problems with his chainsaw the day before, and it was plain to see that he had received no support with the problem from management/ownership since that time though I'd heard him asking for help. Miranda, Kyle's wife, arrived and sat down on a tree stump for a long time, fiddling with the saw's chain and making grumpy faces. She had been stalking my Facebook page and seemed unhappy to be there, as did both of the employees there who were without working tools that she seemed to be there to assist. Though the two took turns working for most of the day, I overheard them talking and they were both feeling very badly, and sick of feeling badly. O'Riley was the only one who had been there both days, and he had really gone above and beyond. He had a great personality and his work ethic was on point. He worked really hard, without supervision, and even though Day 2 was obviously a difficult experience for him, he stuck with it. Kyle eventually showed up, but he wouldn't allow ORiley to take a breather to pet the horse while we talked. Kyle wanted payment. I asked him what I owed him for this day, because it had been nothing comparable to day one. He responded with the same amount: another $1200. This gave me pause and he must have seen it because he assured me that he was coming back, that he would return with the truck & trailer for another load, that he wasn't done yet. It IS true that he wasn't done yet. He tore out of my yard so fast that he left a dust cloud behind him and tore up the gravel on the driveway and left the front gate - on a fast, busy street - wide open, enabling the animals to escape. Horses, goats, dogs and chickens - any of these on Old Oregon Trail near the freeway and colleges could be catastrophic for the community. I waited until the next day to see if Kyle would contact me regarding the unfinished yard. They left piles of weeds, branches, pieces of trees that they'd removed and the stumps of the trees that they'd removed. I have been raking every day and looking for a competitor of theirs to finish the job that they were paid for but didn't care enough to finish. ...Caveat emptor!

A modern, single-story house with a light-colored exterior and a gable roof is visible. The front yard is landscaped with small bushes, young trees supported by stakes, and gravel ground cover. There is a sidewalk and street in the foreground, and neighboring houses are partially visible. The sky is clear and blue, indicating a sunny day.

We hired Outdoor Artisans to landscape our backyard. We met with Kyle and went over ideas of what we wanted and let him know our budget. He provided great suggestions on things in order to stay within our budget. He has transformed our backyard from red clay to an amazing area for us to enjoy for years. Everyone was friendly, polite, and great to work with. Kyle kept us informed throughout the process! I highly recommend Outdoor Artisans for your next yard project and will definitely use them again! Thank you so much Kyle and crew!

The image depicts a close-up view of a wooden fence constructed with vertical planks, with a small gap at the bottom. The fence is supported by a concrete base visible beneath the wood. Surrounding the base are soil and dried leaves, with green ivy plants growing at the bottom right corner of the image. The sunlight casts shadows on the fence, highlighting the texture of the wood and the natural elements around it.
