Matthew and his team were a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend Tree of Righteousness for your arborist needs. We have a plot of land in Shasta Lake that was home to over 15 trees. We plan to build on the land and needed all the trees removed with the exception of a walnut tree. The team cut down all the trees and ground up majority of the stumps. The team also pruned the walnut tree and gave us some fertilizing advice to help it grown strong. Thank you, Tree of Righteousness! read more

Tree of Righteousness - Landscaping Near Me

Hired to trim my trees. Probably cut 10 branches. At first, I was just in shock that I paid 1400$ for something I could have done. And actually I ended up finishing the job. Contacting him multiple times to come up with a solution. Nothing. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE. See picture of what we actually ended up cutting ourselves. read more

We are beyond pleased with the hard work that these young men did today! They worked early and quietly, quickly, safely, and very very hard. We appreciated Jonathon's interaction on the shaping of the live oak that remained. His expertise in removing that massive tall oak that was surrounded by fencing, house, and propane tank was perfection and took quite a bit of work without a boom. He is an above average employee who shared his knowledge with Zach who was hard working and eager as well. We are blessed to have met you and will not forget you for future work. You are our tree service from this moment on! Tree of Righteousness is a fitting name!! read more

Very happy with response, pricing and their overall professional set up. Would use them again! read more

Matthew and his crew did an amazing job. I reached out to Matthew about my fruit trees and he gave me an affordable quote and was at my home the next day! The crew was professional, clean, and my trees came out looking better than they ever have. Not only did they trim them but the fertilized them as well. I have already recommended them to multiple neighbors/friends. Tree of Righteousness is now my go to Tree Company! read more

Before you hire a landscaper, beware. On January 16th, the crew from this company was working on my neighbor's yard, a branch fell on my garden and destroyed my 20 papayas. ALL my plants were destroyed by them, 6 were ready to be on the ground, and the other 14, were 2 months old plants which I grew from seeds. The owner gave me his word he would replace them. I called him yesterday and he hung up on me. Something to consider when you are an honorable person and this person may damage your neighbor's property and will choose not to do the "right" thing. read more

Booked their palm tree, weeds and removal services after seeing a coupon. At first I was happy with the quality of work even though the price seemed high. But after paying full price they never completed the job. My removal service I paid for was not complete and they became unresponsive. In addition the weed spraying seemed to be lazily done since weeds popped up shortly after. You can find better options. read more

I found Matt on Facebook and got a quote before doing the work. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. The weather delayed us a bit but they came and trimmed our palms, removed a tree that was damaging the fence and trimmed up a bunch of other areas. Fast and easy! read more

This is a difficult review to write, as I have never given less than 5 stars for a review. To start, Matt is a very nice person. He showed up on time for our initial consultation, discussed the project with me, and quoted a price for labor plus materials for building some planters and a storage cabinet for my new outdoor kitchen. Right off the bat, the purchase of materials was out of control - they cost 3 times what he estimated. His explanation: "you have to understand, materials are very expensive right now." OK, I went along. He said the project would be completed in 3 days. It took 10. His explanation: "you have to understand, I am trying to make this look great." I was patient (also acknowledging that he had a family emergency). He told me the planters would match my fence and barbeque area, and yet, he purchased materials that did not match. His explanation: "you have to understand, the store did not have wood trim in the same size, and trust me, this will look great." By this point I admonished him that no, I did not need to understand, and no I did not need to trust him. I hired him to be the expert and to handle the agreed-upon project, which was not being executed. He and his workers regularly arrived late in the day (around 4 p.m.) and worked well into the evening. I had to cut them off because they were still cutting wood at 9:00 p.m. - not ok in my quiet residential neighborhood. Every day it was something else, including the day he asked me to pay for a new saw blade. I refused - having spent a substantial amount of money on home remodeling recently, I know that this type of equipment should be accounted for in his cost of doing business. But by this point, in reviewing the receipts for materials, I found that he had even already included work gloves and other items in the materials costs that I paid. In addition, I paid him a deposit when he wrote the contract, and an additional progress payment at the end of the first day of work, as agreed. While the final balance was due upon completion, he returned to me asking for another sizeable progress payment before much additional work had been completed. We did negotiate a schedule for some small incremental payments, but Matt wisely did not ask for them until the project was complete. I originally called Matt because I was looking for someone to handle landscaping (planting and irrigation), and when he said he was not interested in that part of the project, he offered to help with the building component. In retrospect, I should not have taken the offer, but it also appears that he was out of his league and should not have taken the job. The results are nice, but the amount of supervision and direction I had to provide, along with the amount of aggravation that I experienced, were not worth it. Perhaps he is good at weed removal, but I will never know. read more

Tree of Righteousness - a broken umbrella on the ground - Landscaping Near Me

Saw Tree of Righteousness on Facebook just as I had been thinking about getting some trees trimmed. I emailed the company, Matt contacted me quickly and set up a date for my free quote. Matt came out, was on time, and went over all my options. The crew came out, also on time, they were all very friendly and started work quickly! Topped off 3 Italian Cypresses, lifted up a Bottlebrush that was covering the roofs of my shed and chicken coop, and shaped my tangerine tree. Only took a couple hours. Very smooth deal! read more

Tree of Righteousness was recommended to me by my lawn service company. I had a dead tree in my front yard that needed to be cut down and the stump ground out. Matt's crew arrived on time and not only removed the dead tree but trimmed two others and cut down two other small trees. All his employees were respectful and easy to work with. I would use this company again. I recommend Matt and his team for all your tree service needs. read more

Mathew is truly a genuine human being!! We contacted this business for palm tree removal and trimming, as well as two of our lemon trees needed trimming. Mathew came out gave us a quote, which was truly fair. We had family coming in for a visit in a few days. Even with the rain, they were able to complete the project in great time frame!! His crew was effecient and cleaned up all the palms, branches, in record timing and chipped and hauled all away. We will be using them again!! Thanks Mathew, even more for the "prayer". read more

Needed to have some trees trimmed/removed from the bank in my back yard. Tree of Righteousness came to my attention, since my next door neighbor was using the company (and I could see the great work they were doing). In speaking with Matt, I was very impressed with his professionalism, his knowledge of trees, plus the fair estimate he gave me. I gave the job to Matt and his team, and am glad I did, and am happy with the result. I can highly recommend them. read more

Requested a quote and never received a call back. Poor customer service. $2000 job lost. Taking my business elsewhere.

Matt was extremely polite, respectful, and professional. We met in person to log and chip a large fallen tree in my front yard. His crew completed.the job ahead of schedule at a fair price. Even the neighbors who stopped by and asked for the wood said he was very polite and kind. I will be using him again. Furthermore, said neighbor has also contacted him about work at his place! read more

Tree of Righteousness answered promptly to my search for help with a large tree weed that was growing on a sloping hill in my back yard and threatening to fall over the fence. They gave me the best estimate over the phone so I booked them. They came over (on time) a few days later and took care of the problem in less than an hour. They also swept up the yard in order to not leave a mess which was much appreciated. I will definitely be using them for help with weeds and lawn care again!! read more
