Honestly the worst experience I've ever had in any retail store. Not only was I embarrassed but I was completely humiliated in front of the entire store and in front of my own children. So I'm in the store shopping with my 1 year old who is in a stroller and my 3 year old who is on foot. My three year old decided to jump on top of the stroller causing it to completely flip over side ways with my one year old in it. We had 2 sonic drinks in the cup holder in the stroller and they also fell out on the floor and on clothing. At the moment I was more concerned about my kids because they had just fallen especially my 1 year old so now I'm just in shock and I did pick up the cups but all I had was baby wipes and the mess was obviously too big for me to try to quickly wipe up. An associate passed by and looked at me rudely and I told her I apologize that this happened and she just kept walking. I wasn't done shopping yet but now I'm just ready to go because of the situation. I get to the counter to checkout and the manager on duty at the time, PATRICK, walks to me and ask me if that was my mess back there that I left and do I need something to clean it up. I told him no and I explained to him not to talk to me in that manner or tone , especially without acknowledging the fact that my children had just fallen. He never asked if my kids where okay or if I was okay but he wanted me to go back there and clean up a mess. I've never seen in any retail store or store period where when a customer makes a mess , they are asked to clean it up. He insisted on going back in forth with me instead of just walking off and once I told him that he wasn't going to make me not say how I felt he told me that I couldn't check out. At this point I'm really pissed because I never cursed him or tried to get aggressive with him. I did raise my voice at him because of how his tone was. Now I'm being asked to leave the store or they will call security on me. I'm 4 months pregnant so I'm just confused like how do I get kicked out of a store when I just taking up for myself and the manager is clearly being mean and rude. Another employee was eating cookies behind the register and was talking out loud saying how wrong it was that I left a mess so I told her NO, it wrong that nobody has asked me if my children are okay or worried about what just happen other than a mess. I asked for corporates number and I wanted to call in the store, they still had security called on me so at the point I'm on the phone with corporate while security is pretty much standing over me Iike I'm a child. I was so embarrassed. Customers kept looking at me, I asked the security to leave me alone because at this point I'm just on the phone with customer service so I don't see what's the rush for me to leave the store if I can't even purchase anything. My last point I want to make is how did this manager, PATRICK, expect me to clean up a mess that not only was on the floor but on the clothing. Was he going to give me a mop and a washing machine ? Did he really expect me as a customer to get down on the floor at 4 months pregnant to clean up a mess when there is employees there that can help ? I'm sorry this location has out such bad taste in my mouth. Definitely needs new management and customer service skills because this is not how you treat people. Shame. read more
