I've purchased from many boutiques, but I've never encountered such horrible customer service as I have from Lady Elle. I think the poor customer service given by Lady Elle Boutique really reflects badly on the establishment and the owner--which is obvious, since I writing an unfavorable review. I had been researching black knee length dresses for my friend's wedding where I'll be a bridesmaid. I had run across a stunning dress that was a bit out of my price range and also seemed to be sold out everywhere online. Unless you are a size 0. Which I am not. If you've seen my other reviews, you know i like to eat! hehe Well, I walked into this cute boutique shop not really expecting to find anything. But low and behold...there is the exact dress that I had been drooling over online. And the best part...the only one they had left was my exact size! It was a sign from the fashion gods! Carla must have this dress! I tried to let my reasonable and practical engineering mind take over. It didn't last long. I went back on Monday and purchased my lovely little black dress. They still had it on hold for me. Don't be surprised if I'm not making as many reviews in the future. I will be on a strict food and wallet diet for a good while now... :)

I've had my current pair for going on 3 years now and they still look (and feel) good as new. While Tecovas are by no means cheap, the longevity and in-store hospitality you get do justify the cost. After several wears, my boots get dusty, and I'll bring them in for a free shine which takes no more than 10 minutes. On my latest visit, I was asked to wait in line because the store was "a bit crowded." Their store is open concept and while the display and fitting area was slightly congested, I was only coming in to get my boots shined but was still told that I needed to wait in line. Perhaps it's fire code or the like, but I've definitely seen other stores where customers were more densely packed together than it was here. On other visits and at other stores, I am usually offered a complimentary bevy while I wait for my shoes to get shined. During this visit, the staff behind the counter didn't really care to make eye contact, so I had to "excuse me?" to one of the employees to engage with them. Upon requesting a beverage, she asked for my ID, and kindly poured me a whiskey on the house. My boots always come out looking nice and shiny, so no doubt I'll keep coming back here for the shines. The parking situation in Rice Village is tough, but the only other Tecovas store is in CityCentre, where parking is just as bad if not worse. So definitely come here with intention or if you have other business to take care of in the village.

He then told me the store seemed a little full so I would have to form a line. When I looked inside there were plenty of empty seats and some employees who appeared not busy because they were on their phones. Sad to see this at this location especially since all parking is pay to park nowadays. The Town and Country location was the same size and had lots of people there and never turned people away. The T&C location brought out extra chairs. I'll take my boot business to that location in the future.

The store has a very unassuming exterior. I would have totally missed it if I had not been to the original Sid Mashburn in the Westside district of Atlanta. It is an upscale niche-ish menswear / lifestyle store. It mostly caters to those who read GQ religiously. Now that I think about it, I think the store has grown because of the constant exposure it gets in #menswear blogs and magazines. For the lack of better term, I'd say the style of the store is a trendier / less conservative version of Brooks Brothers with better attention to fit. The premise of the store is that you shouldn't expect clothes to fit perfectly off the rack and are meant to be altered. That's why they have an in-house tailor that can alter the items to fit you in exactly the way you want. As far as the prices go, it's not cheap. A good looking suit here costs about 4 grand. Shirts are 150+. They also do bespoke and made-to-measure orders with Kiton and other high-end companies. They mostly focus on their house label but they do carry an assortment of upscale brands that I haven't seen much in Houston yet. -Alden, Edward Green, Filson, Diptyque (well, this one not so much), Levi's I think the quality of the house-label, especially the shirts, is a little disappointing. Sure, the fabric may be a little better but it just doesn't warrant the over-the-top price tag. I feel like you can get decent suits made with Loro Piana or Cerruti for much less if you look in the right place. With that said, the service here is impeccable and that's reflected in the price. I'd recommend this place if you got that River Oak$ money and are looking to add a little flare to your office attire or to "outfashion" your co-workers perhaps.

They are ridiculously comfortable, fit great, hold up well, and are just about perfect for working out. What in the heck happened to the dude who grew up in Algiers? I guess my transition into a full-blown Mandevillian has finally been realized. Eighty-dollar workout shorts from lululemon. There is no going back now. As for the Rice Village location, it's a nice store with a good selection and plenty of people working to help. It was absolutely packed when we were there, but that really didn't bother me. The team here has always been really nice with helping out at the dressing room or answering questions while letting you have your personal space when browsing. They've been super nice and understanding with exchanges and returns-- I had a pair of shorts with the plastic tag that broke off that still accepted. Only downside is that I've noticed that they don't carry a lot of sizes so end up ordering it online in store for you to ship to your home. Park in the nearby garages for free 2 hour parking!
