They are located on a corner and parking is limited. I found street parking on the side street, about a block down in front of a house. We walked inside Gus's about 11:30 am on a Wednesday. They were busy' but had a number of open tables. There are mostly square and rectangular 4-top tables. We chose one by the front windows. A moment after we sat down, our server, Joe K came by to greet us and he took our drink order. Menu's are at the table, so we studied a bit and were ready for Joe when he brought our drinks. I ordered: - Unsweetened Iced Tea - 3 Piece Dark Chicken Plate (my choice: leg, leg, thigh) with Greens and BBQ Beans My wife ordered: 2 Piece White Chicken Plate (breast, wing) with Mac-Cheese and BBQ Beans The chicken was the star for sure. The BBQ Beans weren't special but were decent. The Greens, decent. With each meal plate, the chicken is served on a slice of white bread. The chicken was fried to a deep brown and was real tasty. My dark meat was juicy and tender. My wife's white meat was drier but normal for white meat. My wife's felt the chicken skin was maybe overcooked as it was tough. It was fine to me. I ate her skin :) We'll be back to Gus's!

Our waiter was sweet and we even had dessert. Recommend the chocolate pie warmed with ice cream. Love. Definitely not too bad. Will come back again. And try different sides.

This isn't the first time I've had this issue with them, which makes it even more frustrating. When I called to speak with the manager, he was very rude and offered no help or solution at all. On top of that, when the food was delivered, both containers of beans had spilled completely, leaving us with a huge mess to clean up before we could even serve anything. After my last experience (and the poor customer service), I told myself I wouldn't order from them again--but I decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately, it was a mistake. I read the reviews and this is a popular restaurant. I noticed they have a location by TCU too! Here's what I discovered. I love the atmosphere but the windows were tinted pretty dark so, it looked like it was closed. However, it was not. There were quite a few people inside. The music was on and the temperature inside was just right but the temperature of the Cashier was not. She seemed like she was in a bad mood and she didn't want to take my order and was rushing because, she was talking so, fast I couldn't understand her. I ordered a Slider and Fries. The Chicken Strip was hearty, a lot bigger than Raising Canes, that's for sure. The taste was lacking. Ugg, it did not have a good taste. I do not know what seasoning they used but, it was not to my liking. The Fries were dry and flavorless. In sum, it was not yum. Service was slow and rude. I like the ambiance, colorful, unique with Chicken decor, really cute. I wanted to like this place but, it fell short in my opinion.

Have been back since then. Talk about your corner hole in the wall type places. It's located in the middle of an L shaped strip building. Inside is clean, and spacious. Nothing fancy here, but plenty of tables and a few booths. They have a covered outside patio, which might even be fully enclosed, with some pool tables. The bar location is on the back wall, with lots of seating. Full bar, with a reasonable amount of draft beers, and several good ones along with the normal commercial swill. I sat at the bar both times, and got great service. First time I did the usual and checked out the salsa and queso. Both were good and didn't taste like pre made stuff. If it was, well they picked a couple of winners. The serving was more than ample, more then I could eat over the course of the visit. Second time I went back, I was going to make a point to try the onion rings since they looked so good in the pics. As I was looking at the menu I noticed they had a Montecristo sandwich. As I've mentioned before, I have yet to find anything that even remotely comes close to the holy grail of MC sandwiches, the one and only made by Bennigan's. Of course, I ordered it, and the onions rings. I'm happy to say the MC here is the closest I've ever come to find. It was really good, and the jam served with it was also pretty dead on. It was a little nasty like it should be, but not as greasy as it should be, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. The onion rings were really good, even if the batter was flaking off a bit. Anyway, I like the place, wish I could drag myself out more. Been customers here every time I've been, but not as many that should be. They also have a digital jukebox so if you're here and ever hear something bizarre playing, it's probably me. Service and staff have always been very good. They know how to make a pretty good margarita as well, and prices are very good.

I often come here and get the five piece chicken tenders for my father and I order several chicken breasts. Their chicken breasts are exquisite. I would've given this place five stars had not been for the service last visit. I went through the drive-through and ordered our typical order with six extra bread rolls, because those are some of our favorite. We get home, I opened the order, and there's no bread rolls, and we were missing two chicken breasts! I looked at the receipt, and sure enough we had paid for those, but they forgot to include them. So not wanting to cause a big kerfuffle, I got back in the car drove the five minutes down the street back to Lisa's, but they were closing as it was just at 10 PM. I drove through the drive-through window tapped on the glass and a woman opened the glass, telling me they were closed. I kindly explained to her that we did not get all of our order. She looked at me, rolled her eyes and said I'm sorry we're out of chicken. We have no more left. I asked her may I please have my bread rolls down. Not saying a word she slams the window, goes in for about five minutes, comes back out and just tosses the rolls to me and slams the window. No apology no we're sorry. No come back later and get your chicken tomorrow. It was awful. This woman needs a lesson in customer service, so don't come here expecting good customer service, and check your order every time you leave.
