I come here often. The tortas are really good!!! However I've gotten charged differently every time I order the same thing. It's really frustrating. One time I got charged someone else's bill and didn't notice till I thought why it was so high? The number listed here is not the one they use. The number they use is on the menu

Consumers in general are judgmental. First impression is all when we try to consume a product. Unfortunately due to that mindset we experience the tragedy of missing out really good food. This is my experience with this taqueria. For years I've been living in this side of town. And I cannot even tell you the countless times I have driven by and ignore it. My brother recently told that I'm really missing out great food. So me and my girlfriend drove this time and give it a try. Again, I have always judged this based on appearance. Not a bite I have tried before. Is not shining nor has the most popular look from the outside. But as you park you can tell that there's a comfortable feeling. Like one of those place where immediately you say: I want to eat in this outdoor. Again, the place is not the most shining nor has the most popular looking from the outside. As you crossed the front door go get you sit. Don't expect to be sit it because this ain't Wicked Butcher or Ellerbe lol. The place inside is open, spacious and colorful. It have TV and to my surprise they don't serve alcohol!!! Yup! No corona, craft beer or that margarita you've been craving for. But let me be the first one to say that after my fort bite I did not missed my beer at all. Menu was very simple and straightforward for the reader. We order some gorditas de pollo y al pastor. Both of them delicious. You can tell they have no fear to season. I also tasted some of the best aguas frescas I ever had. I love the rustic and organic vibe from the decor. It just feel like 1990's kind of restaurant. Service is very fast, friendly and attentive. In my opinion this place is a hidden gem. Food is great! Service on point! Is only waiting for you!

Wack! How the hell does this place stay open? Giant high chairs and high priced items would make anybody stay away well at least I won't come back. How is this a Mexican joint and not have a 3 taco plate? And the most insulting part NO CHIPS AND SALSA!!! And man do they over load it with cilantro as a filler to cover up the little amount of meat that is used. Small baby cup of rice $2.50 can of soda $1.50 Grilled onions $1.50 Jalapeño $1.50 Cup of water $1.50 Each taco $1.75 FUNK THIS PLACE!!! Tacos weren't even that good so why the nickel and dime prices? I actually asked if I get charged for sitting inside and to breath the air because of how they charge for little things. I'm pretty sure they charge for using salsa so NOPE ILL PASS ON THIS SPOT!!!

This is a taco truck in a parking lot of a hair salon. They have tacos con pollo, bistek, asada, barbacoa, pastor, lingua, and many others...even tripa. Get the corn tortillas with cilantro, lettuce, and onions. Their red sauce is unbelievably hot and their green sauce is good too. And they're only $1.25 each. This is why I live in Texas.

Food was nasty. Didn't enjoy it at all. Tacos, burrito and tortas had no flavor, fries were burnt and tasted like old oil.

What is not to love? As we're celebrating our 55th anniversary this month we were presented with a lovely, complementary sparkly rose. As today is Cinco de Mayo a Margarita was in order and the house pour was lovely. We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

The outdoor seating is so charming lush plants, colorful flowers, and a peaceful fountain that makes you want to stay awhile. I had the chicken fajita bowl, and it was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. The margaritas were definitely tempting but I behaved and stuck with water... next time for sure. Only minor thing, there was water on the floor going into and inside the bathroom, which could be a slipping hazard. A "wet floor" sign would definitely help. Beautiful atmosphere, relaxed vibe. Such a great little getaway in the middle of the day.

But we always hear people talk about how great Joe T's is so we thought maybe we just an isolated bad experience 15 years ago. But this time, it was even worse. Maybe people don't speak unfavorably out of fear of being shamed for not praising this "institution"? We arrived on a Wednesday at 5:30 so fortunately our unpleasant experience was not further worsened with a wait. The patio is still very beautiful and umbrellas were positioned to provide ample shade. But the fly situation was very annoying and could probably be helped with the spinning devices on tables or fans spread throughout the patios. The beauty of the patio doesn't compensate enough to endure the flies. The service started out good with waters, chips/salsa brought instantly. But within 15 minutes the service rapidly declined as more customers were seated. It was very tedious to the point of annoying to get refills on our drinks. Literally within 2-3 minutes of ordering we asked our waitress to switch one of the fajita orders from chicken to beef. She initially said "oh I'm sorry but I JUST put the order in". We looked puzzled and said "ok then it shouldn't be a problem changing it?" She went on to explain that she would add the beef to our table and just switch the chicken order to another table next to us who ordered chicken that she had not put in yet. All of that sounded very bizarre but the food was correct when it was delivered our table. At the time the plates were brought we requested a side of sour cream but it didn't come. After 5-10 minutes we spotted our server and requested it from her. But we still never got the sour cream. As I was paying the tab my daughter noticed that we were charged for an extra chicken fajita. So even though the server got the beef fajita added right after we ordered, she didn't take the chicken off the bill. She adjusted it once we pointed out the error. The food was the biggest disappointment out of all of it. I will always give grace to sub par service or atmosphere if the food is great. I say this with the utmost sincerity, I've had more flavorful beef and chicken at Chipotle. The chicken was so dry and served in big chunks which made it even tougher to chew. I seriously could not detect a hint of any seasoning, not even salt. It was very hot but not like the traditional sizzling fajita hot, more like it had been sitting in a heating pan or under heat lamps. For way too long. The beef was a tad bit easier to chew than the chicken but just as bland. The queso that we ordered tasted like canned cheese sauce watered down with chicken or vegetable broth and a tablespoon of pico added. The portion sizes of the entrees, the tortillas, the pico, the guacamole were all very generous. It's just a shame that it doesn't taste good.

I noted their beautiful Mexican pots with fabulous plants around the establishment. We were seated and waited on quickly....ordered margaritas, which was a little bit difficult, because I don't understand Spanish and it seemed our waitress knew little English or we just could not understand her. This was frustrating, can you imagine how long it took us to order the meal. Once done when the chicken & steak fajitas came out fresh and sizzling. Chicken was tender and seasoned perfectly where the steak was tough & bland. The wrong beans were brought, but OH Well, no big deal They have a variety of dishes to select from. They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
