I have lived in Burleson for almost 5 years but this is my first time here. Their chips and tortillas are homemade and quality. It is nice that they come complimentary while you wait for your food. They have two kinds of salsa, ine spicy than the other. The food came out quickly and I got their fish tacos and they were pretty good. I wish the strips were a little bigger but the sauce and coleslaw was nice and fesh. My husband got the chicken burrito and he liked it as well. First time here and our waitress was nice and checked on us regularly. I ordered the beef street tacos, which I got on corn and flour tortilla. I prefer the one on flour. It also came with rice and beans. They were both flavorful, but the beans were on the somewhat spicy side, if you're into that. Overall, a pretty good place for Mexican food. read more

Sunday my Older children came to take me out to eat, I love Mexican inns Chips and salsa so the Burleson location is my go-to spot! The environment was very inviting for it being a Sunday, it was busy but not chaotic. Food had a lot of flavor, the last time I have been it seemed like there was a lot of pepper in the chicken tortilla soup, but this time it was amazing! Our server Megan was phenomenal, very articulate with the menu as well as making recommendations! Here's the rub: Yes, there are better places with fancier menus, restaurants, and price tags. In Texas, there are any number of Latin food places on every street. Mexican Inn is consistent. The food is always hot and plentiful, the drinks are generous, and there is a sense of comfort in knowing what to expect when you just want to unwind after a long day at work, shopping, or traveling. The bright and shining star of the Mexican Inn cafe was the waitress Tiffany, although she accidentally stuck her hand and oven mitt into half my food while trying to turn the plate around so a stem wouldn't extend in my direction. Nice thought, poor execution. Although she was busy, she was all over getting things to me in a timely manner. Friendly and professional. As far as the food goes I wouldn't feed it to a stray hungry dog. The chips and salsa were terrible and set the stage for everything else. The chips looked and tasted like old, warmed up greasy Fritos. The sauce was tomatoes ground up with no seasoning. Uuuggh! Ordered the Sonoma which consisted of a cheese chile relleno and two chicken enchiladas. The enchiladas were the worst I have ever had. Cold, bland beyond belief. The chile relleno was better, but nothing special. The ambiance was only ok since I couldn't see much from the corner booth they put me in, in an otherwise empty restaurant. I have a LONG history of dining at Mexican Inn Cafes. In fact probably longer than many of you have been alive, SMILES! I was 2 years old in 1951 when my mother and dad carried me into the location on Henderson Street in Fort Worth. I have always been a huge FAN since then. My wife and I had a meeting in the Burleson area. We were hungry for Tex-Mex after the meeting. We headed to Mexican Inn Cafe since it was close by and one of our favorites restaurants. We both absolutely love their homemade corn tortillas and those "addictive" Frito-type chips. It was dinnertime so we both ordered one of their awesome frozen Margaritas. They hit the spot after a long day. My wife and I decided to share an order of chicken and beef fajitas accompanied with all the fixings. Yummy. We had never had Mexican Inn's fajitas and decided to give them a try. We weren't disappointed. Mexican Inn's combination fajitas were delicious and very shareable. There was plenty for 2 people. The beef and chicken were extremely tender and the onions caramelized perfectly. We walked away with very happy tummies. Service during our visit was very attentive and friendly. read more

We've visited Mexican Inn restaurants and while they aren't the greatest, they are good. My wife ordered, as is her normal fare, fajitas. The waitress asked her if she wanted guacamole or cheese. She said yes not knowing what a normal side for this dish was actually an up charge. A sneaky way to charge more. When we asked for an additional to go box for the tortillas, the waitress rolled her eyes. Bad move. My normal tip is 30 percent so her eye roll cost her 10 dollars. We figure food we don't eat is good for leftovers and the restaurant hopefully isn't feeding our uneaten chips or tortillas to another customer. read more
