Located in downtown Crowley Texas, this restaurant has the hometown feel with excellent food, service, and friendly atmosphere. All food is authentic and I believe made daily. When I visit my sister, we eat there. She can even call in an order for pickup and they know her name and usually what she is going to order. That says a lot...she loves Fajitas House. This is a casual little place to get authentic Mexican food. I went for lunch with a few colleagues and we all ordered off of the lunch menu a sit had a great selection and good prices. I had the beef chimichanga it was so good. The beans and rice were delicious also and everything came out hot and fresh. Our server was very attentive and got our drinks and food fast. I'll preface with saying the service and establishment was nice, however if you want the cheapest, hardest, and grisly cut of steak come here! I came here based off the reviews and I find myself writing a review at 1:54am because my stomach has been uneasy since eating at this establishment. The flavors were there for sure but I felt like a dog with a chew toy. The majority of the meat was inedible. I ask for my steak to be cooked medium and I got a chew toy! Horrible. So having said that, their refried beans were so dry, they were cracking, and the Spanish rice was bland. So I already had low expectations unfortunately. Finally tried fajita house after hearing about it for years! It was absolutely delicious! We got the combo fajita meat quesadilla, chicken chimichanga, beef fajitas, and some sopapillas and all were great! They even gave us some chips and salsa because we ordered to go. My only recommendation is more cinnamon sugar on the sopapillas. read more

I ordered chicken and rice plate that came covered in cheese with beans on the side the rice was supper salty and I'm pretty sure that the beans are canned beans which it really lame . I also got a flan which was decent but not to die for uno. I called to let them know that the rice was salty and (my friend got a chicken quesadilla with no chicken) that they forgot the chicken in the quesadilla. I'm a long time resident along the 1187 corridor in Burleson, and Crowley is actually closer to me. I had been past this restaurant many times, but today I thought I'd try it. I got there a little after noon, and saw a police car in the parking lot. I figured the food was good. I went in an saw 4 policemen inside, which I consider to be an indication of hearty, filling food. I was seated at a booth, given a menu, and immediately saw the enchiladas with queso sauce, rice and beans for $6.95. I ordered that with a side of guac, because I love to slather it on the enchiladas. Good guac. The chips were not at all greasy and the salsa was served in a mini carafe. My only note about the chips is that some looked like they had been lightly sprinkled with chili powder. I prefer mine without chili powder. The main course came quite quickly. It was hot, but not as hot as if it had just come out if the oven. I found the enchiladas to be bland. I don't salt my food, so if I do it has to have very little flavor. The rice and beans were pretty standard. I do like ice cream, so I ordered fried ice cream for dessert. It came to the table rather fast. It was huge! I figured it was big because the kitchen had piled a bunch of whipped cream on it. I was wrong. The amount of ice cream was probably equivalent to 3 scoops. Rolled in tortilla crumbs, it was served in an orange tortilla cup, with the aforementioned whipped cream and chocolate sauce. This thing could easily have been an entree! All in all not bad for lunch. I recommend you eat dessert first, because after all, life is uncertain! read more

If you're looking for quality, authentic, and local, non-chain Mexican food this is the place for you. The house salsa is perfect, the chips need salt added which is no big deal. We got the guacamole which was a perfect amount of flavor and perfection. My fiancé got the fajita compresetes and loved it all. He said the chicken was okay, not okay but not super flavored, however he said the menu didn't claim the chicken would be. I got the camerones manzanillo, aka shrimp enchiladas. They were perfect, juicy, the sauce was divine. I have never enjoyed a Mexican restaurant in all of DFW more than I've enjoyed this place. This restaurant deserves a full house, not only because of the food, but also because of the staff and the Selena Quintenalla Perez music that plays throughout the restaurant. Great hidden gem in downtown Crowley. Lived here for over 5 years before trying this place and for a non chain restaurant it was very good. The day we went was lunch time and place was crowded. Since I live on the edge of Crowley and Fort Worth, I could go either way to eat. The Fajita House is on Main Street in little ol Crowley. I've been eyeballing this place for over a year now. I pass it every day picking up my kids from school. Since there is hardly any reviews on Yelp, lack of a menu, and wanting to prevent a stomach ache I never stopped to try. Today, Fajita House was calling my name. Since I am tired eating at the same places for lunch in my area of Fort Worth I thought, why not? They have changed their named to Toritos Tex Mex Grill even though it still says Fajita House on the outside. It was pretty big inside! Plenty of booths, which I like. The music was appropriate. They played mostly Selena songs! I Could Fall in Love is one of my favorites and started playing when we sat down. The chips and salsa were good. The salsa was on the mild side with lots of cilantro and onions. The queso I didn't care for. It was kind of cheez whizzy/velveeta type of cheese. I got the combo (beef and chicken) fajitas. It comes with rice, beans, pico, guac , and sour cream. Mostly rice and beans with a little corner for meat and chicken. It was a small portion of meat, but it was lunch and only $7.50. You can't beat that. That's all I needed and it was filling. The chicken I really liked. The beef I didn't care for. The rice and beans were really good as well. I will be back because I would like to try other things on their menu. It's a nice little place for Crowley if you want mexican/tex mex and don't want to go to Burleson or Fort Worth. read more

Come here often the sweet tea is fantastic I love the salsa even though it's a tad bit too hot for me. the special with the 12 enchiladas is a very good deal however I'm not a big fan of the cheese sauce they call it dip. The fajitas are always fantastic here the only thing I wouldn't do is order a steak because I don't know how to cook anything other than well done. the servers are all very good I had an incident with one server and I thought it was going to hate him forever but he redeemed himself well and he's waiting on us often since. We attempted this just because yesterday. The shrimp quesadillas were not so much appended however they had a decent taste to them. The guacamole was great. The salsa was great. The queso was horrible however it wasn't too costly so we recently assumed that misfortune. My mother requested the fajitas and she cherish them. The first time I came in I was a little bummed I couldn't get a beer with my food but I was reminded that the restaurant was too close to the schools to get a liquor license and that the restaurant was BYOB. Fajita House. I got charged almost $40 for 2 take out fajita dinners. They were good but $40? I had lots of food that much is true but when I called I spoke to a man and said me and my daughter wanted takeout. He gave me a few choices of meat for fajitas and asked a few questions to make the order. Once I arrived no one greeted me. I stood there for awhile before someone sauntered over and I told them I was there for carry out. Lots of food came and then the bill. I paid it but it was too much. The conversation with the order taker should have revealed the amount and the price. My daughter is small and I'm average. It was too much food and too much money.
