This is going to be difficult to write what I want to, and fit within the allotted characters, but I will do my best. First, I would like to thank Dr. Pollack and his staff. Not only did they make me feel welcome when I entered the office, it started much before that. When I called for a consultation appointment the staff answered the phone with cheer and did everything they could to listen, and guide me through the process of becoming a new patient. They made me feel heard and just truly blow me away with their warmth and friendly attitudes. They make you feel like they've known you forever! I look forward to going to the doctor (how many people can say that!?) Second, Dr. Pollock...oh Dr. Pollack. What can I say besides incredible!! He said it himself, he doesn't wear a cape, just does what he can to help, but I may have to buy him one because he is truly a super hero. I don't normally write reviews but this place is possibly dangerous. I went for a $150 consultation with Dr. Clemenza. I, like many other patients there, am tired of the healthcare system and being dismissed for several health issues. I just wanted a doctor that remembered me by name and could actually treat me holistically (by that I mean as the whole person, not what holistic has come to mean in this field). Dr. Clemenza came off as very warm and attentive. I felt heard. However, near the end of our conversation, she made some anti-vax implications. This was my first red flag, but I decided to finish the consult anyway. She then did some chiropractic exam where she told me my right leg was 3.5 inches shorter than my left LOL. If you're going to lie to me, make something up that wouldn't be extremely obvious for me or anyone that looks at me to notice. Then my spine is all screwed up blah blah blah. After all of this, they tried to sell me $2200 enzyme therapy. What? What enzyme? Will this enzyme make my right leg grow 3.5 inches? I brought in a completely normal CBC and they did no further testing, so i'm not sure how they determined I would need some vague enzyme for thousands of dollars. Once again, if you're going to lie to me, make it believable. Have me do some blood work and THEN talk to me about my enzymes (which I have also had checked by a real doctor- a GI- and those are normal too). I'm really disappointed as I wanted to find a doctor that would actually help me, but I will take responsibility as I didn't realize these people do not have MDs. I said they are possibly dangerous because I believe they are taking advantage of desperate people and having them spend thousands of dollars on ~enzymes~ and other unproven therapies, and potentially delaying them from seeking real care from real doctors for a real disease. read more

Came here due to shoulder, elbow, wrist and lack of energy issues. After a full exam and blood work a recovery regimen was prescribed. After 8 months all symptoms are gone. I was suffering with severe digestive issues as well as very bad allergies and asthma. My brothers daughter had started with Doctor Pollack for a series of issues and I saw for myself that she made huge improvements. I asked him for the info and set up a consultation. When I called I spoke with Keriann one of the two angels that he has working with him. She was extremely nice and explained the whole process to me and was able to email me the forms I needed. When I called back I spoke with the other angel Alissa. She is just as bubbly and nice as Keriann. She helped me navigate through sensitive paperwork and was very professional. These two angels make an already excellent experience that much better. I met with Dr. Pollack and we had a good conversation about what my issues were and how he thought he could help me. I will admit I did not believe a word. When so many doctors tell you they can help and fail, it makes it that much harder for those that can. I found Dr. Pollack to be a very educated young man with a great personality. He listened to me when I needed him too and he guided me to better health. He was there for me after my daughter was born and I got sick again and he helped me the day I was in a minor car accident when I was scared and banged up. He understands people and he really cares about his patients. His costs are high and yet he will work with you to find a solution that will work for everyone. He is NOT a scam and he does truly want to help people. - In 2009 I was first diagnosed to have ulcerative colitis. Before I met Dr. Pollack I had seen over a dozen different doctors ranging from traditional GI specialist to different kinds of holistic doctors. With each doctor I met I learned a little more about UC and auto-immune disorders. Although most of these doctors and specialist helped me get a little better I was still very sick and struggling on a daily basis with no avail. I would also like to note that the western medicine doctors were insisting I go on biology medicines to help my problem. I was and still are very skeptical of this approach as the side-effects are great and there are no guarantees that these medicines will even work. I met Dr. Pollack for the first time at a talk he was giving at Strictly Gluten Free, East Northport, NY in late July 2013. During his talk I learned how the digestive system really worked and how his specifically formatted enzymes could help. I figured I had tried just about everything at this point so i made an appointment the very next week. At my first consultation we sat in his office and discussed what I had been going through. He then took me into another room and did a very non-invasive test up and down my spine. We finished in his office discussing his findings and possible treatments plans. When he first told me of the large costs up front that would not be covered by my insurance I was disappointed. Then I thought of my deteriorating health and decided that there was no number I could put on feeling better. He then discussed different payment plans and options that could lessen the blow of the payments. After my first visit I saw him again for a 2hr comprehensive appointment that involved many different holistic tests. At the end of the appointment we sat together in his office and discussed a plan of action to help my symptoms decrease and to get my body to start functioning properly. This included a strict diet change and supplementation using his special formulated enzymes. All of his suggestions made perfect sense to me and were not out of my reach to accomplish. Within 2 weeks I had already seen a change in my mood swings and my digestive system had begun to calm down. By 1 month I was a completely new person and by 3 months my UC complications had calmed down almost completely. The enzymes were helping my body receive the nutrients it needed in order to heal itself which it could not do on its own. I continued to see him over the course of the year. After that time I would see him as maintenance or as needed. There were a few instances that I needed to see him more and he helped me during all those difficult times. For the high cost of the first month of visits I expected more. When told I would spend 2 hours at initial visit and an hour for the next ones, I incorrectly assumed that meant spending time with Dr Pollack getting to the bottom of my issues. Unfortunately the time I spent with him was about 10 minutes . The rest was on crystal heat mat and detox foot bath( over 20 minutes for that) He didn't bother to look at my supplement list he asked me to bring along on my second visit. He asked me if I felt any of them were helping. When I told him I didn't' see a clear connection except for the B-complex he told me to not bother taking them. Fast forward a bit after taking his supplements and I am having negative reactions..now I am supposed to 'give them a chance'. Well, I did and it took me weeks to get myself back to a better place. Two out of the 5 chiropractic adjustments were terrible. He would not give me 3 seconds to take a slow breath before his adjustment. It is what I need to do so that my body is not too tense to accept the adjustment. His sarcastic remark was that 'all you self employed people are stubborn'. Dr. David Pollack is without hesitation one of the best medical doctors I have ever seen. His demeanor and bedside manner are calm, confident, positive, attentive and thorough. He is an excellent doctor who runs an incredibly effective practice. Wait time has never been an issue. This month marks my one-year anniversary as a patient at Dr. Pollack's Wellness Institute. My medical case is incredibly unique and complicated. I suffer from a traumatic brain injury, a spinal cord injury and neuropathy. My biggest struggle is chronic pain primarily the result of a titanium plate that covers the back of my skull and constantly pulsates with heat and pain. The plate is the result of a broken neck, which was literally rebuilt with hardware. I suffer from neurological losses one of which is a "drop foot". During my first visit with Dr. Pollack he spent a great deal of time learning about my complicated medical history. His physical evaluation was incredibly thorough. I must say that I was skeptical whether Dr. Pollack would be able to help me and alleviate any pain. I am pleased to say that I was wrong. Over the past year he has been conscientious and persistent in his personalized approach toward alleviating my pain. As part of my initial evaluation he introduced me to enzyme replacement nutrition to help optimize my digestion as well as address the inflammation in my body. This was my first time at a natural/holistic doctor. It was $99 for the first two visits. During the first visit, Dr. Pollack ran some machine up and down my spine, which somehow measured heat/electricity from those parts and showed how off certain parts of my body were. Well, although I was a relatively healthy 30 year old, I was 3 standard deviations from normal on several things-- what's the probability of that?? He also did a test where he pushed on different parts of my body to see the reaction. I was happy that the "tests" were non-invasive and not uncomfortable. We also spoke a bit and he took notes. At the end of the first visit, worried about what appeared to be extreme results, I asked if there was anything I could do between then and my follow up. He said, "oh no, there's nothing you can do about this." When I came back in 2 weeks, it was clear he had not done anything extra with my results, and I don't know why we couldn't have just spoken during the first meeting. His first recommendation was for more extensive testing with him, for like half a day, which would cost over $2000. His second suggestion, if I didn't want to do that, was to buy some enzymes that he sold and take those for a month, then come back for a follow up. (I wondered, why didn't he tell me this the first time, instead of telling me there was nothing I could do?) When I asked for more information on enzyme therapy, since this was new to me-- like a book or something I could read about it-- he appeared offended, stating that I was trying to reduce years of medical school into a book. (By the way, he did recommend a couple of books-- when I read them, they were highly unscientific.) He asked me if I was going to take the enzymes or not, and when I said I had to think about it, our visit quickly ended without even a handshake. Perhaps he has helped others, but I think that the original test was meant to induce fear, and I always have to worry about a doctor who sells his own supplements. If you have a lot of money then maybe this doctor is for you. the initial $40 consultation got you into the office and a meeting with Dr.Pollack. After a conversation with him that lasted about 45 minutes, I was told how much it would cost me. I hope you are sitting down..$1400.00 dollars initially for a few treatments and supplements. That included some type of test that you drank something and he used his magic fingers to tell you what is wrong. He then said that after that, a maintence type program would run about $300 dollars a month for the next six months. YIKES . He sounds very educated and probably could help. However there are alot of other chiropractors and holistic doctors that are out there that WANT to help you and don' feel the need to charge so much.You just need to look a little further. Maybe he charges that because he told me his accountant told him to make more money because by the time his baby goes to college, it will cost a lot. Good Luck. Do your research.
