FIVE STARS. FIVE FLAMES. FIVE REASONS TO CANCEL YOUR BORING LIFE…read more Let's be clear. Pompano Beach is known for sunshine, ocean breeze, retirees on bicycles... and now apparently, a full-blown cathedral of fire and skill hiding in plain sight. The Guild is not a "cute workshop." It's not Pinterest. It's not "sip and glue." It's heat. Steel. Sparks. Sweat. Focus. This Valentine's Day, I didn't take Julia to dinner. I didn't buy flowers that would wilt faster than a South Florida ice cube. I brought her here. Six hours. Not a tourist demo. Not a 90-minute novelty class. Six hours in front of a forge forging a heart-shaped candle holder with our own hands. Hammer by hammer. Reheat. Adjust. Strike. Repeat. Learning that steel has rules--and if you ignore them, it punishes you. And here's what makes The Guild different: They don't just teach blacksmithing. They teach skills. Real skills. The kind that make your brain fire differently. The kind that remind you you're capable of more than scrolling and complaining about traffic. Under master instruction from real working craftsmen--not influencers, not hobbyists, not YouTube theorists--you feel the weight of competence in the room. Calm. Precise. Zero fluff. This place teaches: * Blacksmithing * Metalwork * Practical craftsmanship * Discipline * Patience * Teamwork * How not to panic when something is literally glowing red In a world built on disposable nonsense, The Guild builds permanence. You leave tired in the best way. You leave with calluses. You leave with something you made that will outlive your streaming subscriptions. And here's the wild part: You find your tribe. The slightly unhinged, joy-filled, skill-hungry humans who think "let's hit hot steel with hammers" is a perfect date night. Five stars isn't enough. This is five roaring forges and a standing ovation. If you're in South Florida and you want more than beaches and brunch-- If you want to actually learn something-- If you want a date night that doesn't involve a waiter explaining foam-- Go to The Guild. Hit the steel. And remember you're not fragile.

Marcello was a great instructor! Animated, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable about surfing…read more He had lots of stories and experiences to share-- I think hearing all the negatives helped normalize the challenges so when/if things happened we weren't panicked but could be more relaxed. He was very patient and prepared us well with what to expect and educated us on the foundations of surfing. Marcello and his son were really good about teaching the basics and helping in the water to get acclimated and coaching us on timing. We thankfully had perfect weather for learning-- this was the first time ever surfing for all of us but everyone in the group managed to be able to get up on the board to catch some waves! Would definitely recommend!

Our boys are 6 and 9 and Marcel and Victor were both GREAT with both kids and adults (the kids are the faster learners!) Marcel gave great explanations and then took us out (one at a time at first) on the waves and provided all the instruction we needed... all 4 of us had multiple successful rides before our lesson was through! We would definitely book with them again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique vacation experience!

I don't need to know that the first DA's were referred to as "Ladies in Waiting." Show me how to assist the dentists!! They prepared me for nothing. Coach V was a nightmare! Unapproachable, cruel, self entitled, manipulative, unsupportive and homophobic (I'm gay). She singled me out, other class mates agreed, and I dreaded every session. My best friend as well. She also convinced the owner that I was inadequate and that added to make it more hell. I passed my exams, top of the class, but V easily convinced them I had no skills. They made me feel dumb. Owner NEVER helped me or even sat down to ask me about it. She didn't offer me additional training based on V's lies, even though I paid +4K - instead instantly believed V without question. I left with no confidence, thanks to AAA and coach V. They had a very negative impact on my EFDA career. THANKFULLY I had a lead who retrained and got me on a path for success. My lead also went to AAA and completely understood my problems based on her own experience. Big part of why she took me under her wing. Please seek alternate schools.PLEASE! It will DEFINITELY benefit in long run. There are other schools that do 90 day training, much better, more affordable. Respond on this post and I'll send you those details.

There's no rooms for privacy to discuss anything. Everyone can hear your conversation. I felt akward and very claustrophobic. The place inside is very small for it to be a school. The young girl talking to me was giving me a strange look & asking too many personal questions. No snack or beverage vending machines for students, and only one bathroom right by the break room which was tiny enough to fit two people the most. Just no...not for me. Was not feeling this place at all. Did not like it.
