Came in for gel removal and gel manicure! I was thinking throughout it that it felt very thorough and was coming out nicely. Hence 4 stars! Took one star off for pricing. On the website it said $35 for this but at the end they tried to charge me $50. I pointed out that it said $35 and she lowered it to $45 saying I got extras, but I never agreed to anything additional. Felt really awkward and uncomfortable and didn't want to haggle so I paid, but then didn't have enough money left to tip the woman. She did a great job though. The atmosphere is very clean and nice. Feels very relaxing! Overall, I recommend! Just check the pricing ;) read more

This is such a great nail place in Tampa! All the girls are so sweet and accommodating. The owner is especially welcoming and you can tell she really cares about her customers. It's never too busy and can easily walk in anytime. It's very quiet and calming and my manicures and pedicures always turn out perfect! read more

I was charged $90 for a new acrylic set. I would understand if this was a meticulous work of art and the price was up front but the website says $45+ when I asked why $90 she said $20 for gel color on top of the acrylic. If you add those together $45+$20 = $65 still does not justify the absurd charge of $90. I've been there at least 8 times and maybe they forgot that I know prices. The switch up of price was just so ridiculous at checkout I'll never be back. Dishonesty isn't a good trait for a business to have. The nails I would rate as a 5/10. Not even near a good job for $90. read more

The staff was pleasant upon arrival. However this is not a place I would return to. The pedicure was mediocre. I feel like everything that is included in a regular pedicure was not included in this one and only in the deluxe which was disappointing. My friend got a deluxe and honestly I didn't miss out on much and ended up paying $25 less than she did. The only reason we went here was because we were in the area and it had been a place that was recommended to my friend. It's a nice area, clean and all but the service doesn't add up to the prices that are listed on their pamphlet. Hope this changes otherwise this new spot won't last very long. read more

Well, what a difference a year makes with a business. This is the most poorly run nail salon I've seen. The staff is rude (the few good techs have left) and the work is shoddy. Don't even get me started on the drama that plays out in front of the customers. One tech yelled at another one for "taking her turn" and decided to take a photo of the situation (without asking the client's permission). I can only assume it was to complain to the manager/owner, but that was super unprofessional. The owner blew it off when the client asked if someone took a picture of her like it was normal! I walked in after neck surgery for a pedicure months ago with a collar on, and the group of techs sitting on the front couch started laughing at me in the collar. One asked what the collar was! Ummm, maybe look it up or ask nicely before laughing at someone??!! I just wanted a nice pedicure while I was healing. Oh, and the most recent visit, someone came in demanding their last paycheck or they were calling the cops/DOL. Seriously? It's honestly just one bad experience after another over there. I'm done. Found a new place and much happier without the drama and stress at this one. read more

I have NEVER had a manicure with polish that lasted this long! Despite getting my nails done with shellac/gel, I almost always manage to mess them up the day I get them and if that doesn't happen, they start to peel/chip on day 2. It has been 2 weeks and they are just now chipping a bit on the tips. If they were a 30 minute (or less) drive, I would go there every time. Unfortunately, it would be a 3 hour flight for me read more

I got in pretty easily using their on line registration. I received a text of confirmation for the two appoints I set with the person I would be seeing. Unfortunately my morning appt was cancelled at the last minute for one of the two services. It was not very busy, clean and Not rushed. I really don't feel important when they have no idea what service I booked or use my name. The technician did a great job even though she is very new (overheard this). Again not rushed- $35 included pedicure, short scrub/massage, lotion and hot towels along with regular polish. Massage chair. read more

I would not come here if you want a design recreated or anything besides MAYBE a simple french tip. Even that is wonky though. From the shape to the design to the price, I am definitely not happy with these nails and they look nothing like the picture I provided. This was not worth the $80 I spent here. Only good side was the atmosphere was nice and my nail tech was kind. read more

I called the salon yesterday morning and the receptionist answered - I explained to her that I was charged differently from the other people in my group and explained that I looked at the online pricing before hand and my groups pricing matched up but I was overcharged she told me she wasn't sure what the prices online were but that getting a traditional French gel mani was $65 and my traditional pedi was $25. I told her it still didn't make any sense for it to be $65 for my mani. She told me she'd have the owner call to speak to me and I never heard anything back. Won't ever come back to this salon or recommend it to anyone. read more

LOVED this place! It's so cute! After an appointment debacle at a local salon our group of 3 was left with a treat-yo-self day without anywhere to go. The atmosphere is beautiful however the staff didn't seem friendly to one another. Upon entering I was greeted and shown polish colors but didn't get a color wheel with more colors until I asked. I enjoyed my pedicure however I had an appointment for acrylic with gel and after 4 days I have bubbling on the nails and some of them aren't smoothed. One of my nails looks like it didn't even get a second top coat. She drilled and made 5 of my nails bleed. Beautiful spa but not good service. read more

I was pleasantly surprised. Placed has been opened for only 6 months. Lovely modern inside design with lots of plants. I was greeted by a very polite Louis. He was very calm which made me more relaxed. He did my pedicure and it was perfect. I believe I found MY place finally! It has been tough to find a good nail salon with great customer service. You can make an appointment or walk-in. I'll be back for sure. read more

I was set to become a regular. I just moved to the area and had been getting gel nails for the past year and half at a salon in the state that I moved from. My nails were really strong and the gel polish lasted between 2 and 4 weeks. I had been to Polis'd nail bar three or four times. But I realized that my (finger) nails were become softer. I thought about the technique the technician was using to prepare my nails for the gel manicure. Outside of the polish removal and buffing to clean the nail of the remnants of the gel, this technician would take to using a file on the surface of my nail every time filing furiously as if my nail were not attached to a living person. Now we know that a slightly roughened surface is necessary for the gel to adhere to the nail but I realized this person was going way beyond. She would even use the rough Emory board/file on the side of my fingers around the nail bed until I had to stop her to remind her that that was flesh and it hurt. The last time I went to the salon, I asked the technician to vary up her process and not to file my nail the way that she did as my nails were becoming soft, a problem I've never really had in my entire life. She argued with me and pretty much disregarded my concern telling me that everybody that she has seen get gel manicures eventually sees a softening of their nails. Well, from past experience in other places and getting gel nails regularly that has never happened to me and I would always get complements on how strong my nails were (from the nail technicians themselves...). Because the technician ignored my request and argued with me, I decided I was not going back. I'll either go somewhere else or do my nails myself than give my business to Polish'd Nail Bar. So, I'm in the process of growing out the damaged over-filed portion of my nails. They're stained from the polish and it seeping through my thinned out nails and I can see the indentation between the over-filed section and my healthy nail that has been growing subsequent to the last manicure. I also felt no warmth from the staff generally except for the young European girl who does nails and one of the managers or owners (IDK) who is not there all the time. Was almost a loyal customer but never going back. Do not argue with your clients. Listen to what they saying and have a conversation. Do your best to accommodate a request - my nails, my money I'm spending in your establishment ... read more

Review update: changing my star rating because my gel nails peeled off after 4 days. Super disappointed as this place is not cheap. Love this place! I tried out some other places while quarantining in Tampa and this has by far been my favorite. The foot massage was the longest massage I've ever gotten, they completely made my skin look brand new. The salon was cute and honestly probably the only positive thing I can say about my experience. I had an appointment but waited with my feet in cold water for 30 minutes until someone came over to give me a pedicure. During the pedicure, the employee stopped working on me to wax someone who walked in without an appt. The pedicure took an hour and a half from when I sat in the chair until I left the chair. Additionally asked for a regular pedicure and added the callus removal for $10 and was charged $65 for the pedicure in total. Moving on to my nails which was a complete nightmare. Two employees were arguing and yelling at each other because they both wanted to do my dip manicure. One of the employees stopped working on another guest in the middle of her pedicure and started doing my nails. The other guest was upset. This was embarrassing and uncomfortable. The second employee then started doing my dip. The execution was terrible. Legitimately my nails have never looked so bad. They were bumpy and uneven. My total was $125 BEFORE tip. This place was terrible I wouldn't recommend to anyone. 2 stars is honestly generous. read more

My first time here I had gotten amazing results. The place was clean, beautiful, and the nail tech was great. She did 5 separate colors for me and was patient and kind. I wanted to come back but unfortunately it was a 30 minute drive from me. My second time, I was around the area, so I decided to get my nails done with them again as I had a wonderful first experience. I did not receive the results I wanted. I paid for the nails and gave great tip nonetheless. However, I don't plan on coming back as the work is not consistent by all nail techs. read more

Beautiful and relaxing aesthetics in this salon! I've been here twice and both times the experience has been great. I've only gotten the Deluxe Spa Pedicure, but it's amazing! You'll leave with your feet looking and feeling SO soft. My only complaint is it is very pricey. I was annoyed this last time because they charged me an additional $10 to scrub my heels. I was already paying for an upgraded pedicure (Deluxe) and yet they wanted to charge me even more to do my heels? They didn't even use a grader on my feet...they literally used a pumice stone (which is better for your feet) but that should not be an additional cost. I have never had a pedicure that doesn't include a foot scrub...let alone a "deluxe" package. Aside from that, it's a wonderful nail salon! read more

I went in for a pedicure.. it felt like it was pretty quick. I didn't feel like she spent much time to optimize the relaxing experience. For instance, the foot rub or leg massage felt super quick and rushed. I was upset but didn't want to be confrontational and just let it be.. but when I went home I looked at this is how it looked after my pedicure. Now I wished I would have looked there and spoke up. I'm not from this area, but I had to schedule 4 manicures for a wedding party I was in. I received a Gel Manicure and I cannot recommend this salon enough. The attention and quality of work was exceptional. I made an appointment ahead of time, but had someone extra join me at the last minute. Even though they had just opened and were already busy, they quickly made it possible for the extra person I was with to receive a pedicure. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR EYEBROW WAXING. So I went on yelp to look at good eyebrow waxing places nearby, and this was one of the top places so I made an appointment. I showed up earlier than expected but they still were able to fit me in, however, my experience was awful. My eyebrow tech managed to rip all the skin from my under brow and botch my brow shape. Afterwards when she saw the red she proceeded to put wax remover on it saying it will help. I told her I have used GiGi's wax kit before and thats not the proper use for it. She really had no idea what she was doing. Just a warning, do not go here if you want nice brows. read more

Really bad experience all around. Was going to be in the Hyde Park area so decided to try this place instead of my usual place for my birthday pedi with a girlfriend. I called a week ahead to make the appointment for Sunday. I asked for a 3pm appointment, but was told they had a big party coming in at 3:30, so they couldn't do then, but could do 230pm. I was very clear about which pedicure I wanted and that it would be for me and my friend together. We arrived, and every technician was busy, not even close to being done. We waited 15 minutes without anyone checking with us, so finally I spoke to someone and there was quite a commotion with someone I believe to be possibly the owner. I didn't quite understand what she was saying but she was spouting out directions to a few of the women, and about 10 minutes later she had 2 technicians come over to take care of us. My friend had a great technician, mine was meh. Weak hands, fast massage, etc. Her polishing technique was fine. It's important to point out that party of 4 did come in at 3pm, waited 10 minutes without being helped, so they ended up leaving. Prior to that we saw two other people come in with appointments and leave. Clearly this place does not know how to take appointments and actually staff appropriately to keep the appointments. But the kicker was when at the end they rang me up and charged an extra $10 because they had to scrape my heels. I've been getting pedicures for probably 30 years, and I've never had anyone charge extra to take care of your heels. So my total for waiting all that time and getting a mediocre pedicure: $60. Plus tip. Never again, Polish'd Nail Bar. Never again. read more

Best pedicure I have probably ever had. The salon is clean and the decor is beautiful. I was relaxed as soon as I came in the door, they definitely put effort in to make it feel like a spa. I asked for tea and it came out in a cute teapot with a teacup so I was already sold at that point. My pedicure was not rushed, it was just everything you want your pedicure to be. Super happy that I found this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Completely worth the trip from Clearwater! My only regret is that I did not have my friends along to enjoy it with. Absolutely love it here! read more

Day three following the wax I woke up to severe marks with severe pain. Researching it myself it seemed to be a burn. At this point I was not upset with Amber or the company, things happen and I was very understanding. I simply want to make sure I was not going to scar and was also wanting advice on how to treat it because I was in pain. I called the store with the intentions of asking the professional for advice and guidance on how to handle this. I am not an aesthetician and have zero knowledge on this process. First the receptionist, was kind letting me know Amber had left for the day but she will call me first thing in the morning. I was shocked when the receptionist told me to "treat it like any other burn" feeling as if she blew me off and did not show any compassion I told her I was upset with how she spoke to me. She quickly apologized saying she was not educated on this and that she did not mean to come across that way. The next day I got a call from Amber, she immediately was defensive telling me that "my wax was not even hot that day" and "this has never happened to me, so I'm don't know how this happened" I told her I was simply looking for guidance because this was very painful and I was concerned about scaring. Amber responded with "I guess put neosporin on it and avoid tight clothing." She not one time asked to see photos or even to see me. I then began to get emotional, and told her I was very disappointed because all I wanted was her help through this. She responded with "I told you to put neosporin on it, I'm not sure what else you want me to say" I let her know as the professional I wish she could assist me in helping the injury she caused me. I paid for a service and got hurt, I think any company or licensed professional would show compassion and want to help the client they injured. I was very upset so I said ok thank you and ended the call. Still in pain and visually very unhappy with how my body looked I contacted another licensed aesthetician, simply for advice. The first thing this professional asked me was to see a picture so she could help figure out what was going on. She then informed me it does not look like a burn but instead something called "lifting" as well as bad bruising. She talked me through how this can happen to someone and let me know how to treat it and that it should only go on for another 6 days or so. I am so disappointed in "Brazilian beekini wax" as a company. I am not upset about the injury because things happen, but I am upset with how I was spoken too and how there was zero compassion and zero care for my body or safety. Instead they gaslit me making me feel stupid and as if it was my fault that my skin reacted this way. I never once asked for a refund, I was even going to return I simply was looking for help and care from the person responsible and the licensed professional that I trusted with my body. I tried to reach out to owner/manager privately and not run to help, however I have been ignored. I truly hope they don't make anyone else feel this way. These are photos of my body 3 days after the wax. It is currently 7 days and the redness is down but skin is peeling and severe itch. I'm hoping there is now scaring, and I'm left very disappointed and let down.
