OK. Where do I begin? This is going to be long so make sure you have enough time to read it. I am extremely meticulous and hard to please (I'm a Virgo). I've been told by family and friends that I am extremely difficult to get along with and please so and I love that about myself...therefore I think my critique is extremely reliable. Whoever strategically planned this spa must be my mental twin! From the decor to the carefully detailed scents in each room every detail in this spa is aimed at . making you feel Zen and relaxed. The lighting is perfect, the locker room with your own personal key is a very good touch so you don't have to worry if someone is going to mess with your things while you are serviced. You know how they say you can judged a business by their bathroom well the bathroom is perfect. This spa definitely remains committed to all things holistic. I'm from NY and I have been spa hopping for about a decade in search of the perfect spa and this is the answer to my prayers!!! (even though I am not religious). This is one of the BEST SPAs in my opininon (in my top 2). I prefer the chemical/technology approach to esthetics but all Eydita (hope I spelled her name right) used was her hands and natural stuff and my skin glowed and felt declogged INSTANTLY. She is not lazy she gives you your money's worth. Although I used a Yelp voucher I will definitely pay full price in the future without minding at all. (On to a more sensitive and controversial subject) Im black and often when I go to SPAs I get unpleasant treatment , awkward stares and feel very unwelcomed by the white staff and clients. I'M SICK OF IT! When I would mention it to friends, family and acquaintances they would I say I'm making it up, I'm too sensitive or It's all in my head. But going to Sundara confirmed that I was right!!! Although the staff there is white I did not feel uncomfortable as did in other places in NY and Florida.The staff that I met today were all caucasian including Edyita but unlike in the past with other whites I felt welcomed, they were professional beyond belief and most important of all I felt like they really felt concerned about my beauty needs. I also felt like their professionalism was authentic and not just a front to get my money. I'm not saying Edyita ran up to me with a smile and was hopping around like a bunny but she was so real and honest and skilled. I felt like she magically understood all my concerns and treated them accordingly. I felt like all my stress was gone after my treatment and I didn't feel like there was something missing after it. No one put me up to writing this if thats what you're thinking although in the locker room to they do welcome you to write reviews or make suggestions if you wish. But trust me you will want to write a good review after you leave. Every business should adopt their model...this place is like an oasis in the desert. I am in Tampa, taking the Florida bar and have certainly been experiencing stress and tension. Between working, the stress of studying and the travel from New York, it has been very hectic, however Spa Sundara was my haven. My masseuse was incredible. I was greeted and shown to a changing and locker room where I put on a plush robe and slippers. I was then asked to go the very relaxing tea lounge,which had comfy seating and fresh hot tea, water and healthy snacks. I filled out a questionnaire and then my massage therapist joined me to discuss my needs and problems I was having along with what I was looking for in a massage. She was very friendly and accommodating. I was then asked to a quite room with relaxing music and laid on a soft massage table after disrobing. She then came in and began her massage using various oils. The room was dark and relaxing with waterfalls and music and an amazing atmosphere just like the rest of the spa. my tension melted away after the 1 hour Swedish massage and half hour foot massage. This spa actually offers 20 minutes of complimentary foot rubs with every massage, but I paid a bit extra to get the full half hour. The 1.5 hours came out to $75 dollars... an amazing deal. After the massage was over I felt relaxed and comfortable. My masseuse then left the room told me to take my time and get dressed and meet her in the tea lounge. She asked me if I preferred tea or water, I said tea. When I got to the tea lounge she asked me about my experience which I informed her was wonderful. She then told me to enjoy my tea, and relax and take my time and then see the hostess for payment. All in all the experience was amazing. They don't rush you, they are not another money factory, they really care about wellness and the customer and provide a comfortable and relaxing environment as well as an amazing massage. I had my first experience at Spa Sundara yesterday. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately impressed by the calm, soothing atmosphere and was warmly welcomed in by the staff. Caroline, the massage therapist I had an appointment with, led me into a back room where she had me change into a plush terrycloth robe and slippers and then into a sauna room where I stayed for 10 minutes or so as a warm up. Afterward, I was led into another room, had all the different types of services explained to me in detail and selected an antioxidant/exfoliating coffee bean body wrap for myself. The smell of this wrap was amazing and it left my skin feeling super smooth and moisturized. After Caroline applied the wrap and had me all bundled up, she cranked up the heat on the massage chair and put two warm, damp towels over my feet and began massaging my neck and scalp, followed by a foot massage. I was then led into another back room with a nice shower to rinse off (the towels they have for you to dry off are sooo soft too). After my shower, I went back to the room where I had my wrap and received the most amazing hour long, full body massage I've ever had. I almost fell asleep a couple of times! ANYWAY, words can't describe how much I was impressed by this place. I've already recommended several of my friends and family to come and I'm planning on coming back in with my cousin in the next couple weeks! Do yourself a favor and come by to unwind. Spa Sundara is the REAL deal!!! As a resident of NYC, I have enjoyed my fair share of luxury spas, and was utterly impressed with all aspects of my experience at Spa Sundara! All of my senses were touched the moment I stepped into this relaxing sanctuary. I was transported to a far away exotic land....the lulling music, the delicious scent emanating from the candles, and soft light radiating from the chandeliers above. I was immediately embraced in a world of relaxation, and all of my stress and negative energy instantly slipped away. And, most importantly, my facial was truly the BEST treatment I have ever received! My skin was glowing, and the organic products used are amazing. Every single detail has been considered! I have never written a review before, but this spa and the owner, Edyta, deserve an applause for creating a respite for those that need to escape their stressful lives, and be healed by her magic touch. I had my second session at Spa Sudeva over this past weekend. Just like the first time, I was fully satisfied with my experience. The front of the house staff is always very friendly, and their scheduling system is contemporary and efficient - email confirmations of appointments and any transactions made. My therapists have included Jessica for a Zen Fusion massage, and Roxanne for an aromatherapy massage. Both ladies were very professional, friendly and excellent at their crafts. I am working my way down the list of services they offer, and will be receiving the sole rejuvenating foot massage next with a third therapist. The spa itself is very cleanly and private. You are instantly enveloped by the calming atmosphere, and forget the busy street just outside. The tea lounge is an amazing space to relax before or after your session. I highly recommend this spa, and will keep coming back-whether it is to try a new service or to repeat a great experience of one already had. read more

My first visit was more than wonderful! My therapist was Sophie. She was very knowledgeable of anatomy, found ALL of my stress points including the ones I didnt even know we're there! I have degenerative disc disease and several none spurs and herniated discs. I also live a very stressful life with a lot of financial worries. She had exactly the strength I needed and changed it accordingly friending on my pain level and level of muscle tightness. The entire staff was friendly and courteous. I will MOST DEFINITELY be back and will highly recommend to everyone I know! The ambiance and decor were perfect, and it smelled beautiful with relaxing aromas created with essential oils and natural fragrances given off by candles. The lighting was low, the walls were properly insulated so as to not be distracted by others receiving treatments. Lovely experience. Spa Sundara is a slice of heaven. It was by chance that I found Edyta again after years of my eyebrows looking imperfect. I have to say, this spa has the most amazing atmosphere, amazing and accepting people and services that are an absolute must. We often forget, that in this crazy rat race of a pace we tend to get caught up in, that we need to take a moment, and remember what relaxing, rejuvenating and re-energizing is. This place brings you back to center, it certainly did me. I will be a regular for all services. Can't tell you how many compliments I received after a facial...and what healing hands Caroline the massage therapist has. The entire experience from start to finish is an absolutely wonderful experience, from the decor, aromas, and atmosphere to the amenities provided i.e. comfy robes and the relaxing room with all the teas. I've been twice and it's felt like I've had the entire place to myself. As soon as I step in the energy of the entire place is truly healing and relaxing..The massage itself was great! The table was always warm and comfy and all the other little things used, I think there was like a weighted heating pad or something used on my back and stomach, not every place adds those little things to massages and it makes the experience so much more relaxing and comforting! I highly recommend this spa! I wont be going anywhere else from now on! read more
