I've been a member at Massage Studio for a couple of years now. In that time, I've seen two of my favorite therapists leave (once I find one I like, I generally stick to that person), but then the next person I try ends up being great too, so I then stick with her -- which just shows that they have talented therapists in general. I don't think you can go wrong with anyone here. For the longest time, I'd been getting deep tissue massages with Savannah (who is no longer there), and she knew exactly the spots to focus on. But since I'm now pregnant, that means I have to stick to prenatal massages for now. I'd never gotten a prenatal massage, and from what I read online, I'd have to be on my sides the whole time. So it was a pleasant surprise to see they have a GIANT pillow with a cutout for your belly on the table, allowing you to stay face down if you want. They gave me the option of using that pillow or going on my side, but I absolutely wanted the pillow instead. It ended up being a very relaxing massage, which was so needed since my sciatic nerve has been acting up lately. I love that you can do all of your appointments online, since I'm pretty terrible about calling. And because I'm pregnant, I've decided to treat myself a bit more and scheduled massages every two weeks for the next few months (I have a lot of credits in my account since I'll go months without booking anything) :) read more

I received a gift certificate for a prenatal massage at Massage Studio two years ago. I was looking forward to using it, but I kept getting sick and then Covid hit so I never had the chance to get a prenatal massage before I delivered my baby. Luckily the gift certificate did not have an expiration date so I finally found time to use it over a year and a half later (moms don't get breaks!). Since I was no longer pregnant I decided to get a 90 minute deep tissue massage. My massage with Luna was amazing! For 90 minutes I didn't have a care in the world and enjoyed having all of my aches and pains melt away. I made sure to drink water the rest of the day, but I could barely walk the next morning so I probably would ask for a little less pressure next time. I really like how you can book the massage online so I could easily select a time and date that worked with my schedule. It's necessary to secure the appointment with a credit card, but I was able to use the gift certificate upon payment. As a first time visitor I was able to receive the members special price. I received another gift certificate for a massage this past Christmas so I will be returning to Massage Studio soon! read more

I am usually not one for massages, but was having some lower back discomfort. I scheduled a Swedish massage with Amanda and she was wonderful! She addressed all of my lower back concerns and asked me throughout if the pressure was comfortable. I also appreciated that I was asked a scent preference, which is almost always lavender for me. They also offer Biofreeze and CBD oil if it's something you want incorporated into your massage. I'll also mention that on Mondays, they offer discounted Swedish and Deep Tissue massages to active duty military and their spouses! Massage is one of those luxuries that i would not want to live without as its well worth the cost for its health benefits as well as it feels good. I have severe scoliosis so getting a semi-regular massage helps with the tension and pain in my back. I first got introduced to Massage Studio when i won a gift certificate from my work. Honestly i havent been able to stop going since. I was also very impressed with the facility itself. It is very zen and smells wonderful inside, like essential oils or something like that so u can relax while waiting for your therapist. The rooms are dark, cozy, and very soothing. The offer choices in music and scents to help enhance the experience and they have table warmers to make you more comfortable. The girl i go to is wonderful and she is very good at targeting all the spots where I have pain. The rest of the staff is pleasant, professional, and easy to get a hold of when i have an issue. What's nice is that they offer a 30 min upgrade for your birthday, so its definitely worthwhile to explore this place. read more

This is a great studio! I have been trying various places around Tampa that offer massages and this ranks as one of the top. the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The studio is in a central location and very warm and welcoming when you walk on. My only con while waiting for the massage is I wish they had a separate 'relaxation' room to wait and not just the main entrance waiting room. The beds are very comfy and the rooms extremely quiet. My favorite is the intake form where you can be as specific as you like about your experience: music (jazz, classical, vocal, etc), bed warmth, massage oil vs cream, firmness, etc. My only critique (and why I did not give 5 stars) is my specific massage therapist today was just okay. I opted for the Traditional massage, with a focus on the neck area. The full body was great and perfect firmness as requested, but she/he nearly omitted any neck massage and the upper body massage was subpar. I will definitely return, but with a different therapist request. read more

I can't say enough about Massage Studio. I have been a member for over a year and it has been worth every penny. Every visit I have had here has been five stars from start to finish. It is also conveniently located close to where I live, so that makes it perfect in my eyes. Lauren and the front desk staff are always so friendly and welcoming. They take every precaution to make sure all their guests are COVID safe, from taking your temperature right as you walk in to assuring that everyone has a mask on in all common areas. Kristen is a godsend and I swear she has "magic hands." I look forward to my monthly visits to see her. She has helped with my problem areas tremendously. I went for a couples message for my anniversary. I could say that everything about rhis place was calming. When you walk in the door, the staff talk with a calming voice. The offered me lemon walker. I did have to fill out paperwork about my medical history but that standard for any medical office. They ask for personalized questions for the message. When you are called back. Two staff members come and take you back. We both had individual entrances. My masseuse explained in detail everything. We botb we in the same room but it felt personalized. I had different music and aroma therapy. The message was great! I got a relaxation message. The pressure is based on your preference. It was about one hour long and i felt that was enough. The covered all the areas. I think next time i am going to get a deep tissue. The do charge more for that. The end of the message. We had wet cloths and water waiting for us. The oil was not too oily and i was able to wipe most of it off. I am definitely coming back. read more

Rookies! ‍ I just signed up for their membership. I tried it 4 times to give it a fair chance and now I have to cancel after a few weeks. This place is more of a starter job or retirement/part time place for massage therapists. They don't have that many of therapists in general and availability is a major issue even if your schedule is wide open. The place is clean and plenty of parking. Their service desks girls are really friendly and great, so is their whole staff. The prices are great too, but you get what you pay for. For people who don't regularly get massages they may not know the difference between a good massage or a mediocre/bad one. I highly recommend Spa Jardin instead and use Kerry. She's hard to get in with but worth the wait. read more

After being a long-time member, I unfortunately have had two very disappointing experiences related to billing during the pandemic (I called early on but kept getting charged, and when I called again to ask about this, I was told "You didn't call--I would have remembered your voice") and to exploring options as we come out of the pandemic (I simply asked if massage therapists were required to be vaccinated or if I could request one who was, and I basically got laughed at and told that would be a HIPAA violation, which it wouldn't--many companies are handling COVID in this way, including Delta). It's really stressful customer service for a place that's supposed to reduce stress, unfortunately. read more

I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage done here. I don't remember my masseuses name but she was a hoot, we even bonded over Disney! This was my first time visiting here and it was very professional from start to finish. My favorite thing was I filled out this form about myself that feel my masseuse actually read. She has some questions for me and I really felt it was catered to me and what I needed. During the massage (I tend to be chatty and so was she) there was open communication and she even gave me a few tools for stretches and exercises I could do to help with my discomfort. This was a joy. Unfortunately this visit took place in preparation for my move/drive across the country, but this was one of the best massages and best massage experiences I'd ever had.
