I see all the high reviewers here and I m wondering, is it my bad luck or what! I get massages on weekly basis, couple of weeks ago my Masseuse was out of town so I decided to call massage studio. I know one of their former employees and she was spectacular "Agnus". I could easily say that the massage I received was one of the worse I ever had, I was not given the option to select my oil and music, it was suppose to be deep tissue and it felt like someone was simply rubbing lotion on my body! 5 mins into the massage I asked her to simply switch to the signature massage, why pay $30 more for crap, it was enough wasting an hour of my weekend. Her phone was on vibrate, which vibrates every time she got a message! Very disappointing.. read more

This place is AMAZING!! If you are looking for an upscale establishment with pricing that doesn't break your wallet, Massage Studio is where to go. Got treated like VIP from beginning to end. This spa is amazing. My experience was flawless from beginning to end. I was offered a different selection of music, hot towels, aromatherapy, all included with the service. Cody at Massage Studio in Tampa was very professional and well trained in understanding how the body works. There is a lot of training that goes into understanding where aches and pains come from and how to relieve those aches. Nice vibes w/ experienced massage therapists. I like that their client form asks you how much pressure you want and has "Extra Firm" as an option. I'm surprised more massage places not only ask you where you feel pain but also what level of pressure you want. Their form gives you several tiers to choose from What also caught my attention was the scented headrest. I'm wondering if it was just my room but it smelled like they sprayed lavender on it. I'm not complaining, it was nice, I was just surprised by that level of detail. Tammy, my therapist, was great. Whoa! She really got into it. I was clinching my teeth a couple times when she was working my neck but that's what I wanted. You gotta really get in there to soften the fascia. Great technique and she knew where the spots were. I get massages on a regular basis so I can tell when I'm dealing with pros, intermediates or novices and she was a pro. I walked in with an aching back and neck and walked about feeling great. They didn't give me the check in upgrade but made up for it by giving me the introductory price so all is well. The only negative is the parking situation. It's bad and I had to park on the street two blocks over by the stream/creek. Other than that I'd say this place is 5 stars but they don't charge you an arm and a leg like similar places. I usually go to Signature and this place is only $5 more so I can live with that. read more

I brought my family here after my second or third visit. Prices are fair, I would say, because they always go above and beyond my expectations. We scheduled a couple's massage for 3:15 over a month out for our anniversary. We rescheduled it to 4:30 several weeks before ou, and hired a sitter. They called the day of, asking where were we for our 3:15 massage. Ok, that's fine, mistakes happen, we won't get our massage. Disappointing, but that's life. But here's where the one star comes in - she says, well, let me call the manager to see what I can do about the cancelation fee. Whoooa, what? It wasn't our mistake! I think the correct response is, "I'm really sorry, can we rebook you for another time?" Sadly, after that, the answer is no. ETA: so my husband loves this place, so we made an appointment for another couples' massage. They tried to call us and cancel, saying they'd double booked. My husband told them what happened last time, and a manager got on the phone and said they'd figure it out. They kept our appointment and threw in a sugar scrub. That's better, at least. I'll bump my 1 to a 4, and we'll definitely be back. It's a nice studio, and they do a good job. read more

Joined as a member recently and this place is really convienent with online bookings and being open late. All the massages I've had have been good to excellent. Kristen was the best if you are looking for some serious pressure. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would suggest with the flexibility they offer. Being a member is really easy too it's just paying for one massage a month and if you don't use you can roll over or give to someone else. They don't expire. read more

Ive gotten massages all over the world and let me tell you this place is amazing! I went in for some back pain as I am a dancer and over use my back a lot. Heidi worked out my back and gave me a really soothing massage which was awesome! The entire massage was so relaxing I actually fell asleep a few times (no shame lol). Tried their relaxation introductory offer for $49 and then checkin via Yelp for another 30min additional upgrade. So you will have a total of 1 1/2 hrs for $49 only. The place is very clean, high ceilings, individual rooms are well kept and simple. Very calming feeling at the waiting area and or check in area and it's overlooking a patio outside. Ample parking and very quiet too. Catherine who was assigned to me is very good but this place don't do abdominal area so that the only reason it's a 4 star. I am so used to having a deep pressure and the introductory relaxation massage is light pressure only. When I asked for more pressure, Catherine told me that it will need upgrading to deep pressure and that means diff price which is up. I am just used to having a massage that if I say more pressure that they do without hesitation in other places and since I am trying this place for the first time, I understand that they have rules and details on what type their massage offerings. Overall, you will have to choose from what type of massage pressure you want and how many min or hours and they have diff pricing. The best part is that they have a membership offerings that you will save money if you do massage as a body maintenance for yourself. read more

The massages are amazingggg and the prices are very reasonable - especially with the Wellness Wednesday promotion. The aura upon walking in is relaxing and Cody gives the best deep tissue massage I've ever had; I'm incredibly tense. He's the only massuse I've seen, but the other staff is always friendly. This is to amend my earlier two-star review. The owner of the studio graciously reached out to me and we discussed the situation. On both ends it probably could have used a little more attention and I certainly should have made a better effort to get my needs across to the massage therapist. I will return to the Massage Studio for another deep tissue massage at some point in the future and will also ensure that the staff clearly understands my my particular issues. The owner offered some helpful recommendations and I felt she was genuinely concerned about the situation and that she wanted to ensure that I was satisifed moving forward. I came here for the first time today and I'm very picky about my messages but I was sooooo impressed with everything at this place!! The lady at the desk was sweet and very informative about my questions and they have complementary water and hot tea! The set up was so cute in waiting room and in the massage room. The lady that did my 90 minute deep tissue massage was named Keesha. She was amazing and did a great job she used the right amount of pressure and made sure to spend extra time on the spots I needed most. I love this place! Heidi is an extremely talented masseuse and overall such a kind woman and presence! She manages to work out the numerous knots all over my body and relaxes me to a point where I almost fall asleep! This is their new location, and I didn't think it could get better than their old - but I'd follow then where ever they went. Very relaxing & Zenny {is that a word?}. The therapist took time to ask questions and answer a few, offered advice on posture {I hold my shoulders tensed up and she could tell} and knew I've been drinking more soda than water {guilty!} recently. Pressure was perfect - she asked periodically thru the massage but not in that disruptive way some do. Prices are good, massages are great - can't beat that. read more
