I was so excited to try this place last night! I love love poke. We came in around 6 pm and it was super packed! All tables were taken. Very simple and smart idea of how they had everything set up. You basically just customize your own poke bowl. Small-$7 Medium-$8.75 Large-$10.75 They had three sizes small, medium, and large. The first station you would pick your base such as brown or white rice, salad, nachos, a wrap, and you could even do a half and half. I decided to choose medium with brown rice for a healthier alternative. Station two you would choose to include crabmeat, avocado, cucumbers, white onions, or everything. Choose everything :'D Station three is where you pick your choice of fish. Since I chose medium that gave me an option to pick from three fishes they had available. I chose tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. SO GOOD!! Then you would pick from their delicious sauces. I chose spicy since I love everything spicy :') they can also give you sauce on the side to try if you're iffy about a certain sauce. Spicy miso on the side tasted amazing with my bowl! Lastly you would top off your poke masterpiece with their toppings that included seaweed, green onions, wasabi, ginger, and masago eggs. Mmm. FOOD: 4/5 Pretty nice poke idea here, it's like chipotle style where you can customize your own bowl. I think the medium size bowl is the perfect amount for one person. I love the fish quality here as well, and I definitely want to try the octopus next time. My faves are salmon and yellowtail. I like the original pokinometry sauce, but it is a bit on the oily side. There's a good selection of drinks here as well if you want something to go with the poke, or else they do have water cups for you. Wanted to try the hype and it was actually not half bad. It's literally a chipotle, but poke version. You get your line of items you can add. A variety of different fishes, shrimp, octopus, although I wish the size chunks of the fish were cut a bit bigger; they did give you a good amount. Your choice of sizes, rices, and nacho style. And toppings and fillers. Pretty interesting since there are add ins like what you find in California sushi: the nori, imitation crab filling and avocado. The only downside as that they didn't have a choice of sauce. Only one plus their spicy sauce, which I found not that spicy. Not as much variety of sauces as north shore, still can't beat that place. I believe the hype!!!!!!! After seeing pictures of pokiNometry everywhere on social media and yelp, I had to give it a try, especially since I love poke! I thought the quality of fish wouldn't be up to par but it definitely was! My bowl: Bowl: half rice and half chips Nemo: salmon, tuna, and shrimp Sauce: spicy Toppings: everything (green onions, sesame seeds, and smelt eggs) After taking pictures for snapchat and yelp, I devoured my bowl in like seven minutes. I love the strong sesame oil flavor and the embellishments. The fish is served pretty cold, which I actually prefer-- I hate room temperature food. When you take your first bite, your mouth is filled with all types of flavor but once your tongue develops, you're like damn, this shit is so bomb!! It tastes healthy and has so much flavor. They also have a self serve miso soup machine by the utensils. I crave soup with whatever I'm eating so it was perfect. The parking wasn't too bad when we went since it was around 2:00. There's free street parking along the street, both parallel parking spots and parking spots you pull into. You might have to walk a little bit if you park far away but it's a safe walk. It didn't feel shady. The workers there are all pretty friendly and efficient. Location isn't too far from where I live so I'll probably frequent pokiNometry often. I've been to a lot of build-your-own poke bowl places in the OC, but this has to be one of my favorites. [FOOD] Simple ordering process, pick your base (white/brown rice, chips, salad, etc), choose your mix-ins (crabmeat, avocado, cucumbers), your scoops of protein, your sauce, and toppings. I usually go for 2 scoops of salmon and one of tuna (2 scoops for small, 3 for medium, 5 for large). You pick your sauce, and toppings. I personally love a good spicy flavor so I always ask for the spicy nometry sauce and a little bit of the spicy mayo. I have yet to try the dynamite sauce so maybe I'll give that a go next time. Love this place because they give a great fish-to-rice ratio, which is really what the Irvine locations are really lacking at. The sauces are good and the fish is fresh, so what's not to love? I've had many poke bowls before and I'd have to say Pokinometry wins! CUSTOMER SERVICE: 5/5. I've never had an issue with anyone that has served me before. They're always nice when answering questions and asking what toppings or fish I want in my bowl. Place is super decked out in cool paintings from an artist named Jose Ortiz. I don't come here often, but when I do, there's new paintings on their wall most of the time! Moana was my favorite painting that I saw today. PRICE: 5/5. For their prices, I definitely think they're on the cheaper side than most poke places! Portions are definitely worth the price. I usually get a medium with half chips and half salad, for fish: albacore, yellowtail and scallops, and all of the toppings except wasabi and smelt egg. I have to start off by giving two thumbs up to the folks who opened up a Poke restaurant business located close by the Disneyland resort in Anaheim. After hearing all the rave about this place, I thought I'd check it out since I was in town. I arrived at the spot 15 minutes prior before opening at 11:30am, and this is on a Friday. There were 5 people ahead of me in line who were already standing outside the door. As the door opens, we all walk in and you see this huge menu above with detailed instructions of what your options are, which reminds me of Chipotle. Finally got to try what the hype was all about! All my friends were spamming my Instagram with Poki bowls, so I had to try it out. Parking is a little difficult if it's like super busy because you have to park on the street. After the whole parking thing is squared away, Pokinometry is on the corner. Pokinometry's style of serving is basically like Chipotle. You choose between a rice bowl, nachos, or salad. Then you choose a bunch of toppings, fish, and sauces. And VOILA! You got a Pokinometry bowl! So I got brown rice, all the toppings, with tuna/salmon/yellowtail. With the sauce concoction that the server gave me in bowl, it was a good bowl to eat. It's not your traditional poke bowl because of all the extra fixings its got, but its still really tasty. The mixture of the crab meat, avocado, and everything else tastes like I'm eating one big sushi rainbow roll. Haha. On their website they define that they serve Poki, which is to not be confused with Poke. It says that Poki is a "new style of sushi, derived from the Hawaiian dish Poke." So don't get it twisted with Poke, haha. However, if you're looking for some legit poke, you've come to the wrong spot. I've heard people saying that this place is way better than North Shore Poke, and in my opinion North Shore is way better. What Pokinometry is to North Shore Poke is like how Chipotle is to some legit Mexican place. Modern vs. Traditional. Finding delicious poke (poki for sushi + poke) anywhere other than Hawaii seemed like the stuff of dreams. Until I found PokiNometry. A coworker went on his lunch break one day and told me about it so when a friend and I were looking for somewhere to go for dinner, we looked no further than Anaheim. Like many people have said, it's very much a Chipotle-like setup. You get in line, you can see all the options on the other side of the glass, and you choose away! You choose your bowl size, rice or salad, types of fish you want, sauce and then toppings. They mix the fish and sauce in a separate bowl and then add it on top of the rice which I really liked. Each piece of fish was nicely coated that way. I ordered a medium sized bowl (which was more than enough food) with spicy tuna (which is mashed just as an FYI), salmon and yellowtail, medium hot sauce, all the toppings except ginger and brown rice. My total with a drink came out to 10.50...not bad at all. Staff is super friendly and they don't try rush you like some Chipotles do. It's not a huge place but it was still pretty good sized. The long high table against the window really helps. Parking is really the only downside here. We were lucky when we got there there were plenty of parallel 90-minute spots available on the street right outside but when we left, it was packed. There is a parking structure about a block and a half down though in case there's no street parking. Satisfying an ahi poki craving in the Oc has been difficult till today. I had a medium rice bowl with brown rice, tuna, salmon and yellow tail as my fish. I had most of the toppings including the crab and masago egg with the mild sauce. The fish tastes up to par, wouldn't say it's a stand out fresh fish place but it was certainly devourable. As I mentioned earlier I think it's more about the combo in the bowl... They just have their flavors down. Compared to my stand out poki place in Oahu, there isn't as much fish in the bowl. But that doesn't knock it a star... In fact I think it worked well. I was a little surprised at just how much I enjoyed my pokebowl. It's true that the actual fish is not the best quality, as I've had better poke at many other places. But they are pretty generous with the other fresh ingredients and it allows for some good combinations that work well. The large bowl was around $11 and it looked pretty small at first glance. But after piling on the imitation crab, avocado and the poke itself, it turned out to be pretty substantial. I also like the healthy options they have for brown rice or salad. I tried mine with the new spicy mayo sauce, and it had just the right amount of spice. If I lived closer to this place, and if it wasn't so crowded, this would be a perfect little lunch for me. These guys have a great concept and do a pretty good job executing it. But honestly, I am not a fan of this location. The parking is seriously annoying. Pokinometry has been on my yelp bookmark for over 6 months and finally me and slave girl were near the area to pay a visit. I was so excited since yelp had many many positive reviews so it's a tremendous shock to see my one star experience. Let's start with service. The staff there wasn't rude, but wasn't amazingly helpful either. They just assume you have eaten there before and didn't bother say much to you other than getting my order. Good thing the line was long so we had time to read the menu and figured out what we were doing. Now with the food. I can't say I was impressed with the food at all. It was messy, bland, flavorless, and over hyped. The only good thing was the portion of the bowl. What I really don't get it is, the meaning of poke is to have the fish marinated before serving for at least 30 min , not coating the fish with some "sauce" and put extra sauce on top of the rice then call it poke. The first couple bites were ok, but then toward to the end of the bowl, it got super fishy due to the lack of the sauce on the bottom. My stomach feels funny just by thinking about the taste again. Lastly, what really bombed my experience was the inconsistency of the size for the bowls. While I had no complain about the size of mine, slave girl's large was equivalent to a small. It was so small the cashier asked her if she had a small after looking at the bowl. Then after the cashier looked at the writing on her bowl, he charged us LARGE. woah dude... This place is overrated. So don't come here so I can come back here without having to wait in a line. FOOD QUALITY: I'm very surprised they can crank out this kind of fish without going broke; decently fresh fish that is marinated in sauces that brings out the umami with other sides (avocado, crab meat) to bring out the sweetness of the fish. The fish does not get much time to marinade long in the sauce but it doesn't matter because everything else works to highlight the fish unless your mouth is burning off from their sauce. So warning. Mild can get spicy, and it's not a punch-in-your-face spicy, but a creep-up-behind-you spicy. So I'd expect worse from the spicier sauces.. Anyway, there's just a lot of things going on this bowl; the fish sings along with avocado & crab meat like they do in sushi rolls, while the sushi rice highlights the fish with its sweet acidity. And ultimately, the sauce cuts the heaviness of the entire bowl while bringing intense flavors at first. There's a lot of spiciness, sweetness, acidity, savory swimming in each bite, and it's really addicting! ENVIRONMENT: Stuffed, cramped, loud, but pretty clean on open. Great concept! Loving the affordable chipotle style sushi/pokibowl idea! Location wise, not digging it really...in the middle of downtown Anaheim in the commercial area. Parking here is a bit random and far from the restaurant--kind of inconvenient. Food itself was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and the whole build your own poke bowl idea has really attracted a lot of sushi/fusion foodies. Choices comes in 3 sizes, small medium or large. Small comes with two scoops of fish, medium 3, and large 5. You can choose from salmon, albacore, tuna, spicy tuna, shrimp or yellowtail. There moving on to avocado and/or imitation crab. All after you get to choose from brown rice or white rice, nachos or salad. Lastly you choose the degree of spice you want and whether you want fukiyaki or sesame. All in all I thought my experience was satisfying. Definitely worth the try, a little pricier than I expected but then again the ingredients are fresh and not cheap. I NEED something like this in San Diego. I would go there ALL THE TIME! Yes, like every review out there, it's like the chipotle of poke. I ordered the medium poke bowl with half salad and brown rice. I wish I ordered them with chips after, but that's definitely for another time. So you pick the size of bowls, what kinda poke, and how spicy you want it. The pressed some imitation crab mixed into my brown rice which elevated the meal for me. The salad was the basic spring mix that I can probably just skip next time. Watch out for the spice levels cause they so get very spicy. Also it is very easy to get overwhelmed there because there so many pokes to choose from!! It's a medium size spot on the corner of Harbor. Very busy, for what I assume to be, all the time. PokiNometry is great in satisfying a poke craving. It follows the same concept as Chipotle where you get to pick what goes in your bowl (except you're not charged extra for avocados here heh). I generally like the salmon, yellowtail, and tuna although the individual tastes of the fish get blended together and start tasting similar after being mixed with everything else. A small bowl is more than enough to fill me up, and I tend to eat a good amount. A few changes since the last time I was here: they've slightly raised the prices for their medium and large bowls. I also noticed they're now serving miso soup (with free refills) for $1.50. Like everyone else has mentioned, parking is pretty terrible although I haven't had a problem with it so far. You'll probably need to utilize your parallel parking skills if you want to be close by. read more

I wouldn't recommend the nachos I really want to try the wraps. I don't see many people get it. By the way, the small bowl is filled over the top! Very awesome! I love how this place is so organized. Poke bowls are my favorite things to eat. If a new location open, I have to try it so I can see if there's a better place. I just moved to Orange County and this thus far is my favorite. Location is nice, just be prepared to possibly take longer than expected to find parking. The inside of the establishment is fairly large and spacious. There's amazing artwork displayed inside as well, some available for purchase. Music is played but not overbearing, and the employees are great. The food is fresh, super flavorful and extremely satisfying. A large bowl has five scoops so be ready to conquer that if you dare. Avocado is free. Miso is not. They also have a cooler with yummy Asian drinks. Totally recommended. read more

Came here for the first time!!! The poke bowl was really good, I recommend a medium bowl. My combination was medium with white rice, tuna and mushed tuna with everything ! I really enjoyed the seasoning and flavor. I like the idea of the assembly line and easy to read menu. If you have a 30 min lunch this place is perfect bc you can get your food quickly. read more

Poke has gotten to be a really popular menu item in recent months. People have gotten away from the more expensive sushi and opted for the marinated fish over rice concept. I'm not complaining! I have loved this type of food for quite a while and was ready to try this place out. First off- parking can be quite hard. Try to find something on the street going down after you pass this restaurant. Once we got in the location, we waited in line probably about 15-20 minutes because some other people were indecisive on what to order. The menu shows how to order and what types of fishes and sauces they offered. I think the idea and the concept of this restaurant, which is sort-of Chipotle/Subway-style is interesting and offers options for your meal. However, the only complaint that we had agreed on was that there was just not enough sauce options. I wish there were different types of sauces that were different from other poke restaurants. I ordered the small rice bowl with salmon and tuna. There was A LOT of rice and I felt that the fish-to-rice ratio was a tad bit off. read more
