I will start off by saying this was a take out order and I do plan to return to give it another try. I wanted to pickup some ceviche for me and a friend. They had shrimp ceviche tostadas on the specials board. I ordered four to go! I had to wait a bit but it gave me chance to check out the beer selections & decor. I was really impressed with the local beer choices. Everyone I encountered was nice! Once they gave me my to go, I looked in the bag & I questioned, is this 4 orders! He confirmed yes. It certainly didn't look like much for $20. I was hoping looks were deceiving...nope! I may have gotten 3 shrimp in the whole bowl of shrimp ceviche. I was very disappointed especially since the flavor was good and it cost $20! I hoping this was just a fluke. Next time I will dine in & order off the regular menu. read more

Yummy! Hawaiian meets Asian meets Mexican. I am in love with Poke bowls. They have so many options to make it your own. The Mexican fusion works great. This place is really great, the poki is genuinely excellent. My only complaint is that the use farmed salmon, although the rest of the fish IS wild caught, just avoid the salmon. Over all i highly recommend Poki Poki. The fish tacos are also incredible! read more

Poki Poki is an awesome place to get your "ceviche" fix. I'm not sure what the founders goals were, but I can tell you, from someone with Peruvian roots this is NOT ceviche. Poki Poki is essentially naked sushi. There is a mix between Asian, South America and American fusion. I was so surprised how loud and rushed all the employees were. They want you in and out. No time to educate ppl what they want just to get you in and out. The customer service was not good, not rude, just rushed. Ceviche is a delicacy and Poki Poki is gimmicky for those who don't know otherwise. If they call themselves a "cevicheria" then they should do their homework. Now, if your looking for a "naked sushi" meets Chipotle, then this is your place. Take it as it is , it's very delicious! It's a convaer belt of walking though, order and get out. The food was delicious, atmosphere is nice and bar was unique. If you want an authentic ceviche, not your place, if you want some good fish and lunch (all else aside), Poki Poki is for you! read more

The Poke bowl was awesome. Fresh and tasty. I like the atmosphere. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Nothing negative, it's just a typical build your own poké bowl spot, the 3 stars is just to reflect that, I can say the same for similar accommodations around the city. I think the customer base is more about the allure of looking or being "trendy" by campy young hipster types and college kids than the actual food tasting out of this world. Still, the place is good, it won't knock your socks off but it's pretty decent. read more

Update: They changed their tacos back to using the good tortillas (or mastered their own). So I'm giving them a star back for excellent customer service. This place is great for poki poki and I would have given them 5 stars but I was deeply disappointed with their tacos last night. They have changed them since they opened and the "tortillas" were more like deep fried large corn chip. They were tasty but way too greasy. Don't get the tacos here--not worth $3 a piece. Next time I go I will know to get a poki bowl! I really do like be that they offer kimchi as a topping...don't think their competitor offers that. Additionally upstairs there is a coke machine and utensils so that is convenient! Also, the miso soup is fairly good. read more

I really like their bowls. I made my own bowl and all of their fish was very nice, clean, and tasty. I got a medium sized bowl and it was very filling, but also very good. I do think heir set up could be a little better, I didn't really know the directions of how they wanted you to tell them how to make your bowl. But overall I really liked their food. read more

My whole family loves Poki Poki! My daughter gets the popcorn chicken, so good! All of the ingredients are fresh! Fish is amazing, sauces are great and the amount and types of additional toppings are great! The teas are wonderful and you can add poppers and boba! First time here; came for lunch with hubby and son. What a great decision! Today's specials include a number of seafood or meat tacos, tostadas, and specialty bowls. The regular menu has 6 different bowls, and for any bowl you get TONS of choices for each "step": base (white or brown rice, salad, corn chips), then seafood (at least 3 kinds of ceviche, plus sushi, cooked shrimp, popcorn chicken, tofu, pineapple), then at least 8 kinds of sauce, then basic or deluxe toppings (ex. avocado, pico de gallo, seaweed salad, edamame, and MANY more!), then finally 6 different dressings to top it off. Each of these steps has many gluten free options. We calculated there are 247,000+ different bowl combinations you could make! The decor is casual yet funky industrial. Plenty of customers for lunch today, but we had no trouble finding a table. Can't wait to come back and try lots more different bowl combos! read more

This place was amazing! I got the fish taco and the carnitas taco. They were hands down the best tacos I've ever had. They were so fresh and flavorful. My boyfriend got the teriyaki bowl and he loved that too! Also the sangrias are worth trying! We'll be coming back for sure. read more

My wife and I were excited to try this place. We were able to find easy parking in the lot on the west side of the building. When you enter the door step up to the counter and order from the menu on the wall above. The staff was great at explaining how to order and were very knowledgeable about the ingredients. This is very much like sushi deconstructed. The food was very fresh and flavorful. There is a cool indoor outdoor bar that serves wine and beer. The outdoor patio is welcoming and comfortable.
