Great spot to eat. Love poke, even as a vegan. Soooo many different ingredients to choose from! Service was quick (no one was there when I came). I only do takeout but they have small seating areas.

It makes me so sad to leave bad poké reviews. I love Pokeworks, and as an out of towner, I was really excited to place my Uber order. Sadly both of the items we ordered were wrong with paid additions omitted from the order entirely. I requested torched seafood and instead got raw. As lovers of food, Pokeworks left us very sad

Be ready to spend anywhere from $15-$20 a bowl due to inflation but it's worth it. They give you a good amount of food with (almost) unlimited toppings. Everything is fresh and flavorful. Front parking is a little hard to find during lunch hours but plenty is available if you don't mind a little walking. They need to bring back the lotus chips and the free miso soup coupon when check in.

Poke works is hands down the best place for poke in Houston! They have several locations, and I've always received great service and food at all of the ones I've been to. They have tons of toppings and sauce options, and they're not stingy with them either. I usually get the build your own bowl, but I don't think you can go wrong with the preset bowls if you're not sure what to get! They also have cooked chicken, tofu, and shrimp options if you're nervous about trying the raw fish. This particular location is smaller than some of their other ones, so if you're wanting to dine in (after the pandemic of course!!), it might be better to choose another location. Other than that, the quality of the food and service is the same fantastic quality it is at the others!

Located in a Target shopping center off of Westheimer in the heart of Montrose. Interior is clean and it's a Chipotle for Poke, pretty much. Plenty of fish and topping options. I got the ahi tuna bowl and the fish and toppings were solid. Definitely a decent light meal option for the area.

Came here for my regular torched salmon poke bowl as a pregnant lady. Was having a stressful day but Maggie absolutely made my day. She defines what customer service is all about. She made me feel so welcomed. She also actually made the best poke bowl I ever had. I don't know how she did it but she seared the salmon to where it's cooked but is almost as soft as raw salmon. This is officially the best Pokeworks in Houston. Maggie if you see this thanks again girl :)

Hot Miso Soup Garlic Spam Musubi

Came here for a light snack on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty much empty. There is ample parking in the shopping strip. I checked in for a free miso soup and then purchased a garlic spam musubi at the cashier. It was bogo which was a nice surprise. The employees were super cheerful and sweet. S/o to them The miso soup here was so much more flavorful than the one I had at the new location on Main st. The musubi was delicious. My friend also said that this musubi was better than the one he had at the Main location. My only critique is that it would be great if they could find a way to keep the musubi warm.

-excellent food -great selection -generous with toppings - big quantity of poke for the price (never finish & always take home for leftovers) - Pretty interior and exterior - Nice Staff - I always build my own Easily one of my top favorites for poké!!!! Definitely worth it!!

first time here, during lunch. looked like they had a lot of mobile orders as well as walk-in customers but there were only two staffs. unfortunately they were taking their sweet time and decided to give a customer their food first who came later than me. i was in a hurry and as this is a quick in and out place it was overall not a good experience. idk why they would ask me if i want to join their rewards in the middle of lunch hours. the lady who prepped my burrito rolled the burrito loosely when i opened it it wasn't tight. and i felt like the rice portion should be lesser than the other ingredients .. if you are charging $15. all and all it taste good but idk if i would return at this location. they could improve their customer service, especially it's the holidays too so. the inside looks clean and spacious.

Pokeworks bowls have decreased in size. The 2 protein bowl is so small now. It barely fills you up. Why the change?

There were a lot of other items on the menu that sounded fantastic. The food quality was great and the staff was kind. Honestly, this feels like a place that will probably make its way into our monthly rotation. My only small critique is that it's a little on the pricey side. The pork was seasoned well and had good flavor from the marinade. The cilantro, pickled onions, jalapeno, all were so fresh and vibrant! And I was able to get homemade chips and fresh strawberries as my side - such a refreshing bite the strawberries after a rich, porky, spicy bite from the sandwich. Can't say enough good! Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.
