Accidentally left my reusable water bottle in the shop on Sunday and tried to call a half hour after leaving to ask them to hold onto it for me to pick up later since I had other plans where I couldn't go back immediately. The call went to voicemail and they never called back. I went back at 4:50 PM (their posted closing time is 5 PM) and they were closed already. I tried to call again and no one answered. They didn't open again until Tuesday. I came by to ask about it and they said it had been thrown away by one of their employees because it had spilled and no one came back to claim it. Who throws away a reusable water bottle? Obviously it's someone's property and any reasonable person would think to hold it for at least a business day or two. I had called the store several times to ask about it and all of them went unanswered. I even tried to call back right after receiving their text that it had been thrown out and that didn't even go through. I had said it was frustrating that my property had been thoughtlessly thrown away and the store owner retorted that it was frustrating that someone else knocked it over onto their cards, as if it was my fault. Not to mention that their binder cards are grossly overpriced. Don't shop here read more

PokeStops is honestly a really solid shop. They have a ton of Pokémon, One Piece, MTG and other collectible stuff, and every time I go in there's always a lot to look through. Store is clean, people are cool, and parking is super easy which is rare around here. Definitely recommend checking it out. read more

For all parents not sure how to find out the cost of the cards go to https://www.tcgplayer.com All the single cards are over double the price. $3 dragonite vstar for $15 and a $20 lapras for $45. Sure I made the decision to not buy because I know how to check the prices but I feel horrible for the people getting into the hobby and without knowing paying these insane prices. All ETB at least 20$ overpriced too. And the vibe the workers give just makes you not even want to try and negotiate. Been to almost every store in the valley and this is the only one I will for sure not be returning to. I hope some parents can see this so they don't get ripped off. Sucks they're just gonna comment on this trying to justify it instead of being real about prices. No false information here don't hit me with that sweet super awesome cease and desist lmfao. *THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THEIR ONLINE STORE* I initially bought 10 marnie battle boxes. They said they only had 7 and sent an email stating that a refund for the 3 was on the way. I didnt receive the refund at that time and would have never noticed because i assumed i would get it and didnt check Instead of 7 marnie boxes i got 4 steven and 3 marnie battle boxes. I requested a return and that is when i noticed the missing refund. So i pointed it out and they sent the refund for the 3 marnies and the refund for the 4 returned stevens For some reason, this store keeps claiming that the 1st 3 marnie box refund was an accident and i need to pay them back. Weirdly they want me to buy more stuff from their store as the method of payback. After repeated attempts to show them that nothing is amiss and i have finally received the correct refunds they are threatening to report me to the police and sue me. Now they are claiming that they accidentally sent me three refunds and are making various other bogus claims. At this point i believe they are just trying to extort money out of me. No idea what the in store experience is like but i can't imagine that with the kind of customer service where you are in danger of being frivolously sued that it is a business worth supporting read more

It took me a while to write this review because I wanted to really think about what to say. Overall, I think this shop is great -- they have a wide variety of packs and singles, which is definitely a plus. However, I did notice that some cards are priced higher due to popularity rather than being based on market values from TCGPlayer or PriceCharting. For example, I was looking for a Mew card that typically goes for around $17, but it was listed at $52 here -- likely because Mew and Mewtwo cards are fan favorites. It's a bit disappointing if you're trying to build a deck and buy singles affordably, though of course, you can always check out other shops. I think this place could be even better if prices were reviewed or adjusted at least once a month, since card values change frequently. Otherwise, singles that stay overpriced might just end up sitting as dead stock. read more

Just started up my collection again and wanted to see if any of my cards were worth anything come to find out my cards were fakes big deal, I asked how you would be able to notice out of curiosity in case I decide to purchase any cards from anywhere else, come to find out you need 6 years of experience and also own a bodega of a poke store to notice if cards are fake or not first and last time here so shoutout toy mania!!!!for the great advice and NOT having such unprofessional people working there. Met with Sean and had a great experience in the shop. Collections are legit . They also have plushies and other Pokémon related items from different generations and collabs. Prices aren't scalps at all. Worthwhile to visit for any collector. Also heads up they're getting an official certified league status . So that's awesome ! We visited Poke Stop in Tarzana, right off Ventura, and had such a great experience! The person working there was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Pokémon. My son asked at least 100 questions, and he patiently answered every single one with so much enthusiasm. I went in to Pokestops looking for a few specific cards to boost my new deck I'm building. The shop owner (Sean I think his name was) pointed me to the shops binders which were organized and alphabetized. They even had an area with a table for me to sit and go through the binders. Didn't find the cards I was looking for but lots of good unopened product and some cool collectible singles in the case - graded and raw. Can't wait to go back with my 151 checklist and see if those binders can help me fill out my collection! read more

Additionally I think the singles for purchase have been weighed and sorted out because I asked if I could see multiple of the same pack and choose which I wanted and wasn't present with this option. I can't confirm whether my theory was true but it just didn't feel right. Hi I Downloaded yelp just to write this review. I've been collecting for a good while now and these are some of the highest priced singles I've ever seen. What seems to be going on after reading some of the owners replies is that they are pricing the ungraded singles based on what they think they would get if they sent it into psa. I mean I get it but like... that defeats the whole point of psa, price go up after, not before. Even if the card would get a 10 it seems off, like why wouldn't they just grade it themselves and sell the slab for more? Doesn't add up. Sealed products were similarly overpriced, but not as extreme. not 1 star because there's a bunch of fun pokemon stuff in the room and a big snorlax :) read more

WE LOVE THIS SHOP!!! My kids are into Pokemon and absolutely love this place. Great selection and very fair prices. Sean is super cool with the kids and indulges their every question about Pokemon and asking how much every card or box in the store costs. They always want to open their pack in front of him so he can celebrate an awesome "pull" with them. My son recently bought a vintage GameBoy Advance there (better price than eBay) and then when he got games he begged me for 2 days to bring him down to the shop so he could show Sean and "let him play it" : ) . I grew up in a little town where when you went into the stores you knew everyone's names and felt like you belonged there. Pokestops has that vibe.
