Ordered delivery on a Saturday night and was not happy with our food. The fish portions were so small (2-3 pieces of each fish) and the spicy tuna did not seem fresh. It was battered and beat to a pulp, very weird texture and not the usual spicy tuna you can expect. The portions are so small and the bowls were practically empty. We paid $18 for each large bowl (paid extra for added avocado- and barely had any avocado in there) and it was mostly filled with rice, no fish. I would give this place another chance but would prefer to eat in to see if it's any different.
Why 4 stars? Because this is a solid option when a poke bowl is what you're craving. --- --- --- I've had Poke Man bookmarked for a long time and finally stopped in. I initially bookmarked it because I saw that they had sushi burritos, but when I actually visited, I was craving a bowl more than a burrito. I custom built my bowl with all the fixins and was content with it. Was it the most amazing poke bowl I've ever had? No, but it hit the spot with what I was looking for. I also added Gyoza to my order and thought those were very good, as was the mango boba tea, which seemed to be made from real mango, rather than just artificial flavoring. Also, I'll add that the person working here could not have been more friendly and welcoming! The biggest gripe for us was that the plastic spork was really not great for poke consumption. It was just a bit too flimsy to really get much substance when diving in to a jam packed bowl of goodness. This would easily be solved with an upgrade to the plastic cutlery, so not a big problem to overcome. Next time: sushi burritos will be had.
alright yall, i saw the reviews and had high hopes but the minute i walked in the smell of the place was SO WEIRD. like suuuper fishy and i thought about leaving for a second but put my order in anyways. the lady was really nice and quick to make my bowl but I'm honestly just scared of getting sick because of how everything looked and smelled. my bowl itself looks and tastes great but going in completely threw me off. idk, prob will pass next time
Online ordering needs some improvement, but we're hoping they get lots of practice over the next few weeks! Really good tea
Went for the sushi burrito, never had one before but ended up enjoying the appetizers. We had the Crispy Las Vegas Sushi Burrito the initial smell is just fishy from the seaweed wrap. The combination worked but wasn't anything special. But now for the appetizers....egg rolls (pork) perfectly cooked, crunchy, very tasty & the dipping sauce was delicious. Shrimp Tempura were kid friendly in a stick form, nice & crunchy. My absolute favorite out of everything was the Jalapeño Popper that was stuffed with cream cheese & snow crab then lightly fried, will be going back for these! The jalapeño wasn't spicy, still had its fresh texture both the cream cheese & snow crab meshed well together, overall a great combination of flavors.
**Restaurant follows proper COVID guidelines** Ordered the Texas Sushi Burrito and my wife the Spicy Tuna Poke bowl. Burrito was a very good size for the prize, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty! Wife loved the Spicy Tuna bowl but i didn't try it myself. Both look visually appealing as well even for to go, during times of COVID! Also had the Thai Tea bubble tea, great flavor but bubbles were a bit firm for my taste Will definitely try again!
Wow I am so disappointed in the Poke Man. I don't understand the high ratings. This was my one and only poor experience eating poke within the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area! I was so excited to see a poke shop just north of The Woodlands. When I walked in the basic decor restaurant which is somewhat common for poke I instantly noticed the temperature to be warm. It was very hot outside but it's very hot in the summer here. When I get poke in Spring or Houston the shops are usually very cold. I was concerned that the warm atmosphere might not be cold enough for the top layer of poke choices. I chose my poke with salad. The bowl was the tiniest I ever had for a 2 option seafood poke bowl. The lady lightly dropped the lettuce in the bowl giving it a full look. Next the poke was dropped in but was cut in itty bitty chunks like the cucumbers. It wasn't even full scoops. I was told I could choose 1 scoop of all the side items. The lady had small plastic like tongs and was very skimpy with each topping, just barely using the tongs to give me partial scoops. Anyway the price was $9.95 plus tax. I felt very ripped off. I got home and the lettuce settled in the small bowl. I was still Very Hungry afterwards. I have always been filled up getting poke at other poke shops. I even had to ask for more massago because only a few were dropped into my bowl the first time. Plus the fish was just ok. Not spoiled but warm and not uber fresh tastimg :( Not impressed with the stingy servings. I don't think I will return. ----------------------------------------------- Wow!!! Update.....really Shocked at business managers comments!!! In reality the inside circumference of my cheap little plastic poke bowl to go was approximately 5 1/2 to 6"! It was a few inches high. Also it was the Smallest Poke Bowl I was ever served poke in. I measured it to my small cereal bowl at home, that's how I know. Secondly it was a BOWL with sparingly dropped lettuce and sparingly dropped toppings from the Corner Only of the servers plastic like tongs. So Cheap!!! This Was NOT a BOX as the business business owner states. It was NOT CAPABLE OF HOLDING 32 ounces!!! See my pictures! Yes it was Warm inside! Most poke places I wear a jacket inside. I was uncomfortable warm in a light tee. Instead of realizing that I was treated poorly I was attacked with untruths by the business manager. I was told this place would never last in Hawaii from True Hawaiians who eat poke and saw my little portions. 1 Star for not realizing I was given an extremely tiny portion and for untruths concerning my experience!!! I really wanted to like this place but definitely Won't be going back now! I had to even ask the server multi times why such small droppings from the corner of her plastic tongs during my visit. I've written close to over 500 reviews on yelp in almost 10 years. It's very rare that I will give a small business a 1 Star. This drop from 2 stars to 1 is warranted!
One of the rare poke places you'll find in North NORTH Houston.. like. Woodlands/Conroe... Houston. I digress. Found myself here after a doctor appointment with my mom. It's close to the LoneStar Montgomery College, which is not bad but price point wise.. a bit more expensive than what a college kid can afford. For a regular sized poke bowl, I paid about $21-22 for a salad base and a rice base (two bowls). With the rice bowl, the rice filled up half of the bowl. The salad, minimal. Protein was a measly scoop of two choices with the regular bowl, but they did look pretty fresh and not like they've been waiting out all day. I would say that I've had better and bigger portions of poke bowls elsewhere though. They do have a good selection of sides and were more generous with that. The other poke place I frequent charges extra for snow crab mix, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this place didn't! The lady that was preparing our bowls was really sweet and recommended adding ponzu or poke sauce around the sides to add more flavor aside from the sauces we chose. It was a great suggestion! The place is very clean and well kept, with white tables and cute little potted pallets (albeit fake lol). Steady amount of customers, but not crazy loud. A good place to catch up with a friend!

Just tried this place on their Grand Opening Day, and let me just say, thank goodness The Woodlands/Conroe area finally has a great poke place! We tried the Red Dragon Sushi Burrito, the grand opening bowl, and 4 of the happy baos. The burrito I had was full of flavor and tasted fresh. My brother had the poke bowl, and he said it also tasted good and tasty. Of the four baos, our favorite was the one with the soft-shelled crab. I think it's a great value for the freshness And quality of the food you are getting. The service and wait was a little slow, however, but that is understandable considering it is their first day. Also, they have a lot more options than a regular poke place, which I think is good too for different people. Overall, the food was great and we will definitely be back! :-) read more

I had the Vegas sushi burrito for takeout. It's pretty good, taste like your regular sushi, nothing out of the ordinary other than the shape. I also got to try their Taro bubble tea which I was a bit disappointed in, I felt it was missing flavor. I prefer the bubble tea from The Teahouse. Since it was takeout I can't judge service, but everything was nicely packed in my bag read more

Found poke man on a whim running errands in the woodlands. They took poke bowl was taken away from us in vintage and was so lucky to find poke man. Had the snapper tempura bao conroe sushi burrito and large poke bowl. It did not dissapoint. Had the snapper the ahi and the spicy tuna as 3 proteins in the bowl. read more

The only place that I know of where you can get Poke Bowls. They make the best, most fresh and tasty Poke bowls with many, many choice of toppings. I'm fortunate to live 5 mins away so I stop by here at least once a week after work on the way home. The service is great and fast but attentive. This is a must try for healthy food lovers and sushi lovers. Highly recommended. read more

I'm glad my husband talked me into eating here. The food is really refreshing and low-carb/keto-friendly. We went with the poke salad, and despite choosing only low carb options, we ended up with a substantial and delicious meal. I'm not sure why the other reviews complained the protein portions are small. They use an ice cream scooper! This isn't a BBQ joint! read more

I went today specifically for a Poke bowl because I have been thinking about Poke since the day I got home from Hawaii. Of course we are in Texas so they don't give you near as much protein, but it still tasted great. I got the regular which is two scoops of protein, (I got salmon and spicy tuna), I might have to get the large next time just to get an extra scoop of tuna or salmon. It definitely tasted good and I also added carrots, cabbage, jalapenos and the miso mayo. I have only had poke basically ready to go, so I didn't know you can add all the other stuff and it was a little overwhelming. I also got my boyfriend the Ninja Burrito which has shrimp and bar b q and some other fillers. He said they put enough protein so his was just right! I will definitely go back in the future and try other things, especially their boba drinks and ice cream! read more

I loved the bowl and egg rolls so much, it was super filling and for the amount of food I got I had left overs. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, maybe I went during a slow time since it was early but it was quiet inside. I know another review mentioned a fish smell but it's not that strong, and you won't notice it after being inside for a couple minutes, the lady at the register was fast and kind. This is probably going to be one of my favorite places to eat frequently. The price is reasonable, staff is very friendly, and they make recommendations of what would go well. I got a Regular Poke with sushi rice, two types of protein, and unlimited amount of toppings. I also tried the Peppered Tuna Bao, and my boyfriend got the Shaggy burrito. The burritos are not as big as U'Maki and you can't really customize them, but they are super flavorful and really good. I am excited to go back again and try a different type of Poke. read more

The customer service was not that great... the workers were not friendly at all! The Bubble milk tea that I purchased was extra starchy... the tapioca balls( were a 0 at of 10 rating)... not sweet, the texture was bad too... too soft.. the tea was very starchy. My sister asked for a Taro tea ( which was made incorrectly) when she asked to replace it. The employee said, no. I would not recommend this place for drinks at all... if you had good boba tea... you'll know how bad this place is. Save your money!!!! Try Going to (I Love Boba)better service, better drinks. read more

I'm not sure what to say, other than just underwhelming. Last time I visited this establishment they had just opened and offered the Bao's (which were delicious) I enjoyed their poke bowls as well. Went in today and the girl working there seemed to have a very fake happy attitude. Basically I ask if I can have a Thai tea she quickly says, almost in an annoyed way, "we don't have any!" And when I was ordering the bowl she Just seemed a bit annoyed. I get it, sometimes you're having a bad day and can't help it and don't want to talk to anyone but it was a bit disheartening. I ordered the two scoop bowl, But then when I get home to open my food I literally have 5-6 small pieces of salmon. Definitely not worthy of being called a scoop, the salmon had that faint fishy taste as well, which is a clear indicator the fish is not fresh. The sauces and rice and toppings were good though so for that I give it 2 stars. Super close to my parents home so I wish I would've had a better experiencing but don't really care to come back, I guess try it if you're super into poke as it does have good flavor but don't expect anything out of this world (went to another poke spot yesterday and customer service was AMAZING, portions were generous and flavor delicious) I guess my point is that amazing poke places do exist it just isn't this one read more
