I use to live in Boca and fell in love with this place. I moved to Fort Lauderdale and have been traveling 45 minutes to eat here for past 3 years. Poky Jays has never disappointed me. Today we decided to travel to Poky Jays. Im hoping the new girl behind the counter just didn't know what she was doing yet. I was so disappointed with the taste and lack of ingredients in the bowl. When I went in to complain. All she said to me was, "that's the ways it's made" no it's not the way it's made!! Not sure if I will be returning Again. read more

Best Poke I've had outside of Hawaii. Must try, the reviews don't lie! Very Limited on seating so be careful bringing large groups. The Owner Jay is a great guy and is very welcoming read more

Two days ago, I went with my friends to Poke Jay and the place had a nice vibe! The ingredients were fresh, but the overall flavor felt a bit plain. Portion size was okay, though slightly small for what they charge! Service was polite but slower than it should've been. Overall, it was a decent experience--good for a try, but not something special. read more

Whether you're a local to Boca Raton, a tourist passing through, or someone looking for killer customer service, this is the place for you. Best poke bowls I've ever had - and this is coming from someone who could exclusively eat raw salmon breakfast lunch and dinner. The fish tastes really fresh. The ingredients are of good quality. More important than that though, is the staff that made both of my visits so memorable. We just moved to Boca from Michigan and we even tell our back at home friends and family how great this place is. Max is incredibly friendly, and I wish I knew the girls name who works there because she's just as sweet. I love that they insist on you trying a sample of a sauce or ingredient you may have not heard of, to ensure you love your bowl. This is definitely a 10/10. read more

I guess we're the only ones who don't love this place. They always seem to be out of 3-4 ingredients every time we're there. The portions of protein are really small and while taste is good, meals are unsatisfying versus poke bowls we've had elsewhere. But, I guess they shouldn't change anything because they're successful with great reviews. We'll just go somewhere else. read more

Poke Jay is actually THE best poke I've ever had. Their secret: they mix all of your proteins, toppings, sauces together before placing it in your bowl. It's a game changer and they do the hard part for you. If you love poke, visit this spot! read more

Poke Jay - Custom made bowl ft. freshly blow torched eel - Poke Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

After visiting Hawaii no poke bowl will ever compare but Poke Jay comes close. Right away I was greeted by the two young men that worked there with a friendly and positive vibe. They told me what is their most popular and also showed me how I can create my own. I ended up making my own. All the ingredients were fresh. They also weren't stingy. Their house sauce is super good. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. My husband, dog and I sat outside and a member of their staff, I wish I got her name, came outside to ask if everything was okay and brought Sofi some water. You know my rules...if you're good to my dog you're solid read more

Poke Jay - Tuna Poke Bowl - Poke Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

Small poke bowl restaurant with fresh fish, flavorful ingredients, and a housemade sauce that will keep you coming back for more! They have about 8 recommended bowls on the menu AND a create your own bowl option! I opted for the tuna avocado bowl but swapped out the tuna for salmon (because its my fave ). Beware, it comes with an entire hass avocado. Great for some, but a little too much for me so I got extra seaweed salad instead. The guy building our bowls was so so nice and extremely helpful. I wish I would have gotten his name to give a shoutout! He was manning the shop alone and still made sure to wipe down the tables between customers. Thank you for everything! read more

We didn't have a great experience this past Sunday and sent the store a private message sharing the issues we had. After many attempts from the owner to contact us, we finally got a chance to speak. He was very sincere, humble, and apologetic and didn't try to make any excuses. They had hired some new staff and those employees needed further training. It was a one-off and every restaurant has bad days. The efforts of the owner to right the wrong, even offering to drive the new bowls over to us personally, was above and beyond! We thanked him and said it wasn't necessary. He wanted us to try his place again this time to see what his bowls are REALLY like. I get that consistency is key, but sometimes you don't have control of your new hires and people can make mistakes. No one is perfect, but how you handle problems and present resolutions are signs of a successful business owner. Kudos to Jay for his professionalism and thoughtfulness. I would like to recommend Poke Jay and say that if you ever have a problem or aren't satisfied with your food, just know that Jay will do everything in his power to make it right!! Thanks Jay for the awesome customer service!! read more

Update: this place was fire on the second visit too. Love that build your own option. I managed to get a picture this time. Get the crispy garlic and crispy shallots for fried toppings. Heaven! More COVID 19 dining. This time Uber Eats delivery from Poke Jay. What a gem! Perfect for those times you want something healthy, or sushi, at a reasonable price. I had the build your own bowl with the salmon and the spicy crab and about a million yummy toppings and sauces! The Matcha Love green tea comes in a tiiiiiiny can, but the taste was excellent and I was wide awake well into the evening (so maybe save it for lunches instead of dinners if you are stimulant sensitive). Also it was prepared lightning fast but the order was accurate and the food fresh and tasty. Loved that spicy crab, and the fried shallots and fried garlic! read more

4 1/2 stars. I had high expectations for this tiny little poke place in the strip mall right across from Mizner a solid 5 star Yelp review. Fortunately, Poke Jay lived up to expectations. The bowl suggestions such as Tunado and Hurricane looked really interesting but 15 year old and ii went custom. All of the fish was super fresh with generous portions. Note there was no pre-made spicy tuna or salmon. I was happy to see yellowtail as an option, which I do not usually see at other places. There is a dollar charge for avocado, seaweed salad, or mango. Otherwise there are about twenty types of gratis toppings to choose from. Our server mixed most of the toppings together in the sauce before placing in the bowl. As my base I ordered half spring mix and half Thai Berry Brown Rice. The rice was especially tasty. Our server (not sure if it was Jay) was super friendly and put the utmost care into making our bowls. He gave us plenty of sauce on the side. We ate at one of the two small tables outside. For two bowls with three drinks with gratuity our bill was over $50. A little steep for a poke dinner for two, but we would return. read more

Having come to Poke Jay for the last 2 years, it was hallways stayed consistent in quality flavor. It's a staple for a quick bite and it's evident how it's been so consistent by its 4.9 which is warranted. Boca in my opinion has a lot of mediocrity across its restaurants but Poke Jay stands tall being one of the highest rated in the city and it is deserving of this ranking. read more

This place was great. I called ahead to see if they were open (it was a holiday), and they were! We came in and were the only people frequently the restaurant, which was a good thing because it's tiny and seating is minimal. The staff person was friendly and walked us through the menu with suggestions. We ordered a couple dishes, both of which were excellent. My only complaint is that they don't give tap water so we had to buy a bottle of water. If in town again, I would stop in. read more

Was in town visiting family for Christmas and on my way back home to Orlando I realized perhaps driving 3 hours on an empty stomach wasn't the greatest idea. I was in the mood for a poke bowl, saw this place and how well reviewed it was, and decided I had to give it a try. I'm so glad I did!!! The girl who was working (I don't remember her name unfortunately) was so kind and helped me with my order. I got the Tunado with white rice and spicy mayo and it was delicious! The tuna tasted great, everything was fresh, the portion was great for the price point, and I didn't feel over stuffed and gross after finishing the bowl. It is a small spot, so I'd imagine it gets quite packed during lunch rush especially being in Mizner but I had no issue with seating. All in all a great spot at a great price point!! I will be back next time I'm in town for sure read more
