And I mean that as the HIGHEST compliment. Corner Poke in Greenwood Village feels like you stumbled onto some side street in Japan... where you'd find takoyaki (octopus balls, and yes, I may have butchered the spelling), sushi rolls, burritos, and ramen all crammed next to each other. The kind of place where the guy running it clearly doesn't care about fitting into a box .... he just cooks what he loves. And that guy? He's the whole operation. One man. And he delivered... and then some. Dude threw in some extras on the house, which, look .... that doesn't happen anymore. That's old school hospitality right there. Here is the deal: people are saying this is the best poke in the area... and they're right. But calling it just a poke spot sells it short. This is now my go-to sushi south of Sushi Den. And if you know anything about Sushi Den, you know that's not a statement I make lightly. Five stars. No question. I WILL be back.

Came in during slow hours and was greeted right away by a nice lady, she was great and made sure to ask me how i preferred each dish when it comes to sauce/spice level/protein choice and even let me sampled their sauces all of which was great! After ordering and paying at the counter, I filled my fountain drink cup and sat down in the couple tables that they had, wait time was not bad at all and they even waited to make my poke bowl to go AFTER I finished my dine in meal which was great and I really did appreciate that! 5/5 I had siomai appetizer which was really good and the suace that came with it really complimented well! It was delicious and easy to eat that I had to fight myself from ordering a second order hehe. 5/5 The tonkatsu ramen was so delicious and the broth was so tasy, I picked spicy and the spice flavor was just right. All the ingredients complimented well and I finished the whole bowl, looks like the previous customers who came in also loved their ramen so it must be very popular! 3.5/5 I also ordered their salmon bowl to go which was decent, nothing too fancy, I think we didnt read the ingredients that well so next time we will customized it so we can enjoy it better but not bad at all. We will definetely come back for more if were ever around the area. Wanna Poke was a great spot with hearty ramen and serviced by friendly, helpful, and considerate staff!

Chinese pop music plays over the speakers and it's decorated with Asian artwork, a money plant and a really cool fish tank with various goldfish swimming around. The analog clock on the wall was kinda art deco and it was accurately displaying the time. I'll say that their spicy Tonkatsu soup base is wonderful and the noodles perfectly cooked and tasty. I'm not a fan of corn or spinach in the soup as those seem to be cheap fillers. The half eggs in our soups were hard boiled and not the normal medium-soft egg with the tasty rich yolk. :( They don't put any straw mushrooms in their soup and the shrimp I got were overcooked and not the tastiest. Hubby got the pork in his tonkatsu and it was incredible. Our fried wontons were great and the seaweed salad very good. So some things were great, others were not. I LOVED the darling plates with cute sayings and might come back to sample the poke dishes.

My friends and I both mentioned that this bowl all reminded us of Hawaii and the poke bowls we had there. It's very much comparable and such a treat for Denver to have a spot like this. I got to try their chirashi & spicy ahi poke bowl. The Chirashi portion was a good assortment of fishes. The portions of the fish cut was very fair. The fishes have such a smooth finish in the mouth. Overall, it was delicious. We were glad to have been able to find a great poke spot like this in Colorado.

That brought me back to the days hanging out with ohana around Kaneohe with my mango Powerade. The love and aloha that goes into each bowl is unmatched. While I do love spicy, their spicy kicks it up a notch. I would recommend the wasabi ahi first before going all the way. Aloha Cones is tucked away underneath Denver health and there is even a retail parking lot right next to the building so you don't have to go finding parking. You get 2 hours there. Drop by and enjoy! The poke is so ono (delicious). Give it a go!

The fish is super fresh and not fishy at all. We asked for the spicy mayo at half spicy because it's a little too spicy for our taste buds. You do get a lot more rice than fish, but it's worth it for the quality. Their minced tuna is also a great value if you don't mind less uniform, more scrappy pieces of fish. The people taking orders are super friendly too. Parking is street parking only, but we were able to find a parallel parking spot without much trouble. Reminds me of Hawaii!!

He took the drink order and also instructioned us to mark on the paper on what we wanted and when were were ready, press the buzzer. There were many choices and had a hard time choosing what we wanted. I wanted ramen for sure and also wanted some appetizer but opted for a dragon roll. My black garlic tonkotsu ramen was very rich cloudy broth, perfect to warm up, and it was delicious. Just the right amount of noodles and plenty of chatsu to go with. I have just scrached the surface as I write this review. There are so many options and choices that I failed to comprehend. I wish our waiter suggested some alternate options which we would have appreciated like the combo meal and also happy hour drink options. Will be back to full fill the ramen quest!
