I stopped into Pokémon Men recently because it had been a while since my last poke burrito craving. Unfortunately, this visit left me feeling like this isn't quite the same place I used to love. One of the first things I noticed was the addition of four self-checkout kiosks. While they definitely make ordering faster and more efficient, they also seem to have removed much of the personality and interaction that made the experience feel welcoming. The atmosphere now feels very sterile and transactional rather than a place where you'd want to sit down and enjoy a meal. The bigger disappointment was the food itself. Prices have increased significantly, which I can understand given today's economy and rising food costs. However, the portions appear to have shrunk considerably at the same time. My poke burrito was noticeably smaller than I remembered, and the seaweed wrap seemed too small to properly contain the rice and fillings. The result was a messy burrito that constantly fell apart and spilled everywhere while eating it. For nearly $20, I expected a more substantial meal and a better overall experience. The quality of the ingredients was still decent, but the value simply isn't what it once was. What used to be a fun, satisfying poke spot now feels more like a quick "take my money, here's your food, next customer" experience. I truly hope this location can find its way back to what made it special because I genuinely enjoyed coming here in the past. For now, though, the combination of higher prices, smaller portions, and a less inviting atmosphere makes it difficult for me to justify returning as often as I once did. read more

Located in the southlands by the movie theater. I love poke and this place does not disappoint! Fresh ingredients, lots of options for toppings on your poke bowl. You can even get it in burrito form! If you are not feeling poke they do have some other food options. I've tried their boba too in the Thai tea flavor. It was good! More of a to go spot, not a ton of seating inside. read more

Stopped by after seeing a movie on a Wednesday evening and what can I say other than they have a variety of items on the menu but we seem to always go for the Poke bowl because the ingredients are so fresh, perfectly diced and full of flavor . The owner is sweet , friendly and really cares about the product she puts out. It really shows in the quality of the ingredients and taste . Give it a try and thank me later ! read more

Let's get the bad out of the way. No matter what map app you use it'll take you to the back of the AMC movie theater where you'll see a bunch of kids smoking out back. Kindly keep driving and turn into the shopping center to find a parking spot. Now we can get to the fun part! Wonderful and upbeat service. I was greeted as soon as I stepped in and while the dining space is fairly small, the ceiling makes it feel expansive. I ordered a spicy ramen that showed up on their menu as Spicy Donkotsu Ramen. Traditionally its spelled Tonkatsu and I definitely couldn't spot any difference. The ramen came out decently hot paired with kamaboko, seaweed, bean sprouts and a half soft boiled egg. Taste, temperature and texture were all present. If I had anymore room I would've ordered more so that only warrants another trip here. Before I left I also ordered a Thai tea and red ben taiyaki. The Thai tea came out a bit sweet and as of this review I'm letting the ice cubes sweat a bit before drinking more. Otherwise it's definitely tasty. The taiyaki came out super filled and glad they left some of the edges on there because that is the best part! Since their namesake has poke in it I will have to return. Don't recommend getting the ramen or adding extras into your ramen. I don't think it was a $16.50 bowl with of ramen, maybe a $10 bowl. I added an extra egg and never got it. Matter of fact never even saw an egg in mine. My husband got chicken teriyaki bowl and it was worth the money. I wish I could say the same about my ramen. read more

Really wonderful customer service. My order has never been wrong in almost a year and the one time it was today due to a little mixup, they took care of it! My order was personally delivered by two staff (one of which l'm pretty sure was the manager or owner). They were so apologetic and sweet. I just love poke. So when I found myself hungry post mani pedi, I knew just the place. Away I went to Poke Men, to nosh on all the poke deliciousness! THE SPACE: Poke Men is located in Southlands Mall, to the west of the AMC movie theater. There's plenty of parking nearby. They offer a couple of tables outside to enjoy when the weather is nice and inside they have a variety of seating options including community styles tables and a couple small tables. I really like the glass accent wall that they decorate based on the season. The various stuffed fish had Santa hats for Christmas - so fun! THE EATS: I love that instead of standing at the counter and building your bowl as you tell them what you'd like, you fill out an order sheet ahead of time, and they construct your bowl to your preference. I opted for their regular poke bowl with 2 proteins (ahi tuna and salmon), on white rice, with onion, edamame, spicy shoyu sauce, spicy mayo, crab salad, seaweed salad, pickled ginger, avocado, garlic crisp, and nori. YUM! Everything was so fresh, filling, and delicious. They do offer up ramen and sushi burritos in addition to their poke bowls, but I'm so hooked on the poke, it's going to be hard to switch it up and try anything else! THE SIPS: I'm a sucker for Thai tea. So naturally that is my drink of choice when a poke joint is out of my favorite Hawaiian Sun juices. Darn, COVID supply chain issues. The Thai tea is perfectly creamy and sweet. Make sure to request no boba if you don't want it - they add it automatically. Sometimes I just want my milk teas straight up with no frills, so I wish I knew this ahead of time. THE SERVICE: After a couple visits now, it's safe to say that all the staff is very friendly. During one of my visits, they were clearly understaffed, but they handled their customers well and took care of every one. This was my first time trying a Poke bowl, so I didn't know exactly what to expect going in. This is a make your own bowl place, which was interesting. You could check off what you wanted in your bowl to give to the bowl maker, which is a nice touch to make sure nothing is missed. We got two bowls and a dessert to share. The bowls were a little pricier then expected for this level of dining (fast dining on par with chipotle, with option to eat in or take out) but they get a pass given it's fresh fish. For what we got, we were just underwhelmed. My wife has poke a couple times a month and she agreed that it was just an average experience, with better poke out there in the area. The dessert looked good and was tasty, but not enough to bring us back for just that. If you're nearby and craving poke, this would work but might be better to try around. read more

The Taiyaki was excellent and I highly recommend it with sweet Azuki beans, but next time I go, I plan to try it with chocolate. If you've never had Taiyaki, it is basically a stuffed waffle. They cook it fresh, so it takes a few minutes after you've ordered it. The Bulgogi Rice Bowl was ok. The Bulgogi was too sweet, but the serving size was generous. read more

Not the place for Ramen (at least from first attempt). I decided to give this a restaurant a try as it seems new, I ordered the Bulgogi Ramen. It took over an hour to finally get the Ramen ready. When I got it (via delivery, I live only 4~ minutes away from the restaurant). The broth was cold and basically made the whole thing luke warm. The bulgogi was overcooked/burnt and it was a very very conservative amount of it. For $16, which is more expensive than all the other ramen in the Aurora/Greenwood/Denver area, it's a bit of a slap. So yeah, I probably won't order here again but if they do try to improve their function and quality I may give it another try and re-adjust the rating. I do like that it's very close to where I live but it's annoying if it's going to be like this. read more

I ordered take out yesterday and they messed up my order. i paid for two proteins and they just gave me one. I never got the crab salad. they added something way too spicy also to mine. today almost 24 hours after eating it I have been in and out of the bathroom. I probably won't be eating here again. not sure they are holding food properly if I am feeling sick. read more

This place is GOOD. I frequently get boba and I use Thai tea as a judge of how good a place is. When it comes out as 2 layers you know it'll be good, and it was. Taiyaki was throughly filled with red bean. I will admit that it could've had a bit more flavor but it was still super good. I definitely recommend stopping in.
