I love poke and sushi and I work in East County, so I'm always bummed out that I'm not near any poke or sushi places. My husband found me this place near my work for me to try. The scoops are a little bit on the smaller side but the customer service is really great, they have a new spicy crab mix which was recommended and I loved it. I've ordered 3 times from this restaurant through Doordash. Very good food, fresh, generous size sushi bites. Pro Tip: when ordering online, make sure to put a checkmark in the condiment box at checkout if you want soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. Otherwise you will Not get any. I usually get 2 specialty rolls and one regular tuna or salmon roll which comes to about $49 each time. Special rolls are about 16.95 each, regular salmon and tuna are about 9.95 each . The food was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced, definitely the highlight of the visit. The staff were polite, though nothing particularly memorable in terms of service. One concern I had was with their food prep process. While assembling my bowl, the staff member placed a large lid, used to cover the food on the floor, then put it back over the ingredients afterward. I asked (nicely) if that was sanitary, and she responded that health inspectors had been there just the day before and didn't raise any issues. Still, it didn't sit well with me. Edit- please train your ppl- it's annoying for them to leave from taking my order to go in the back and ask for pricing changes and "if they are allowed" to Do something. Love this place still but have always switched out the crab mix in rolls and now that there is seaweed salad as a side I'll have that indefinitely as my base for bowls. Also the masago is extra now so if yall are used to ordering that beware. $5 to sub base I get. but masago used to be a normal topping, when I asked the lady what the extra side was she said masago.... They have a big variety of sushi, but one of their best friends is called the Guapo. Highly recommend this place extremely friendly staff and will help if you're indecisive on what to eat. They were out of several items including kimchi, a protein (some tuna I think), and could only provide 1 scoop of tofu. We were there around 6:30pm, so a few hours before they close. The employee seemed to be annoyed that were were requesting items that they ran out of. Over all the amount of food we received for the price would have been good, but because the rice was under cooked and the food wasn't enjoyable.
