The staff that was at the bar helped me navigate how to order via the QR code on the table and it was easy to place and pay for my order (and include tip) before getting our food. They got us water and made us feel very at ease. Grabbed our own plate and to-go box which was actually kinda nice to be able to come and go at our own pace, even though I felt a little awkward (could just be a me thing lol). They have an arcade in the back section which looks really fun! There's also a stage area where it looks like they can set up for live music, etc. Good set up with TVs in the bar area and looks like they have some interesting brews on tap. The "soft open menu" has a lot of options with dogs and burgers and loaded fries. I chose the Road Rash dog which is basically a chili cheese dog but with tons of sour cream and bacon on top. I got it without any onions but it does come with onion scallions and tomatoes in addition to the cheese and chili. The chili had great flavor! The hot dog had the perfect snap to it and the bun was SO SOFT yet had a little crisp on the outside. It is MASSIVE! I could only finish half of it - so if you visit, come hungry! The French fries I gave to my kiddo since he's not much into hot dogs but I did try a couple for good measure they were big and very flavorful. They were cooked just right - not soggy or overcooked. I only gave the 4 because I was just a little confused on seating ourselves and ordering at first... If I could do half stars I would go up to 4.5. Going strictly on flavor, it's a 5! The food definitely speaks for itself - worth the $12 for a gourmet hotdog in my opinion. I would for sure come back with the rest of the family or even just to try some of their drinks. This place IS LEGIT.

The menu is on the food truck which offers appetizers, main courses as well as desserts. My fiance and I shared the Hawaiian plate which gave us the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. Service was very quick as it only took about 5 minutes for our order to be ready. The Hawaiian plate came with a mac salad, side of white rice, BBQ short ribs, shredded pork and chicken with pineapple. It's hard for me to pick a favorite since I really enjoyed everything, it was well balanced and cooked perfectly. My fiance did mention his favorite was the chicken. I hope Flyin Hawaiian ends up being a regular at Mikerphone bc we would definitely order from them again!

I love that as soon as you enter, you are transported to a tropical oasis that is dark and moody. I visited with a larger group so we made a reservation before. One pays $5 per person in your group and the amount is later applied to your bill. The food menu is minimal and most items weren't available sadly. We got two orders of their pineapple salsa with taro chips. It was yummy but wasn't enough substance to match the drink levels. For drinks, our group got a wide variety. They have all sorts of flavor pairings to accommodate every guest. I got the Captain's Revenge after hearing the Pearl Diver was unavailable. It was good but not amazing. For my second drink, I got the Chocolate Banana Old Fashioned which I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't hear anyone in our group be disappointed with what they ordered. Our server, Jazmine, was very knowledgable about the menu and asking the right questions to make sure what we each ordered would be something we liked. Overall, this was a fun experience and I am happy I finally got to visit! My experience was slightly tainted with how much was not available the night we visited.

We ordered the Aloha Plate and chicken lumpia. The lumpia was soggy, super tiny and just wasn't good. The Aloha Plate was also much too sweet for my taste, and the meat felt pretty standard--similar to what I'd expect from a typical Korean BBQ meal. I usually love mac salad, so i was especially looking forward to that, but unfortunately, it was pretty underwhelming as well. The most disappointing was the service. And three smaller ones on the opposite side used to scan QT codes to check on orders. Food: The largest portions I've had from a Hawaiian take out since moving to Chicago two years ago. Very impressive! The rice was slightly on the dry side. Although I loved the large portion of the mac salad, there's way too much mayonnaise. Both Huli Huli and Honolulu chicken dishes were similar in taste. The base marinate seems to taste like the two teriyaki sauces that are packed. Both dishes are presented as cubed shapes. I imagine it makes it easier for production. Conclusion: I do recommend Hawaiian Bros if you are looking for large portions and sweet/savory flavors leaning towards teriyaki.
