Cute seafood and veggie cafe! Burritos are unique and you can "Poke Your Way"! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It did not disappoint. Thank you!!

We came here on a weekend early evening and had dinner in the small but nicely decorated restaurant. There are 6 tables available to sit at in the front and you order in the back with the large TV menus clearly explaining all the dishes. You order and pay first, and if you eat there, they will serve the food to you. The staff and owner were very friendly, and had added some items on the house which were greatly appreciated! They just opened one week ago and with all the people stopping by and getting take out already, it's sure to be a hit! The food itself was great. We got the starters of fried calamari which was honestly the best cooked (melt in your mouth and not chewy/over cooked) I've had in the area! We also enjoyed the sesame balls and the waffle fries. For entrees I loved that the sushi burrito was a great size and not overly filled with rice. The seafood we had was fresh and delicious. In total 3 starters, 2 entrees came to about $50 not including tip. Happy to see this new casual restaurant in the area and we will definitely be back!

2 regular bowls, and waffle fries, I've been here 10 times, and every time is just as good, very thankful for this business, God bless them

Excellent service, food, and experience. The owners take pride in their product and preparation. Whether I am eating in or taking food to go, the owners always add a special touch of some sort. Today we got a free order of sesame balls and the kids got ramune! Such lovely people and excellent food. This is a favorite of my family.

Appetizers/Sides

The food is always excellent. They have a wide variety of items to order. Probably our favorite Poke restaurant in the area.

SO YUMMY!!! The owner & staff are so friendly. Today was my second time there in the past 3 weeks (I will probably be back again this week ) because I cannot get enough of the crab & spicy crab. Every ingredient tastes fresh. Spring rolls were good too! I want this business to thrive/succeed so please give it a try!! You won't regret it. I already can't wait to go back

Pretty much the only game in town for Hawaiian style poke in the Bartlett area…read more Located behind Barrington Road, in a building shared with a Starbucks (with Drive-thru), so a lot of foot traffic, but the restaurant inside was not busy. It is the classic set-up, where you pick a base (usually rice) and the protein (usually raw fish), and enhance the texture and flavor by directing the counter person to add various toppings and sauces. The counter person was very friendly, giving us plenty of time to make our choice. She was also generous with the toppings, and I'm pretty sure she would have customized it anyway we want. The prep area was very clean, tidy, and organized, with each bin fully stocked with the prescribed ingredients. There is only one size, with one large scoop of fish and rice being the base, and it's plenty. Some toppings are extra: if you get the basic with tuna and no extra-costing add-ons, it is $12. I ended up getting a predefined bowl called the Da Kine (Marinated tuna) for $13, and it was good: nice mix of flavors and made it simple. Some differences from previous poke places we've been: -- they offer a sushi rice option, taking the same hot white rice, and squirting a sushi (vinegar and sugar) mixture on top of it. In my case, it didn't really add much. -- they have a premarinated tuna option, along with the unmarinated. Some places are now letting you choose your sauce spice mix first, and then marinating your protein choice for you right there. It's a bit more work, but I think it does add something worth it. The marinated tuna that I had was fine, but definitely lacked the absolute 'wow' when eating just freshly cubed ahi tuna. It looks like the Poke Bros are THE place for Poke all around Chicagoland, and they have found a good place to source their ahi and salmon (hopefully) daily, as good as can be expected this far from the ocean.

Good bowl! Similar options to most poke places. The sushi…read morerice was very hot, avocado was cubed nicely, they use black sesame seeds, the carrots are in sticks and cucumbers are in coins cut in half. The decor is cool, but the space was a little warm. My bowl had double crab and avocado and totaled $13.34, a bit more than a rival down the road. Good option in the northern part of Elgin heading into Dundee\Carpentersville.

HeLLo. This wiLL be an evoLving review. The Poke BowL is located where the former Gabutto Burger…read morewas once located for years. We miss Gabutto Burger. However, the decor is the same! I'm going to get right to it, we miss Gabutto Burger but are glad Poke is here! We are huge CAVA fans, ( Mediterranean ), so we really want to like PoKe. I want to talk about the soup. LoVe it! However, we are very worried about added preservatives and MSG. What is the complete ingredient list? The guy at the counter could NOT tell us, and he did not know the price of things. Regarding the bowls, the variety and selection were good. The ingredients tasted fresh. The rice was perfect. The Tuna and Salmon did not haVe a strong marinade, but that's fine. It tasted fresh. However, we were not sure on what was included in the bowl, so when the guy asked if we wanted a "FuLL Scoop" of Salmon, we said sure! Then, we were charged $10 more. WTF? The bowl tasted terrific, but it cost $25. That's a lot of money for some rice! In addition, we DO NOT like to be FORCED to giVe a 25% TIP!!! Again, WTF? Isn't that their job to put stuff in a bowl??? The first screen on the kiosk is a mandatory 25% TIP, and either you accept it or cancel the order payment. That's a F* hustle and not cool. Maybe a $1 or $2 tip is fair, but not $15! The counter guy was definitely amiable, of course he was, he was scoring a 25% TIP ( btw, that tip thing pisses customers off and they won't go back ). We definitely want to recommend this place if these issues are fixed: List ALL the ingredients in your SOUP ( which is awesome ) ( is this soup actually healthy? ), don't hustle customers for a huge tips, and be transparent on pricing! Bonus Suggestions: Offer a couple specialty Hawaiian drinks made in the restaurant ( like CAVA ), maybe a NATURAL Hawaiian Punch and a floral tea! Finally, haVe a rewards program !!! Here is advice a business consultant would charge you $1,000 for! Hope you use it.

DO NOT COME TO KOBE THEY CHARGE YOU A 18 SERVICE CHARGE…read more Went to Kobe to try it for the first time. Lived around the area so wanted to try it at least once. It looked super empty and kinda gave me a bad feeling. The food was great we did all you can eat. Sushi was great. The service was absolute GARBAGE. I CAN SEE WHY PEOPLE DONT COME HERE. The server was rude and rushed us to get something to drink. After we finished a first round of sushi he came back saying "Are you getting more sushi or not" and I said "yes, just finishing up my edemame". He leaves and came back after a minute and said "ready?" And snatched our paper as we were trying to hand it to him. At the end of it all we didn't receive refills on our drinks. We got our check and were charged a 18% service charge. I was confused. I can understand if for a part of 6 or more but it was only 2 of us. I asked hime and said "we do it to everyone not just you" and I said "okay I don't care if you do it to everyone you didn't let me know" and said "It was on the menu" and I said "it's not written on the all you can eat menu" and he then pulls out the regular menu and shows me at the end of it written in small text. Let me remind you its my first time and I never got to see the menu. They didn't let me take it off and just talked to the rest of his coworkers giggling. I will never return here because of this. All of them are on there phones not paying attention to anyone. That 18% was not deserved.

The atmosphere here is very casual. It's definitely not a fancy Hibachi Steakhouse... more of a casual Asian restaurant. Service was hit or miss. Our chef was a funny guy but the waitresses were very busy in gossip and it was hard to flag them down. Everyone was pretty polite, though. The food was good but not great. The soup was bland, but the salad was typical delicious Hibachi salad. The entrees were good but the proteins were a bit overdone and the noodles were slick with grease. Everything could have used more seasoning as well. The ice cream they gave us was a tiny portion and freezer-burnt as well. Considering I don't live in the area, I don't think I'd be back. Next time when I'm visiting family, I will try our typical spot for reservations. Not a terrible place but not worth the price.
