    Small Bowl
    Irene L.

Visited Atlantic Station on a Thursday and decided to stop by Poke Bar for a quick lunch. There was no line so I was able to walk in and order right away. I went with the small bowl which is more than enough for me - it consists of 1 serving of base, 2 proteins and 2 sides. I got white rice, with 1/2 salmon & 1/2 tuna plus twice the seaweed salad as my sides. For my mix-ins I added in corn, cilantro, cucumber, sweet onion, green onion, and edamame. I didn't end there.. had to sprinkle in some topping options of masago, crispy onion, crispy garlic, and of course topped it off with hot Cheetos crumbs. I went safe and did the house sauce which complemented the entire bowl really well but it was a bit too much sauce because by the time I got to the bottom of the bowl everything was drowning in sauce. Overall, service was quick and food was fresh. Plus they were jamming some K-pop music in there so really enjoyed my lunch experience here.

I came here with some friends on a Sunday night. The service was great and all the staff were very kind and patient. I ordered a small bowl and a tropical smoothie. It tasted good but I was pretty shocked at how small the portion size was. The smoothie was alright but tasted somewhat powdery and fake. Probably not going to come here again.

The food was a 10/10 and the boba was a 10/10 as well:)! Everything tasted amazing but the portions were very small. I've been to many poke bars but this one had VERY small portions and I said $18 for my bowl. Besides that the food and drink tasted amazing.

    Cute orange exterior

Done in an attractive orange and brick, the exterior of this Atlanta, Georgia eatery looks so cute! The interior, though, not so much. The Poke bowl I ordered here was quite bland, sad to say, and the portions of veggie add-ons were teeny tiny. I was surprised that there were so few of the standard poke offerings like wasabi peas, coconut flakes, and wanton strips/crisps. The garlic crisps and the crispy onions that were available as add-ons were tasteless, kinda meh, perhaps bc they had been ground so finely. I dunno. Even the jalapeños - instead of being sliced in the customary thin rounds - had been chopped into teeny bits; perhaps that's the authentic way, but I've not seen that style in any other of the Poke eateries and franchises that I've patronized up to this point. Bright spot: The owner is a very personable professional who has hired an equally cordial staff. My suggestion is that she add more poke fixins to the rotation and at least have her servers dole out a full spoon of each ingredient instead of 1/3 - 1/2 a spoon. The bowl was about $14, and Tbilisi serving spoons are quite small to begin with. Had the veggies been more flavorful, the unusually scant portions might've been more acceptable. Hopefully, things at Pole Bar will improve - the interior decor - particularly the flooring and the behind-the-counter appearance really need attention. Another bright spot is the offering of healthy and refreshing vegetarian smoothies, bubble teas, and other drinks. My daughter ordered the kale tonic, flavored with blueberries, and thought it was excellent! Many patrons were ordering the healthy smoothies and bubble teas. Once the poke bowl architecture improves here, maybe this eatery will see a boost in its poke bowl orders and an increase in the amount of satisfied customers.

This is a nice poké spot in Atlantic Station. The only issue is that you'd have to park either underneath the complex or at the Target parking lot. However, parking is free for 2 hours. This place does have a good variety of ingredients and sauces. You can build your own bowl and for a small it's 2 proteins. They have cooked fish options for those who don't like raw. You can get rice, spring mix, or some of both along with it. I'd say the portion size here is a bit smaller than some other places I've been to. They have bubble tea as well if you're looking for both in one stop. If you're a student, go on Wednesday because you get free bubble tea with a bowl purchase.

Front: Large poke bowl (4 proteins, 2 sides, $13.95) plus kale noodles ($1), avocado ($1). Back: Small bowl (2 proteins, 2 sides, $9.95).

I support the recent slew of restaurant changes at Atlantic Station. There are more healthy and/or interesting places to eat. They include Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, NaanStop, Pho 24, Salata, and now Poke Bar. Poke Bar opened September 3, 2019 in between Gyu-Kaku and NaanStop. It's been a nice addition to the neighborhood. Currently, this is Poke Bar's newest metro Atlanta location. This chain has grown fast. There are now 15 in the area. Only a few years ago (2016), there was just one (the original Atlanta Poke Bar in Sandy Springs). Poke Bar Atlantic Station has a new and fresh storefront. It's made of wood, which is different for an Atlantic Station tenant, and attractive. Inside, the space is small and simple with seating for about 25 customers. There's no outdoor/patio seating. It's set up much like other poke restaurants with an open prep kitchen serving made-to-order, highly-customizable bowls. The concept is simple, fresh, and healthy. Pricing is as follows: * Small bowl (2 proteins, 2 sides) - $9.95 * Medium bowl (3 protens, 2 sides) - $11.95 * Large bowl (4 proteins, 2 sides) - $13.95 If you've never been to a Poke Bar or poke restaurant before, you go down the ordering line, picking the ingredients you want, as a server assembles your bowl, just like Chipotle. You choose a base (white rice, brown rice, spring mix, kale noodles), protein (tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, shrimp, albacore, tofu, scallop, octopus; the fish is sushi-grade), mix-ins (assorted vegetables, pineapple), sauce, sides (cucumber salad, seaweed salad, imitation crab), and toppings (ginger, wasabi, masago, avocado, crispy onion, crispy garlic, furikake, sesame seeds, "special" spicy flakes, and more). Note there's a $1 upcharge each for kale noodles, avocado, and mango. For the avocado, you get a quarter of an avocado, sliced (typical restaurant upcharge for avocado). Everything is hand-mixed so what you get is a salad mainly consisting of diced raw fish, carbs, vegetables, and sauce. It's yummy. In addition to poke, this Poke Bar also sells bubble tea -- black milk, oolong milk, matcha, and taro -- for $4.50 per drink. They also have a Stubborn Soda fountain drink machine, not the run-of-the-mill Coke machine. Stubborn has creative flavors like black cherry tarragon and citrus hibiscus orange. Their sodas contain no artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, nor high fructose corn syrup. They sell Stubborn at $2.50 per soda (unlimited self-serve refills). If you have an Atlantic Station A-Card (free card for people who live or work in Atlantic Station), Poke Bar Atlantic Station will give you 5% off your total order. They use the Clover POS system and full itemized receipts are available online. I've tried a couple bowls so far and have been pretty happy with them. I will say if you get a large and some of the upcharged items like kale noodles and avocado, after tip and tax, you're looking at a $20 meal. It's not exactly cheap for what you get, but sushi-grade fish and avocado aren't cheap either. I had a large bowl for dinner one night and it did not fill me up. Poke Bar dices their fish into small pieces. I prefer bigger chunks of fish, but that's just a personal preference. I've tried most of the ingredients on the menu. I believe the kale noodles are wheat-based. Their taste and texture is on par with "standard" noodles so they aren't significantly different if that's what you are wondering (like I was). They're good. For proteins, my favorites have been the classics, the tuna and salmon. I tried the albacore and can't say I'm a fan. I prefer the softer, slimier texture of the tuna and salmon. I like the scallops too. They come pre-marinated in mayo. There are seven sauce options. You can sample if you're not sure which one you want. So far, I've tried the house sauce, which is soy sauce with ginger flavor, spicy mayo, sweet chili, wasabi shoyu (soy sauce with a hint of wasabi), and spicy house and all were fine. I don't feel strongly about one particular sauce. I'd default to the house. My fiancee likes the spicy mayo. The spicy sauces have a solid kick to them, even for people who like spicy food (like us). I can't review Poke Bar Atlantic Station without comparing it to Circle Poke (https://www.yelp.com/biz/circle-poke-atlanta), a poke restaurant that opened relatively recently nearby on Northside Drive (ground level of ARIUM Westside). Like Circle Poke and other poke restaurants around town, I think Poke Bar should offer a loyalty rewards program so you get free poke after so many purchases (maybe they already have one and I just didn't see it). Circle Poke's bowls also have better presentation (they're more meticulously prepared) and more generous portions. Finally, Circle Poke offers options like aburi sushi which is sushi that is flame-seared right in front of you. I think that's pretty cool. TL;DR - Poke Bar is good and one of the better restaurant options in Atlantic Station.

So this is like the basic poke bowl experience you would get if you were in the Asian countries. It's convince oriented, it's quick, efficient and customizable. I like how you can scale it up to your preferences. However wasn't the freshest or the finest of the sushi's ever. I liked it enough to recommend for a quick bite before you catch a movie or something. Literally zero wait time.

Small bowl (2 proteins, 2 sides)
    Daniel W.

Poke Bar is serviceable as one of the poke options in the O4W/Inman Park area. On the plus side, the service was excellent. The man preparing my bowl must have changed gloves 4 times during my order alone, so I had no concerns about cleanliness/freshness. Unlike some other reviewers, I had no qualms with the portion size. It seemed just right for the price point. That being said, I didn't find my bowl particularly flavorful. Perhaps a bit more sauce would have helped but typically you would get more from the fish. I would also prefer more ingredient choices and more flexibility within the pre-assigned "categories."

    Mango Salmon Lover

The best poke bowl I have ever had! I had the mango salmon lover bowl and it was to die for!!! 10/10 will recommend this place to everyone I know!

Nice to see a familiar brand from the West Coast. Same solid Poke that I have had at other locations. Fresh fish, good toppings make for a hearty and healthy bowl. I got the spicy mayo sauce this time which was much spicier than I thought, will avoid it the next time.

I love the combo of tuna and salmon, and I tend to go with their pre-selected options because the variety of toppings here is staggering, and a bit overwhelming! Once it was ready, I was given shoyu and yum yum sauce to accompany it. When I finally had the chance to eat my bowl, I was extremely satisfied. The flavors were bold and flavorful, and everything tasted fresh. It was so good that I told my husband about it, and he grabbed one for dinner. This spot is interesting because they have a kind of off-putting menu item or two that you just had to try. Sushi corn dog - This was exactly what you thought it would be LOL. It is a thickly built corn dog made with sushi and deep fried. The crust on it wasn't fried like hard tempura but maybe that was just because it was made with rice so it was a little more tender than crunchy. Had a sweeter flavor to it. Personally I probably wouldn't get it again but I'm glad I tried it. Tokyo fries - the fries were just fries with yum yum sauce. They came out good and crunchy but nothing major. Sushi donut - now if you haven't tried this, it was definitely good. It was in the shape of a donut which who would have thought sushi would be a donut lol. Unlike the corn dog, it wasn't fried and it was seasoned very well and tasted good. Although it did break apart very easily though, that's my only bad part about it, but that is nothing to do with the flavor!
