I have sadly been with Pointbank for 14 years. And since my wife passed away in 2021, Pointbank has reaped a multitude of money in their godless $30 overdraft charges that they inflict upon whom they call their customers and infliction choose to hurt to steal, kill and destroy as money is considered in the eyes of the Lord and they care not one spec of such dire warnings. I with no bills other than my home, utilities, and a DiscoverCard that had a revolving charge account attached to it. Hence the reason why they first denied me the $5000 loan and said I needed to get a letter stating that the account had been closed of which I provided them. . And after having provided what they Pointbank requested still denied me a $5000 pItaly loan. An iron endeavor not to hurt, but to only tell the truth to those and anybody foreign wide in this state of Texas, that if they choose to even consider doing business with Pointbank, whether short term or long-term to turn away quickly run to the nearest bank, no matter where it may be how closer how far it will surely be a far greater bank than Pointbank could ever be. In fact Pointbank's name needs to be changed to Pointless Bank of Texas. And I am so grateful that I have the luxury of ripping from these thieves, my membership and account, henceforth and forevermore! read more

How they hit you with late fees when the merchant fee hasn't even hit your account two hours later your deposit is riddled with absurd amounts of fees and that's after we've been banking with them through our small business for 9 years and Lisa who helped us open our store has seen and known that they are usually done after lunch and just to give you a idea of how much we have been charged over 4,000 dollars this year and we asked if they could help in anyway and we were told simply I can't believe that my bosses would not do anything for you and to shed some light on what Lisa's position is just a low tier position of Point Banks North Texas Regional Manager so I am not impressed at all by their claims of being a Bank that supports Small Business bc if you can't see that it's a reoccurring issue every week after we have been depositing our money at least 3 times a week in person and try to do anything to help that's why I believe they are a sham, fake as Monopoly money. Ps they do offer community coffee and popcorn though lol read more

Shey at the Flower Mound branch has been great help with my international wires on many occasions. She has been helpful with many issues. Great bank and great staff. read more

This is the worst bank I've ever experienced. There is NO customer service, they are incompetent and inattentive, and the manager at my nearest branch has no clue about either how to conduct banking business or how to respond to customers. I absolutely hate this bank. read more

you can't wire money from a business account?!? I called and they said you have to come into a branch to sign up for that service and it takes 7-10 days for approval. First you have to sit in line waiting for the office manager who is chatting on the phone. Oh, by the way, I moved to Austin and now live 4 hours away, so there's that. Terrible business services. Terrible trying to move money in the modern ways. PayPal doesn't recognize them either. already tried that. read more

The bank freezes accounts and account features in order to force customers to use their debit cards.

absolute WORST bank i've legit ever banked with. customer service is barely passable, the atm NEVER works no matter what location you go to. worst banking experience of my life. pointbank is a piece of shit read more

Just got off work and dealing with a pay card issue, just like a lot of reviews I had less than a sub-par experience. I don't want to call the woman racist but I don't know what else to say. I will not step foot in this place again. read more

The employees make the bank!!! Happy, competent and service-oriented. They call me by name - who does that these days? Thanks to Victoria and Axel in the Aubrey branch, from a very content customer. read more

Chantel at Denton South branch has been working with me to dispute a transaction. She has been so helpful in more ways than one. Technology can be so tricky. She help me figure out what I was doing wrong and did not make me feel like an idiot! We are now live in another state so everything is done online and through email. She is making the process less stressful. I highly recommend PointBank! read more

I've been with Point Bank for a very long time - and have multiple accounts with a significant amount of money. They used to be wonderful, with "personal banking." Now - they don't recognize me or my name. They have become so difficult that I am now looking for another bank. read more

Been with them for years, same great bank, same great management. The Denton North branch is known for training a lot of their tellers to send out to other locations. The head teller there Mel is fantastic, she's quick to fix anything and answer questions. Shes an absolute asset to their company! Love this bank, and they love my family in return. read more

The only bank I've seen with a Free Checking account that has no strings attached. I don't have to have a direct deposit, auto transfer, or a minimum balance. As long as I have .01 in my account, I will not be charged. I like going into a bank and them knowing my name as apposed to being customer #132. read more

Very disappointed in the way they handled a business loan situation. The lendee was told after a month of back and forth that they would receive a loan as long as a guarantor was found, and after the guarantor sent in their financial information, it was another 2-3 weeks before a committee denied the loan request. In a meeting with the president of the bank, the lendee was told that the bank would never have approved the loan in the first place and that the lendee must have "misunderstood" when they were told they needed a guarantor. The lendee lost 2 months worth of time and effort that they could have used to find alternative financing. As a small business owner, this outcome was pretty devastating. Because they are fans of supporting locally, they will be supporting another local bank with all business. read more

A family bank with christian values. Best bank in Denton county. Everyone is so helpful. Stop by today.

Zero stars! This is not a customer service bank! They only want the easy stuff like taking your money. The tellers are great but the managerial crew -forget about it! GO ELSEWHERE! read more

They don't open in time. Was standing outside the door so they can unlock the front door. They were ignoring me. Had to go to the drive thru. read more

they don't beleive in customer service anymore . they'll don't have tellers you have to you a atm for all transaction and if you want to cash through the atm and it rejects and you don't notice the bank doesn't even tell you they charge you a over draft fee for it. until you call and they don't refund you the charge. and the inside is only open from 9:00 am to 4:00 and when you call will even the the manager is rude when you question why she is going to charge you a fee when no one else has charged you before to transfer money. I miss the tellers being there at 7:30 instead of the stupid atm. read more

Banked here for years before making a switch to NorthStar. Night and day difference. PointBanks got so many stupid overlays that prevent you from moving money, depositing, cashing checks etc. I am no longer a customer of theirs but I do work for a company that uses them for their banking. When I get a check from the company I cannot even cash the check without going inside their lobby that closes hours before anyone gets off of work. A person has to take time off work and make a special trip to accommodate their overlays. I was a bank teller at another bank and cashed checks through the drive through everyday to accommodate our customers clients and workers. read more

Point Bank has been my banking home for over 20 years. If you believe in supporting local buisness, then support a local bank. They have taken great care of me and my family, and my business. read more

Service is obviously first at PointBank. You can even talk to the President of the actual bank. The technology and online services are surprisingly cutting edge. With their free checking products and streamlined online loan applications, not sure why anybody would bank anywhere else. read more

A true "community" bank filled with happy and helpful people! They are very serious about protecting your identity and security, but that's a good thing. Iif you have online banking you can deposit checks and move money around without issue. I even got my kid a piggy pal account and he is learning to save $$$ at 7 years old. Every time he fills up his free piggy bank and deposits it, he gets a prize! He loves it! read more

I have banked with PointBank for 22 years! I started out in Pilot Point with Virginia as my personal banker. When I walked in, I was a person that was important. If she couldn't immediately help me, she would call on someone else to. I work near the Pointbank on Carroll and went in a week ago and could not get something notarized because of the way it was printed. Went back today and there was one person in the lobby that could notarize at the moment and she was opening a new account which the last time I looked at my watch had been 15 minutes. Someone finally walked over and said she would be with me shortly but there was no one else in the bank that could notarize. Really? Isn't this a bank? And what are now called "relationship bankers" were in their offices with no one in there. Can they not notarize? I have insisted on keeping our family account at pointbank even though my husband has other accounts at another bank that offers more options. I will still do business with pointbank but NOT at this branch! I have NEVER had a good experience with them. Very unfriendly and... I'm sorry, Pointbank on Carroll....you are no Virginia Pelzel! read more

DO NOT BANK WITH THIS BANK. Here's why. I opened an account with them in early 2015 and closed it in early 2016. A few months after I closed it, I got a letter from a company called FiServe telling me that I owed them $5 for my online banking on my CLOSED ACCOUNT. I called FiServe and they were VERY rude and arrogant and basically told me this is what they do when someone closes an account. They acted like they did me a big favor by voiding the $5. I have done NOTHING wrong and was forced to spend nearly an hour on the phone this morning because of the greed of FiServe and Point Bank. Banking with Point Bank will only lead to a collections letter from FiServe, not to mention the people in the north Denton branch of Point Bank are rude. Bank anywhere but Point Bank. read more
