The park holds a lot of sentimental value for the city because it houses the Roger Williams statue and tomb. Personally, I appreciate how well maintained the park is and how peaceful it is. On warmer days, it can get a little busy, but it's a great place to relax. When I'm need of a little reprieve I like to bring my blanket and meditate on the grass. I also appreciate its location being so close to Brown and downtown Providence simultaneously. It's convenient and peaceful.

A beautiful and historic park with views of downtown Providence. It is located right on a hill and has the statue and tomb of Roger Williams with his hand out. There were benches and a small path throughout. A great place to picnic, watch the sunset, and just relax. The Rhode Island State House and Providence Place Mall can be seen from there. There is no parking lot just street parking. The houses nearby are historic. This was a frequent stop for author HP Lovecraft. No wonder it is called "The Jewel of the City".

I loved the unique bridges, all of them a different style and built in a different time. I couldn't get over just how cute some of them were and took so many pictures. The riverside feels pretty safe and was very clean. I noticed there were a lot of WaterFire fire thingies (I don't know what they are called) in the water and didn't realize the show was so large and that you could view a lot of it outside of Waterplace Park. The walk itself is easy and meanders in a nice way. It feels like an oasis away from the city. There are a lot of places to stop and sit if you want to take a rest or people watch. We stopped and sat a bench to have a drink and a snack, while we watched ducks and geese look for food. We also watched people riding gondolas float by with their charcuterie and wine.

This was dope! If you come downtown you have to visit the Riverwalk. It's a good time!!read more

We have a lot of great memories here, and even though we don't live nearby anymore, we still make the drive over some mornings just to get a walk in. It's one of those places that keeps drawing you back. I've always felt safe on the Boulevard. Whether I was out early in the morning, after work, or on a weekend, there's usually a steady mix of runners, walkers, cyclists, families, and people out with their dogs. It has a very comfortable, welcoming feel, and it's one of the prettiest places to get outside in Providence. The mature trees lining the path make it scenic in every season, but especially during the spring and fall. One thing I've always appreciated is how well the path is maintained. It's clean, the landscaping is kept up, and it's obvious people take pride in preserving it. Parking is also surprisingly easy. There are plenty of spots along Blackstone Boulevard itself and on the surrounding side streets, so we've never had trouble finding a place to park. The summertime is especially enjoyable. The farmers market is one of our favorite reasons to come back, and the food trucks make it easy to turn a morning walk into a fun outing. It's a great atmosphere, and there's always something going on without feeling overwhelming. If you have a dog, this is an excellent place for a walk. There's plenty of room, lots of friendly people, and it's easy to spend an hour or two just enjoying the neighborhood. Blackstone Boulevard has been part of our lives for years, first as our everyday walking path and now as a place we still make a point to visit. It's scenic, peaceful, well maintained, and one of my favorite places in Providence to get outside. Five stars without hesitation.

This is the 2nd busiest rail on the outskirts of Boston. There were benches under a large dome and a large clock tower. The customer service desks were placed along the perimeter; there were screens throughout showing the departure and arrivals. The location is central to everything; near the Providence Place Mall and RI State House. I've used this station numerous times now; I would take it to Boston. I've had good experiences.

The Amtrak Station Park was designed and built by Rhode Island Department of Transportation. In…read more2018, the Providence Parks Department assumed maintenance of the park. There are many benches to sit and nice paved paths to walk around. It's a small park, about a city block in size. In the Spring of 2020, the Park services added landscaping making it greener and more sustainable. This is a cute urban park where people can sit on the benches and wait for the MBTA or Amtrak passengers to meet them outside the station. It's located above the train parking garage.

It was really nice to be present, in the moment, and stumble upon a difference statue, plaque or structure to help memorialize history and the lives of people who were fighting for our country. It's nice that this park is also against the river. It feels like it's not in the middle of downtown, it's so peaceful.

Also, this park pays homage to the survivors. The landscaping was beautiful and there were walking paths throughout. The first sculpture I saw was the kneeling soldier in bronze; this was created as a Korean War Memorial. The second structure was massive; an obelisk with a statue standing on top, which represents peace. There were quotes at the base and steps. This was a memorial for Rhode Islanders who fought in World War I. There's also a Holocaust memorial, water fountain, memorial wall, and a large World War II sculpture with multiple columns. The park is adjacent to the river so it's nice backdrop. If you're in the city, I recommend checking it out.

From the parking area on Barbers Pond Road, hikers begin their adventure on the Loop Trail. Near to the shores of the Yawgoo, one can connect to the Founders Loop Trail. Both afford sweeping views of the pond and its lapping waters. I enjoyed this land immensely. It features a kettle hole bog, brook with bridge crossing, historic graveyard, incredibly tall white pine trees, and of course, Yawgoo Pond. The trail is very well maintained and easy to follow. South Kingstown Land Trust signs with clearly defined arrows mark the way along with colored blazes to keep you on track. In 2014, Troop 1 Kingston Eagle Scouts built a bridge that makes crossing the Mud Brook a breeze. The "stately" white pines were by far my favorite feature of the hike. Go experience the sounds of nature enveloping you as you quietly pad across beds of pine needles in the shade of these massive trees. You won't regret it.

If riding the ECG, it's a bit down hill on the way out and up hill on the way back. A small grocery and farm store is nearby if you need an deli sandwich, ice cream or cold drink. The ECG continues into CT along this little dirt path, that eventually widens into a vehicle width dirt path and further on is covered in crushed stone. So good for walkers or dirt bikers, but not for my road bike. Just FYI. Happy trails!

Very quiet, easy walking and mountain biking trail. Not much to see including other people. I was…read morethere on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and met 6 people while walking for over an hour. There is parking at the trail junction with the Washington and Southern bike trail. The first 100 feet of the trail is paved. The rest is not paved but mostly follows an old railroad grade so it is easy walking. At the end of the pavement there are three choices. Two are clearly marked as private property. The third which is not paved, has no markings at all. This is the one you want.
