Conveniently located, I found myself needing a break from shopping (and wanted a World Cup update)…read moreand Griffin Claw was the perfect solution for both. I sat at the bar where Mae very thoughtfully helped me navigate through the extensive been menu. I was very impressed at the selections! She brought me three tasters and, honestly, each of them were fantastic. It seems fitting that I chose a pint of Conflict of Interest in the midst of a difficult decision! The food menu is just as impressive. I'm certain anyone can find a favorite. I ordered the blackened chicken gnocchi and found myself in flavor heaven. I've made and eaten a lot of gnocchi and this is easily the best I've ever had. Mae agreed with me and suggested it's because there's cheese in those potato pillows. I dunno but I would eat this every day if I could. If I thought they'd keep, I'd buy extra and take some home. Meanwhile the bar crowd was friendly and chatty as we watched soccer on a few TVs. It was pretty chill, everyone just kicking back with great beer, tasty food and a worldwide sporting event. That said, I'm not waiting four years to come back!

Consistently good each visit! Staff, ambience, food and drink!…read more Love the wait list option with Yelp. Getting a table is always easy and quick. Sat outside most recently and brought our toddler. She got to run around and explore. The fineapple cider on draft is my favorite and so refreshing. Menu wise has so many options. We went with the beer bites and cheese. The food cane out hot and the cheese is so good with the pretzels. The kids grilled cheese was a big size and tasty. Love the shoestring fries. So impressed with all of their drinks they make in house. Came another time for dinner with a friend to catch up. A large group took over the dining room. Stayed way past they were done with their food and drink. They stayed 5 hours and disrupted the restaurant. Our waitress gave us a small discount for how annoying these people were. She said staff were even over them.

Paid for a lifetime membership because we were excited about the new brewery. Unfortunately, the service is very consistently pretty bad. The beertenders almost never come over by even when it's slow, if they say they will be back in a minute - they probably wont be back, and the beers are often half full in the mugs when you have specific beertenders. There is one AMAZING worker, Jason. He is attentive, always helpful, quick and manages the bar fantastically. I do regularly have issues with another specific employee/manager, a woman who's name begins with a T. She has been there since day 1 and service remains poor, always with a little bit of attitude. Clarice is good at blend ideas, sometimes blending a beer just makes it that much better. I wish so bad that they would bring back the dart/ring toss spot in the back to play games. Very wasted space back there now and it was always fun to play back there. Love the patio space with shade. Love the event space and events. Tad loud on live music nights, but thats to be expected. I wiah you guys hosted art fairs like Baffin and Urbanrest! They have non alcoholic options in the cooler and liquor for cocktails now, which is a perk! Naturally, we will remain regulars. :)

She explained the Mug program to me where you purchase a mug and they keep it there for you so when you go, you get to resuse your mug. The beer was good, tried a flight. They don't have food but have a food truck outside.

This restaurant is a fantastic addition to Schoolcraft College's campus…read more Located inside the VistaTech Center, the Craft Grille is a bar-style restaurant that serves student-brewed award-winning beer and complementary food. The food always tastes fantastically fresh, and the beer hits the spot. I've had the reuben (so tasty) but the grilled chicken sandwich really absolutely blew me away. I didn't know it could make me so happy. On this occassion, I ordered the half-size caesar salad with grilled chicken, and I could feel happy and content that I'd gone the healthier route while still treating my tastebuds. Also, as if to go above and beyond in service, I had a nearby meeting and placed my take away order before my meeting kicked off, telling them what time I expected to be done. When my meeting finished? A freshly made lunch was waiting for me. Magical. Game changing. So happy. The only caveat I could say that it has a very small seating area, and, depending on whether or not there are conference-type events in VistaTech, it can get very busy very quickly. For that I would potentially knock it down to a 4.5 star, but the food and beer quickly makes up for it. So happy to see these kinds of food offerings to Schoolcraft's campus. They've done a stellar job, and it'd be nice to see them expand.

We were chatting about great restaurants and sharing recommendations when this restaurant came up…read more It was already on my to-go list, so the conversation compelled me to visit even earlier. Craft Grille operates out of Schoolcraft College at Vistatech Center, and is located right next to American Harvest, another favorite restaurant of mine. The Brewing & Distillation Technology program creates the brews here, and I believe the food is cooked by students. On a Tuesday evening during the summer, the main parking lot was ripped up and closed off during construction, but I still found my way to the small pub underneath all the scaffolding. A ballgame was playing on the TV while the bartender was chatting with the sole guest at the bar. I knew that I would be having the Porto in Paradise Burger, but I still glanced at the menu to see what was available. Everything looked good and next time, I plan to have the BLT, wings, and parfait flight. The burger I ordered was served medium-rare, featured an 8oz steak patty, topped with a portobello mushroom, and Boursin and provolone cheeses. It was accompanied by a mound of the most amazing sage and roasted garlic fries. I did not expect to like the fries as much as I did. Service was fantastic. The bartender responded to my questions and kept the conversation going with the guests (now 3 of us) at the bar.
