Nothing like seeing full sized examples to get the creative juices flowing! The staff was very helpful as my wife was looking for patterns and fabrics to work with. They also gave some helpful hints to her that she appreciated. She ended up buying quite a bit so that she could be set for a few new quilts including material for two different color schemes for the same pattern. We live nearly two hours away, so we didn't have any machine issues to remedy or classes to sign up for, but they do offer both services. I got just what I wanted, quickly. A much better experience than the chain stores for fabric which are quick but without the rich variety of choices found here. Downfall is simply that Waynesville is likely a bit out of the way for many. But plan ahead and make a day of it by visiting the many antique and decor shops in town. They then helped to find a comparable fabric that would stand the test of time. And it has! Their vast selections are high quality and of patterns and types that you can't find at other fabric stores. Prices are fair for your selections, whether high-end or as basic as denim. And they HAVE given me recommendations for quality seamstresses who can make sure their beautiful fabrics turn out as you would expect.
