Excellent selection, prices and service. They often ship by USPS the day after the order is made or very soon thereafter, for very quick turnaround, the best I've encountered. Very helpful and friendly with customer service, best I've encountered there, too. Some of us make scrap quilts, so unlike almost every other store, they have fat quarters and are willing to cut 1/4 yard., so the cost is considerably less than at stores that require 1 full yard. Highly recommend this fabric store! read more

Super helpful. Ask for advice and get ideas. Plan for plenty of time to brows and consult with folks that have seen and done it all with reupholstering etc etc. read more

Fabric Shack Stores - Helpful!! - Fabric Stores Near Me - Waynesville, Ohio

Google and Apple Maps say this location is open. It is not. It is now online only. Not their fault--they have a sign on the door explaining they have tried to fix it. Still, disappointed I drove all the way here. read more

I love, love, love visiting Fabric Shack! Absolutely a wonderful place to find fabrics for virtually any project. Pricing is great and fabric selection is wonderful. If these points aren't enough, the folks working here are fantastic-- warm, friendly, helpful. If I had to pick one thing I would change, I would add a classroom so that I could go and take classes or maybe, attend a sip and sew afternoon. read more

What was once a pillar of the quilting community has been reduced to a cold unresponsive warehouse. I live 15 minutes away and it took me 6 days to receive my order. I mentioned that I would gladly pick it up instead of shipping and no response. I've sent messages and no response. I can get faster shipping elsewhere. I want to support my local quilt shops that support their local quilters and the Fabric Shack is no longer interested in their local customers. I need to see the fabric in person and be inspired not browse online. I once was honored to have a quilt I made be featured on their walls but at this point I'm looking for a new home quilting store that interacts with their quilters and isn't just a faceless online business. I miss the ladies of the old fabric shack and their support! A online quilting store with no support is just a cold bland website with no inspiration. I'll be in Loveland with real people and real fabric and not online pictures with no response to questions and 6 day shipping 15 minutes down the road. read more

This is my new all time favorite fabric store! I loved all of the options that were provided to choose from and how organized the store was. There were also a lot of fabric bundles to pick through and if you head next door to the annex you will be pleased to find beautiful fabrics on sale! I also loved seeing one of my favorite fabric companies Rifle Paper Company! They had a lot of variety from that specific brand! I definitely recommend you stop in if you are a lover of all things fabric! read more

I had the most disappointing experience the past few days. A long time fan, I've told countless friends about this gem in Waynesville. This past Saturday I was grateful to have associate Ellie (sp?) immediately share my enthusiasm for a particular look, we easily spent more than an hour searching. When I found just the right fabric for my dining chairs, the buyer approached with indifference and condescension and icily said, "it's probably out of stock. I will call Monday and let you know." The book the fabric was in had the manufacturer name messily ripped off so I was unable to search over the weekend to even get a sense for cost, let alone availability. But I want to give local businesses my money so was completely on board waiting for the shop to help me get this fabric. Toward the end of the afternoon Monday, I hadn't heard so I gave the shop a call. Here's how the conversation went: Me: "Hi, I'm checking to see if you were able to see if the fabric I found is available?" Assoc: "No. It's out of production." Me: "Shoot. Can you help me find what may still be out there even if they're no longer making it?" Assoc: "No. We can not get it." Me: "Hmm. Then can you tell me the manufacturer name do I can try to find it?" Assoc: "No. That is proprietary information and we will not give that to you." Me: "So you're telling me you will not help me find it nor will you let me find it?" (She hands it over to the icy buyer who aggressively talks over me repeating the proprietary information part as if I have been rude or expressed some intention of taking money from him.) Me: I have been a very loyal customer for years. I was in the store for quite some time Saturday and this was the only fabric you have that will work. So at the moment, you've already lost this sale because you're telling me you won't help. Your attitude is making it so that you'll lose a customer for life. Him: There is no attitude. I'm protecting my business. I will not share proprietary information. There is no attitude. I'm protecting my business. I will not share proprietary information. There is no attitude. I'm protecting my business. I will not share proprietary information. What a bummer. :( read more

This is hands-down my favorite fabric shop, anywhere. I live in Columbus, but my mom and I often stop by when traveling to or from Tennessee or Cincinnatti. It's always worth the visit. There's not much ambiance, but man... the FABRIC. There's EVERY current collection in here, in EVERY colorway. HUGE selection of Moda Bakeshop goods (my favorite). Amy Butler, Kaffe Fassett, modern, 30's, traditional, holiday, batiks, flannel, Civil War, EVERYTHING. If it's not here, you probably won't be able to find it. The book and pattern selection is great too. There's something in here for every kind of quilter, no frills. I have this fantasy where I've finished ALL of my quilt projects and I walk into Fabric Shack with a clean slate and just go nuts. As it is, though, I'm on a fabric-buying ban until I finish up what I've already started! Fabric Shack also has a relatively extensive online presence. Support this shop! It's fantastic. read more

Service was great! I had a problem applying a gift certificate to my online order and Teresa was super helpful. She was courteous, responsive, and friendly. Although the online shopping experience was OK, it is nothing like going into the store to shop. Being able to place fabrics side by side when building a project, touching the fabric, talking to the staff, and seeing what new products and fabrics are on the shelf. I am so very sorry Fabric Shack is now online only. It used to be one of my "feel good" destination trips. That is the only reason for the 4 vs 5 star review. read more

I've been sewing masks for the last 18ish months and constantly look for fun fabric. Fabric Shack not only has fun, quality fabric but also is constantly adding new stock. Their shipping and delivery are consistently fast. I've placed over 20 orders and haven't been disappointed even once. They've become my go-to, and who I compare other fabric stores to (who usually seem to not measure up to the same standard). read more

I recently visited the Fabric Shack, after looking at Joann for upholstery fabric for my couch. The fabric selection is amazing! Gail asked me several questions about my project before making suggestions. She urged me to take my time before making a final selection. I appreciated this, as I tend to rush into things simply to get the task finished. Gail's follow up has been prompt. Great experience! read more

The Best Quilt Store Ever! I'm so sorry they've closed the store and have gone all online because of Covid. The store had a great staff. But their selection and prices are still wonderful, and their free shipping and amazingly fast service are excellent read more

I am so glad I found The Fabric Shack online. They ship so fast and only charge half the rate for priority mail. I have been very pleased with the quality and selection of the fabric. I will continue to order online from them....they have the best Kona Solids selection online including the wide back colors. Their prices are competitive. Thank you Fabric Shack!!!! read more

It is great to go in the store but I also want to compliment how fast the shipping is! I need fabric very quickly for a last minute quilt for a wedding and with regular shipping ($2) it arrived in Columbus two days after I ordered it. Lots of fabric stores will take two days to get the fabric into the shipping envelope! I was really impressed. Plus they have lots of great on line clearances, great deals. The store is a dream in person if you are a cotton fabric addict they carry more lines than I have ever seen in person. read more

Just went back to this store (three years after first visit) and it is as wonderful now as it was before (still best selection of quilting fabric I have ever seen in one place). You cannot beat the prices for retail and fabric on sale is a real bargain. read more

First time to fabric shack. Great value on fabric. A lot of variety. I will probably make special trips up to Ohio to just run by this shop.

I visited all three Fabric Shacks. The main store, annex, and sister store specializing in fabrics for home decor. I loved the selection and service in all three. read more

Largest collection of fabric I have seen within driving distance of Cincinnati. Lots to choose from with regards to range of modern and traditional fabric. Super impressed and will certainly be back in the near future. Don't judge a book by its cover. You will be surprised when you walk in at how much they have to offer. read more

Love Fabric Shack great selection great employees. I can always find something I want.

I lost 220 USD due to my packages were stolen at post office and Fabric Shack don't assume responsability about this. Please note, be carefull with your orders, this company doesn't be care with their clients. read more
