I had an extremely disappointing experience. I arrived…read moreexcited to take my 45 minute lesson. 15 minutes was a consultation and half hour was to be a paid lesson. I booked this lesson early on in the week, for Saturday September 19 at 12 noon. Ava music contacted me and asked to change the time to 11. This was an inconvenience but I made it work. Upon arrival my instructor claims she doesn't have the book she needs in stock and that I'll only be doing a consultation. This lack of professionalism upset me. I asked why the book she needed wasn't here. They had one week to prepare for my lesson. Instead of neutralizing the situation she blamed me. Claiming I booked the lesson last night and she didn't have enough time. FALSE. I booked it 5 days ago. I corrected her and was offended that she blamed me instead of taking responsibility. Extremely unprofessional. I wouldn't give them my business.

Sales person was extrely rude, I was interested in a Taylor guitar used…read more And really liked the sound of it , but this guy ( older guy) came and crab the guitar from me and told me , I had to ask him for assistant . When I told him , there wasn't any note on it , he said there are all over the store , but not that one . He lost a 3k sell . I went to long and Mc and bought a D18 Martin For 3999$ . even if I was wrong , he could have been much more accommodating I am a service engineer and I sm always nice to my customers even when they are wrong .

Be careful when you bring them something in for repair. I once bought a rare new Rickenbacker…read moreDakota solidbody guitar from them and one pickup stopped working so I brought it in for repair. When I inquired about it they said they sent it back, never to be seen again. Rickenbacker replacement pickups can be ordered. Another time I bought a new Firebird and it had fret sprout and they said they would fix that. It seemed to take forever and when I finally got it there was a ding in the back that wasn't there before. I brought in a keyboard for repair and they lost the case for the soundboard that was installed in the keyboard. When you bring something in for repair, bring it in bare bones, no strap, strings accessories in the case or they might lose them.

I'm sort of shocked at how bad the reviews for this place are. I'm not saying those experiences…read morearen't valid since they sound legitimate, but I've had good experiences so far at this location and have always had people who were willing to take time to patiently explain to me, a lay person, what I needed to know even when I'm doing things that don't generate a commission (like trying to set up something I ordered and paid for at a different store and had shipped here). I wish I made a note of who helped me so I could give them a shout out. My experience is with what I guess they call "Pro Audio & Recording" gear, maybe different departments are different or maybe I've just been lucky so far.
