Solid Movers - we move pianos too!

Solid Movers

Solid Movers was a Solid Dissapointment!…read more I called Marcel 2 weeks before our move and booked 2 men to unload our Uhaul. I chose them specifically because they had some good reviews on here, and he seemed nice enough when I spoke to him on the phone to book a date with him. I felt like it was a done deal when he told me I was in his book for the date and time agreed upon. The day before the move I received no confirmation call, but we were so busy with the loading of the truck and the many hour drive here. We arrived well after 2AM in the morning, and Solid Movers was supposed to show up that morning to unload our truck. I texted him at 7AM after almost no sleep on my part to confirm what time he was coming. When I received no call or text from him I got nervous that he might pull a no show. And what do you know? He pulled a no show. Wow. Really super unprofessional. I texted and called him a couple more times, to zero response. Bad, bad, bad. This is not the way to run a business.

Looking for a mover? Keep looking. It's not worth trying to book. He maybe good when he shows up…read morebut taking a chance on him not showing up, happens. Just like Stacy, he flaked out on our moving appointment. I can't imagine how often this happens for people that don't get on Yelp to let other people know. It would be forgivable to cancel due to being sick, 24 hrs before. I get it and will deal with it. I wouldn't like it but at least I have time to get the move covered. I called and his phone was turned off, voicemail was full and no call at all. A teenage boy does this kind of cowardly act on his first job, again, forgivable because they're young. This is a grown man, running a business. Needless to say, I called and got Rogue Valley Movers to help me out. They showed up and saved the day. I was on a schedule and Marcell left me out to dry. Not even a call: WOW! If I could save someone the stress that this causes, I did my good deed. Moving is already stressful, why take a chance?

I wish I could give a warning label instead of a star rating for my experience with Almighty…read moreMovers. I truly hope this review helps another family avoid what happened to us. We hired Almighty Movers for a confirmed move on November 22, 2025. The owner, Justin, personally confirmed the night before at 4:50 p.m. that a 4-man crew would arrive between 8:00-8:30 a.m. the next morning. He knew from my earlier email on November 13 that we had only three days to complete our move after our home closed on November 19, and that we had to be out that day to meet a strict contractual deadline. There was no flexibility at all, and he accepted the job with full understanding of this. One hour before the scheduled arrival time, I received a text from Justin that said: "Move will need to be postponed until Sunday. Hope that's okay." There was no phone call, just a text. I called immediately because postponing was not possible. He did not answer. I texted back explaining we had a hard deadline and needed the crew that morning. He replied briefly that he was "on it" and trying to find a smaller crew. That was the last communication I received. He did not return my call. He did not provide an update. No one ever arrived. At 10 a.m., after receiving no information at all, I asked for my deposit back. It was refunded through Venmo, but I received no message confirming the refund or acknowledging the situation. Communication simply ended. Because the cancellation happened with only one hour's notice, and because the company was fully aware of our immovable timeline, my husband and I were forced to complete the entire move ourselves -- including all packing, furniture, boxes, and garage/outdoor items. This was roughly 36 hours of professional labor we had to replace in a single day. I have lupus, and the physical strain triggered a severe flare. I was unable to work the following Monday, resulting in lost wages, along with significant physical pain and stress. The entire reason we hired movers and were willing to pay the $2,500 price tag, was because of my health limitations, and being abandoned like this caused us tremendous hardship. On November 25, I emailed the company with a detailed description of what happened and offered 14 days for a reasonable resolution. I received no response of any kind. I have since learned through the Oregon Department of Justice website that this is not the company's first complaint, something I truly wish I had known before hiring them. As someone who has worked in real estate, I understand how critical reliability is during a move, and I have notified colleagues so they can help protect their clients. I cannot imagine this happening to an elderly couple or someone without the physical ability to complete an entire move alone. I have filed formal complaints with: * Oregon Department of Justice * ODOT Household Goods Movers Enforcement * FMCSA * BBB My hope is that sharing my experience prevents another family -- especially someone medically vulnerable -- from going through what we endured.

I was desperately searching and asking friends for good movers, meanwhile I tried craigslist I found advertisement of Fuson Moving, I spoke to owner lady named Mindy (I don't know spellings are correct or not :)) her explanation and price quote was pretty nice and acceptable for me. She was really flexible on schedule even quoted that she can send movers at Eleventh hour. I was a bit reluctant because of scams and other stuff in my mind. Then I checked their Yelp profile and there was only one but excellent review about them. Finally I decided to go with Fuson Moving for my move from Ashland to Talent. Jim (Co-owner) and an other co-worker reached in time and started my move, they were real professionals for a move and had every thing required for a move with them (tools, blankets etc.) They were willing to do whatever I said even I requested them to dump mulch (spread all over in my backyard) they didn't deny, helped me in that (even I was feeling its not their job, that is why I willingly offered them good tip on top of their wages). Both guys were really fast and hard working and they moved my two bedroom apartment stuff within 3 hours and 15 minutes (included loading from Ashland and Unloading to Talent according to my recommended settings in new home). They charged me $130 better than spending $260 - $400 move with any other mover (a friend of mine recently spent $400+ with another mover for same sort of move from Ashland to Talent, though the mover brought his own truck). I rented out Uhaul 20 feet truck costs me $60 and $5 for Gas in truck. So my move was less costly for me than expected (Total charges for 2 bedroom move 195 + Tip). I really recommend this moving company. Good job Mindy good job Jim; two thumbs up!
