I'm coming back to update my review because of the result.of the move. Alicia is a tetris master. I…read moredrove from Medford Oregon to Huntington Beach, CA and NOTHING shifted during the move. That is amazing.

I wish I could give a warning label instead of a star rating for my experience with Almighty…read moreMovers. I truly hope this review helps another family avoid what happened to us. We hired Almighty Movers for a confirmed move on November 22, 2025. The owner, Justin, personally confirmed the night before at 4:50 p.m. that a 4-man crew would arrive between 8:00-8:30 a.m. the next morning. He knew from my earlier email on November 13 that we had only three days to complete our move after our home closed on November 19, and that we had to be out that day to meet a strict contractual deadline. There was no flexibility at all, and he accepted the job with full understanding of this. One hour before the scheduled arrival time, I received a text from Justin that said: "Move will need to be postponed until Sunday. Hope that's okay." There was no phone call, just a text. I called immediately because postponing was not possible. He did not answer. I texted back explaining we had a hard deadline and needed the crew that morning. He replied briefly that he was "on it" and trying to find a smaller crew. That was the last communication I received. He did not return my call. He did not provide an update. No one ever arrived. At 10 a.m., after receiving no information at all, I asked for my deposit back. It was refunded through Venmo, but I received no message confirming the refund or acknowledging the situation. Communication simply ended. Because the cancellation happened with only one hour's notice, and because the company was fully aware of our immovable timeline, my husband and I were forced to complete the entire move ourselves -- including all packing, furniture, boxes, and garage/outdoor items. This was roughly 36 hours of professional labor we had to replace in a single day. I have lupus, and the physical strain triggered a severe flare. I was unable to work the following Monday, resulting in lost wages, along with significant physical pain and stress. The entire reason we hired movers and were willing to pay the $2,500 price tag, was because of my health limitations, and being abandoned like this caused us tremendous hardship. On November 25, I emailed the company with a detailed description of what happened and offered 14 days for a reasonable resolution. I received no response of any kind. I have since learned through the Oregon Department of Justice website that this is not the company's first complaint, something I truly wish I had known before hiring them. As someone who has worked in real estate, I understand how critical reliability is during a move, and I have notified colleagues so they can help protect their clients. I cannot imagine this happening to an elderly couple or someone without the physical ability to complete an entire move alone. I have filed formal complaints with: * Oregon Department of Justice * ODOT Household Goods Movers Enforcement * FMCSA * BBB My hope is that sharing my experience prevents another family -- especially someone medically vulnerable -- from going through what we endured.

Sam's Moving - They didn't wrap very much stuff in boxes, except for dishes.

Our experience from start to finish with Sam's Moving from Central Point, was unprofessional and I…read morecould not in good conscience ever recommend Sam's Moving to anyone else. We were looking for a moving company who would pack our entire 3-bedroom home and load everything into two PODS. We went with Sam's Moving because they seemed pretty inexpensive, but it was a bad experience from beginning to end. I couldn't tell at first if they just seemed really unprofessional, or if it was just that it was more of a small, family-owned company, but it was clearly unprofessional. They came and made an estimate of $1000 and said it wouldn't come anywhere near that. Sally (one of the owners) and her daughter were the packers, and they did a horrible, unprofessional job. It took them 12 hrs to pack most of our 3-bedroom home. I say most, because they didn't even finish, and didn't even start on the garage. They didn't wrap a lot of stuff in the boxes, they just emptied bathroom drawers into medium sized boxes, and it was a mess upon arrival. The packing job was horrible. The guys who came to load did a pretty decent job, but they were unprepared (didn't have boxes, tape, shrinkwrap) and the entire garage still had to be packed. Even though they had a ton of furniture pads leftover that they didn't use, they didn't wrap everything, so a lot of our furniture (especially a really nice baby crib) got some major nicks and scratches (something that never happened the two other times we were moved by Bekins). They charged me for fees that they didn't tell me about when we first booked them. And they were going to charge me more for a Square card reader fee because their card reader was broken. I was going to be charged because their reader wasn't working - and that made sense to them. I would highly recommend going with ANYONE other than Sam's Moving. Very Disappointed!!! Two guys showed up and were only around for an hour. Wanted to reschedule…read morebecause the burn pile was getting to them. We put that out as quickly as possible. One of the guys was "feeling sick" from asthma issues and both had to leave because they came together. I understand having medical issues but if you know you have asthma (and move furniture as a job) bring an inhaler with you. No word from them after they left. Had to call another company to come and finish the job. The company was recommended by the realtor that we bought our new house from. We will be spreading the word to her also.
