We contracted with PODS to deliver two containers to our home in Boise from CA. They were delivered by two separate drivers. One of the drivers was not able to open the roll up PODS container door and told us he was taking the container to the office in Boise and for us to contact them in the morning. We drove there the next day to find the office closed but after banging on the window, one of the staff members opened the locked door and helped us. He found out that our second container was delivered to the Caldwell office 40-min away. He told us the driver that had dropped the second POD off was new and didn't understand how to get the door opened. When we arrived at the Caldwell office they told us the same and immediately opened the door. We had to call the 800# to reschedule delivery which took 10 more days. We asked PODS to consider waiving the delivery fee of $189 and were told they'd consider it once the second POD was re-delivered. But of course today we received an email from them stating they didn't breach their contractual agreement and they delivered the second POD; end of story. We don't agree with this assessment, however, aren't going to let a $189 fee go to collections although we'd win in small claims court if we went this route. We're just sorry they're too big an outfit and have too much business to be considerate of the error they made. read more

Customer service isn't local and have been put on hold for multiple hours during various calls. Service agents are not helpful in rescheduling and the only excuse is that it's a busy season and drivers are limited. We had confirmed our pick up time 3 times to be June 24th and the day of, they moved it two weeks out to July 9th. Very disappointing experience and has made this move difficult. Please read other reviews, we wish we researched better and used local. read more

Horrible service! PODS had 2 containers of our stuff from Jan 2021 to August 2021. We contacted them a month before and told them our delivery date. We were on the phone for an hour with someone who did not seem to know what they were doing. A week before we called to check in (why we had to call I do not know) and they said "oh one of the PODS is still in OR" Why we do not know, no one really cared, no supervisor, no manager. We filed a claim as we were told to do since it was delivered a week later. NO ONE has responded to any of our emails. We are still trying to figure out what the extra $1700 charge was for. What a joke of a company... do not use PODS! read more

PODS has provided our family with OUTSTANDING customer service, and we would recommend that anyone use them either for a move or for a storage situation. We recently moved from Los Angeles to Caldwell, Idaho, and we used PODS instead of movers. We could not be any more satisfied. This company does what it says it will do. When we needed to adjust our pickup or delivery times, they were so helpful and accommodating. They confirm the time the night before, and the drivers also communicate when they are on their way. They show up EXACTLY when they say they will be there, and the drivers are absolutely outstanding. This company has gone above and beyond in every way! Also, we are so happy to say that even with a long distance move, we have not found one thing broken or ruined, including our fine china and crystal. We wholeheartedly recommend PODS and would absolutely use them again! read more

Pods has the WORST customer service of any company I have ever dealt with! DO NOT USE THEM. I have hours & hours logged into trying to get help from customer service over multiple problems from broken items in my yard from a driver backing into to mostly several charges withdrawn from my account over & over without my consent. I no longer have any business with PODS however they still have my credit card info on file and have stolen $$$ from my account and said it was a "computer glitch" and it would be deposited back...........The money has not been returned!! Every time I call to get a resolution I get a different story and stalling technique. This is all at a corporate level and has nothing to do with the local Idaho office. However, the company in general is a complete disaster and not trustworthy. Only use them if you don't mind money missing from your bank account!! read more

This place is an absolute JOKE. We used them to move us to California and a month later had to move back to Idaho and they charged us 4x the amount. Then they lost our PODS for 9 days. Leaving us with nothing in an empty house. They offered to refund us $100 a day for lodging and food. Not sure what planet they live on where you can have a hotel stay for 3 people and breakfast lunch and dinner for $100.00 A NIGHT FOR 9 days? We have yet to see this refund and we have called at least 50 times and it's been 3 months. Absolutely not ok. They are suppose to call you back within 72 hours and we have never had a phone call once. We really should be getting a full refund of the $4100.00. DO NOT use this company ever. read more

Yeah it is a littleb expensive per month compared to the storage places, but the coolest thing about the PODS system is that they bring everything to you. We just unloaded our PODS after being in limbo for 4 months trying to buy various short sales. Alas nothing is working out so we are moving into a rental. They guy in Boise gave us such a deal to unload our PODS over Christmas! They delivered on Thursday and gave us over the holiday to unload. All done with time to spare. read more

This review is for the (corporate) customer service and overall value. The pod itself was as expected and the people delivering on both ends were friendly and normal and one guy even declined a tip saying it was not allowed. My problem with Pods is they seem to be inherently dishonest about pricing and delivery. I was quoted a price then once the pod was in their warehouse the price changed in their favor, saying the price I was quoted expired (within a week of it being quoted, which the person who took the order never mentioned) and then delivery took 2 weeks longer than promised (they blamed peak moving season, once again never mentioned at the time of scheduling) and that meant sleeping on the floor with 2 kids for 2 weeks. Then they screwed even that delivery date up & when I demanded compensation after several weeks someone in the Florida office offered $50 (what a joke, we gave these guys several thousand dollars) but the real kicker is before they give you the $50. you must sign a document saying you will not give a poor review on yelp or other outlets. I declined the $50 and plan to warn everyone about this company. I heard they are owned by the Koch brothers which makes me sick I used them to begin with. read more

Dear Mr. Soliz, Attn.: PODS Idaho Market Manager I wanted to reach out and give you my personal review of our recent experience with your company and it's service. We just made a huge move (at least for my wife and our family) from Peoria, AZ to Nampa, ID. So, why did we choose PODS? Well, it was not because you are the most economical of moving services. We found many of the companies are similar with pricing and services. We were looking for a company that we could call at anytime and speak to someone we could communicate with and be familiar with our case/move. So, once we were in your system that became much easier after we had spoke to several of your agents we were able to finalize our move. What we discovered in using your company's services is that your personnel and especially the POD drivers from both sides of our move were very professional and personable which is very important to us. People focus just on price and that is important, but for us it is also about being treated as a valued customer and knowing that we were trusting you (PODS) with our most important belongings that we have built together over many years. Our move was enjoyable and your personnel and especially your drivers truly delivered on service and peace of mind that things would be worry free during our move. KUDOS to your TEAM and your company for employing competent caring employees. Thank you. Sincerely, R137151489F read more

I had to move. I called pods and they solved my situation. 2pods were sent at the promised time. They were loaded and were picked up before the promised time The customer service was topnotch All questions answered in an understandable way. A little pricey but totally worth it. Thanks PODS read more

We recently had an opportunity to use PODS to store household items during a remodel. We found the website and telephone reps to be knowledgeable, helpful and accurate. The driver who dropped the unit off and picked up was delightful, very personable and conscientious about placement of the PODS unit. We kept the unit on site during the remodel, which worked beautifully for us, even though we did not require an opportunity to enter the unit during. We would recommend PODS any time you have a move or remodel. The unit was delivered clean and the driver took his time to explain the features before leaving the unit in our care. We felt it was a good value for the service we received. read more

I've used PODS for 3 moves over the last 5 years ... Hawaii to North Carolina; North Carolina to Boise; and Boise to Boise. Each 3-4 pod move has been outstanding with not a single item broken. The most recent Boise-local move was the best of them all with tremendous service, professionalism, and flexibility from Alex and his team....Highly recommended! read more

Do NOT go through PODS you have been warned. This place is the BIGGEST nightmare. I keep receiving bills because instead of CSVC putting in their system that my container was returned empty they put it back in storage (after it was dropped off to be unloaded). When I called the billing department Mercadies asked me if I submitted my order on online or through their CSVC deparment when I advised on the phone she said that they put in my information wrong- when they came to pick up the empty container they "restored" the container for furture ues!!! If I am moving why would you take an empty container for future use?!?!? Mercadies then said she can't help and put me back in the queue which I was on hold for so long I Had to hang up. read more
