I called from a card I was given, talked to Mike and we made tentative plans. I gave him my email and it was quick work from there to get them hired. I got all my questions answered, I was able to make some requests and a I got a bid. They were excellent to work with - especially for a weekend holiday move. The movers showed up on time, took a quick walk through of what to load and went straight to work. They will do it all - but I helped get things closer to the door since this is an hourly service. My best advice is preparation because they work FAST. They were careful with all the boxes and used plenty of blankets and bracing around the wood items. Have it boxed and ready to go, take apart things like the dining room table and be ready to stay out of the way! Two guys moved almost an entire house within just a few hours. We did not have far to move but they still followed protocol on transporting goods. This group is by-the-book and I will recommend them every time. Good work, fellas.

Missing tool box with brand new craftsman tool set. They moved art pictures OUTSIDE and leaned them against a dirty moving container then said "We don't move pictures. Crazy a moving company that moves property OUTSIDE but refused to load and move. This company also can't move boxes if they aren't closed completely. So hired movers couldn't complete the job. We ended up having to move 2 puck up loads ourselves after paid movers failed us and now the items they did move are destroyed. Sent less than professionals who damaged my brand new King bed, my electric sofa, dining table and a chair, vanity, and stole our property. They had to replace a worker who got upset after we had to chase them 3 times as they were trying to leave without completely moving our stuff so apparently the boy they sent got upset when facts were spoken by a woman so he was shooing me away and actually stated he is NOT talking to me. We ended up hiring this company that boast of using professionals yet now we have brand new furniture that Is damaged and destroyed. The company ignores me. I called several times with no answer and then immediately called from another # and the phone was picked up right away. Totally unprofessional

This has been so easy. We moved from WA to MO with no problems at all. We were looking for a…read morecompany that didn't require us to do the driving and not insanely expensive. Plus we had heard horror stories about companies holding your stuff for ransom basically unless you paid an additional amount then quoted. We didn't have to worry about that here. We had a trailer delivery and purchased the room inside that we would need to move a 3 bedroom home. We loaded it over 3 days, drove 4 days to our new state and called for the trailer to be delivered. We got 3 days to unpack which was great as we didn't have to rush to unpack in a day. Called them to pick it up and it was all done. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Call them if you are moving, trust me you won't regret it.

I used U-PACK For the first time this past month. (MARCH 2021, in SW Missouri) Previously, I had…read morealways hired a moving company with their own trucks to load, drive and unload my household belongings. Making the reservation was easy and I was happy with the experience at that point. (at the time of booking) The container was delivered to my driveway as scheduled. All drivers were efficient and friendly. The problem was (not discovered until later) that the container they left for had numerous holes. My move was happening during spring time, which meant quite a lot of rain. Because of the rain, 4 straight days non-stop, I actually did not pre-load anything into the container. On the day of my scheduled move-out, the loading crew opened the container & saw standing water in one corner of it (!!!) This was a huge concern - if I had loaded any of my belongings onto the truck myself they would have been ruined. Or, if it had not rained & we did not know the truck was leaking, then it would've been driven to its next destination where U-Pack was going to hold it/store it for me for approximately 9 days. (until I closed on the next house in a different city) Again, if that had happened, all of my belongings inside would have been destroyed from the rain water leaking into the container. So, I had to release the moving crew I hired - they could not do the work I had hired them to do - yet I still had to pay them for their time. Then I had to reschedule, once I knew when a new container could be delivered by U-PACK, replacing the leaky trailer they had initially given me. I called U-Pack to explain the situation. The person I spoke with was not very helpful and quite rude. I was seeking a quick solution, as I needed to be out by a certain date & a certain time for the new owners who had bought my house. ABF replaced the trailer with a brand new one. However, they could not deliver it in time for me to capitalize on the moving crew being there to help load the truck, as originally scheduled. So, it was sitting in my driveway another 2 days. It was Wednesday, when the loading crew returned to load the trailer. (they were n/a Tuesday; nor any other moving companies I called - of course not, on such short notice!). Delayed from Monday to Wednesday, I had no choice but to contact my realtor to request the new owners push back the closing date & time on the sale of my home & delay their move-in, as well. Luckily, they were very understanding and cooperative. I will be reluctant to use this type of moving service in the future. I understand that things happen sometimes. However this was within their control, from two aspects: 1) do not deliver a trailer or container to somebody that is faulty - in this case leaky and full of holes; and 2) when I called their customer service number to explain what had happened, I did not receive any empathy for the situation - - instead I received very poor customer service and the person was very rude. In fact, he even told me there was nothing he could do; that the most he could do is what I had done at that point, which was call the local provider and get them to replace the truck as quickly as possible. He was very unwilling to even attempt to help me. I was quite shocked by this. Not just from a company perspective in terms of providing a service to their customers, but from one human to another - feeling empathy for what that person is dealing with and having a much better attitude toward that person, given their predicament. None of that was conveyed, zero. In fact, he was so rude, that I'm not quite sure why he would ever have a customer service job in the first place. He seems very incapable of performing a job for which the primary focus is to SERVE THE CUSTOMER (customer service). Another thing he told me: that if I had called them a couple day prior (re leaky trailer/container), they could have resolved it in advance of my original pick up date. Well ... I did not KNOW it was leaking. It rained 4 straight days after it was dropped in my driveway, so I was not spending time outside nor looking inside the truck. Suffice it to say, I was paying them $1,000 for their service and trusted them to deliver properly. Why would I even think "Oh, maybe the container leaks? I better check that." They provide a service I was paying them for. Bottom line. To infer this was my fault - wow. The concept that U-Pack bases their service on is great. That is what drew me to this as an option in the first place for my move/relocation. The one thing that deters me, now, from using this service again or even recommending it to anybody, is the very terrible customer service experience I had during a situation that was extremely unfortunate. It caused me great difficulty and additional stress during my move.

We are having some wood floors installed and some refinished and needed a lot of heavy furniture moved to a different part of the house. Two young men arrived a few minutes late due to a few wrong turns (they called for better directions) and they did a wonderful job. Both of them had worked for the company for over a year and were polite, efficient, well mannered and VERY careful with our things. They were nice enough to place some very heavy pieces of our furniture on their side so we could put felt pads on the the legs. They even helped remove the old plastic sliders. Perhaps the previous poster had one bad experience but as stated before we've used them for several large moves and even had them come over once to move one heavy piece of furniture inside that we had stored in the garage. As for charges, since we had used the company before the charge was $75 an hour...They moved a huge three piece dining set, large TV console, refrigerator, large couch, recliner, coffee table, a curio cabinet and other chairs and tables in ONE hour flat...Glass tops were carefully wrapped in a quilt . The refrig had to be relocated and they did it perfectly...the charge was $75 and I tipped the boys for the good job. I'm going to use them again to move the furniture back in place when the floors are finished. It's regrettable that the previous poster had a bad experience but I guess that happens in any company....He should have spoken up right away about the breaks, smoking etc...instead of letting it continue....
