Dr. Blue saw me the same day as my initial call, and he prescribed a drug therapy that resolved the problem. He also offered to meet me in the early AM the following morning (before his office even opened, and before I needed to leave for the mountains), to give me shots in case the prescription was ineffective (the drug therapy works for some, but not others). This kind of patient care was common when I was a small child, but is unheard of today - thanks to Dr. Blue for bringing the "bedside manner" back to health care!

About 10 mins late a girl at the second window calls me up and says " I just called your insurance and you owe 360 today." I asked the girl why did they wait so long to call and she then replied VERY RUDELY "it's your insurance and you should've known this!!" My copayment is what I was expecting, and to spring an almost 400 bill on someone the day of a procedure is unacceptable for any medical office. To TOP it off the person that was giving the information was ridiculous about the whole situation. I work in the medical(Parker Adventist), dental field and that is NOT okay on any level. People that come into your office I'm sure would appreciate knowing what the cost is days before and NOT the day of the procedure. He was able to get imaging done (that previous doctors did not do) and find a torn tendon in my big toe. Dr. Mechanik did my surgery and was so kind and detailed in his explanation as to what he was going to do. After surgery I was even able to get in for an emergency appointment to get more medication. He was gentle with every checkup and you could tell that he cared. As someone who didn't have a ton of $$$ for this, the staff went above and beyond to let me know about resources that have cheaper options (ex. lower costs for MRI imaging, free medical equipment rental, and finding a PT that wouldn't break the bank). I was truly blown away with how much this office cared. Every time I went in I was greeted by name (not my legal name listed on my chart) with smiles. Renee at the front desk is an angel. I cannot recommend them enough!

It…read morejust took me a little push to get an appointment at the new Stanford hospital in Redwood city, but his nurse did a good job to call me back and squeeze me in dr Hunt's busy schedule. His intern was very friendly and Dr Hunt went straight to the point, still taking the time to answer questions clearly. He scheduled outpatient surgery for the following day. Again the experience went very well, anesthesiologists very friendly and effective. I didn't want to be put to sleep (less chemicals in my system is always better) and was laying on my stomach during the surgery that lasted 35 minutes. Dr hunt was even answering questions I had during surgery! I think I was released one hour after end of surgery. The nurse called me the next day to check on me and the anesthesiologist three days later to check the catheter that they left in my thigh. I m in recovery right now and I feel very lucky that Dr Hunt took care of my case. I realized that he also fixed my 5 year old daughter's broken femur 18 months ago, she doesn't even remember which leg got hurt today! It's like it never happened to her.

Avoid Red Rocks, or try calling when they're not out to lunch. Heh, heh. Very disappointing. They're literally down the street from my house, and also provide PT. But they blew it.
