We finally made it here and we are kicking ourselves that it took us so long! Our service was 10/10 which really started the experience off on the right foot. They bring out fresh pita that's fired up right in the oven and it is out of this world. We paired that with the hummus and it was delish. For food, we shared a few items: Moussaka which is one of our fav dishes and this one did not disappoint. A delicious lasagna-like dish made with eggplant that's served in a tomato sauce. We also tried the cabbage rolls and chicken wraps. The chicken wraps could be a daily treat. They are so light and fresh and great with the yogurt sauce they are served with. We didn't have dessert but we will definitely be back for more! The grape leaves are a top item I need to try. They do have a private room for larger parties as well. read more

Poco Piatti--and the larger restaurant family it hails from--is one of those comforting Northwest Ohio fixtures. Dependable. Familiar. Slightly elegant, in that "special night out next to a Pottery Barn" kind of way. We've long been fans of the food. We've made the rounds. The only location left was Levis Commons--and now that we've finally made it there, we can say: it holds up. Warm service, tasty as ever, and an atmosphere that feels like someone lit a candle in a cul-de-sac. It's a welcome twist on a cuisine we love--refined, but approachable. As a vegan, I give this restaurant 5 stars! I had the veggie kabobs, seasons potatoes, and french fries. My son, who is also vegan, had the cauliflower and the madajura (sp). My daughter had chicken sliders and a root beer. My son and I both loved our food and would eat there again. Went there for dinner on Saturday... We've been here many times and it's fairly inconsistent. This visit wasn't very good at all. I screwed up and ordered a martini. I was very specific about how I wanted it to be made, what type of gin, garnish, etc. I requested it to be very, very dry. I also told the waitress, "That means no vermouth." I think they made up for the lack of vermouth by adding water to the drink. Kind of a gin rickey without the fizz. TERRIBLE cocktail and $12 bucks. For dinner we ordered the roasted beet salad, shrimp saganaki, crab cakes and lamb chops. Keep in mind that these are appetizer portions consisting of 3 shrimp, 3 crab cakes (about 1/4 cup each), 4 lamb chops and a small salad. The shrimp were extremely salty (and I love salt). There wasn't very much in the way of tomato or feta. The crab cakes were great, except they were just swimming in remoulade. The remoulade was really great, but it sogged out the bottom of the cakes. The beets in the roasted beet salad were undercooked. Undercooked beets are inedible. The lamb chops are always great here. Perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The waitress was great. So, after getting a couple awful drinks and some not very good food, the bill came to $100 bucks with the tip. Not worth it in any way. 2 stars for great lamb chops and a nice waitress. read more

They give pita bread as a starter, it is warm and fresh. The staff were all friendly and paid no mind to the travel-weary windblown individual who stumbled into their doors. Total sweethearts here. We come in breathless after walking around trying to find the place. If you haven't been to this shopping plaza before its kind of like a maze. We got there 20 minutes to closing and asked to order some grub to go. The bartender was kind enough to ask the kitchen. I got lamb sliders and lamb chops with rice for my man. She even made us a round of drinks and listened to me sing off key to the music. I like this location set up. Nice n spacious with large bar area. The other locations are smaller and intimate. The food was good not great but I'm putting that down to them cooking last minute for us. I always tell my man don't go when they are about to close but here we are. This place is always good. I've been to the Sylvania location and really prefer this location more. The servers know the menu better and are very friendly. The food here is absolutely amazing! I've never had Fatoosh (which is crazy because I lived in the Middle East for 4 years!) and was extremely blown away by this salad! Solid place in the area for Mediterranean/Middle Eastern fare. Our large group of 15 chose nearly every tapas dish they have. Their hummus accompanied many dishes and tasted fresh and homemade, grilled meats were also good. For me, the standouts, both good and bad, were as follows: Bad: Ara-Yes Halabi - I really wasn't ready for this one. It's ground lamb baked in a pita. To begin with, it doesn't really look appetizing. The flavor tasted somewhat like lamb-flavored Spam; it a heavily-seasoned flavor and spongy texture. No one at our table liked it. Awesome: Grilled baby lamb chops. Seasoned and grilled perfectly, these tender morsels melted in the mouth. Everyone in our group absolutely loved these, they were the best lamb chops I have ever eaten anywhere! Dessert: I went with the vanilla crème brûlée and it too was incredible and one of the best crème brûlée's I have ever had. The restaurant has a great draft beer offering and also nice wine list. Was pleasantly surprised by this spot. The food was good - with some standouts and some fails. We were in Bowling Green for a trip and this restaurant was recommended to us. It's a small plate (with some bigs) so you can get many things to share. The Poco tips were delicious - we got the steak ones and they were super flavorful and perfectly cooked. The crab cakes were also really good and I would get them again. The standout was the roasted cauliflower, that was amazing! The sauce was mild and not overpowering. I wouldn't get the flaming cheese again...it wasn't what I expected and kind of one note. The hummus was also pretty lackluster, which was a little disappointing. read more

The lone bartender was quite busy, but still managed to be welcoming, attentive, and made great food recommendations: the Ara-yes Halabi (ground lamb between toasted pita), and garlic feta dip. At any rate, our last visit will be just that - OUR LAST VISIT. Everything was not fresh & very salty. DISGUSTING! Falafels were as old & hard as a brick. The sauces were runny & flavorless. Just everything - $100 later, we're having to find another dinner option. The server's attitude was absolutely shocking. It felt as though they're accustomed to the negative responses to their food. After research, the original owners no longer own this location. The "shell of a restaurant" is serving pricey food prepared by amateurs. It should be named, "Poco DISGUSTING". read more

Visited for Valentine's day. We were seated promptly and the waitress came around for drinks quickly. She looked busy, resulting in short snippy service at the table. The pita bread at the table was excellent. We ordered the chicken parm meatball sandwiches, which were delicious with a little bit of spice. The beef marsala left a lot to be desired. There was about 10 little pieces of meat and the rest was undercooked rice and soggy vegetables. Overall, the occasion may have made the service slump a bit, so I would try again just to see what it's like on a less busy day. read more

I used to like eating here since I could easily select gluten and dairy free food. I have sensitivities. I recently picked up a Greek salad, cabbage rolls and a couple other small plates for a friend and I. The cabbage rolls I had to toss because they were wrapped in dry grape leaves. The salad had cow feta which I'm paying for that gave me a sinus infection. This happened one other time and I forgot!!They used to use a goat feta which I can easily tolerate but I'm sure they changed to cow- it's probably cheaper. This place is awesome. I stopped in while traveling in the area for work. I've become a huge fan of Mediterranean food since my Greek friend introduced to a place near my work, and this place is one of the best Mediterranean places I've eaten. The hummus is good, the green beans are simple and delicious and I tried the Greek potatoes for the first time and they were also legit. Also, the little warm pitas they bring out are so good. We loved the experience we had at the restaurant! The waiter was friendly and the food was cooked perfectly! The chicken tip with the humous was very good, and strong in their lemon flavor. Also, the pita bread is nice, light and fluffy! Now, the cabbage rolls we weren't a huge fan of, but the Brussel sprouts and salad were good, depending on the person. We decided to go here after American a trip to Cincinnati. It was located and the plaza area and it took us a minute to find it. The handy visual map located in the area help us out. It is a nice little cozy spot in the Plaza on one of the side streets. Upon entering we were greeted quickly and asked if we wanted a table or booth. We chose a booth. His place is designated as a Mediterranean restaurant. However, there are plenty of various items on the menu. There are sandwiches, salads, fish and Chicken beast items. My friend got the parmesan-crusted chicken mini burgers. She loved them. I decided on the lamb mini burgers with a side salad and fries. I love lamb. However, I've decided to stick with the lamb chops. The mini burgers were good but they were more is chopped lamb version. If you liked chopped lamb this is a great burger. It is pretty filling. I ended up taking home two of the four burgers that they gave you. I also ordered a margarita and so did my friend. The drinks are rather expensive here. The margarita and a small glass was $14 a piece. That was pretty steep. It was almost half of what the bill was. They were not stingy on the liquor however I still feel the $14 per drink is kind of expensive. The waitress was nice and really attentive. Overall it was a good experience I would order something else off of the menu but I would leave the drinks out of it. Maybe a beer. read more
