Dropped into this new location for a holiday lunch with some friends. The location is pretty new and is located within a new plaza with a Sobey's. You really can't miss the Sobey's so you should be able to find this place! We were sat very quickly and our waitress was like superwoman! She took our order, brought our drinks and then took our orders all within minutes of arriving. After she brought our orders to the back she came back with some fresh baked bread! The bread was good and she brought the classic north american olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip to our table. We got through the bread pretty quickly and had some great conversation before our food arrived. Everything smelled great, I ordered the Poco Pazzo combination which had cannelloni, chicken and a salad. I cut into the cannelloni first and had a taste. It was alright. The chicken was up next! I liked the chicken, it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was tasty. The salad on the side was alright as well. I feel the meal was ok...I think spending some good time in Italy the last few months let me try some fantastic food over there and changed my bar on Italian food. The meal was definitely decent and will be my standard for Italian food in Ottawa. I think it was one of the better Italian meals I've had in town but not as good as some of the other Italian restaurants I've tried in Canada and definitely not in the same class as some of the places in Italy. My combo for lunch was around $17 and the portions were average size. I thought it was a great portion size for lunch. i'll be back next time I have a craving for Italian and will try something new. read more

If you have a CF One card give this place a pass. We went for dinner on a Wed night to celebrate the end of the school year. With three teenage boys we were looking forward to a hearty Italian meal. Food was very average, portion size is very small and prices are premium. For 5 of us the bill was approx $150. I asked the server if I could use the Cf One card and she went to check with the manager. She came back with a $2.40 discount on the $150 bill (they advertise a 20% CF discount). I asked how it was calculated and she said it was only 20% off of my entree. When I pointed out my entree was 24.00 she just raised her eyebrows. Shame on Poco Pazzo! If you participate in the CF Apprciation Program, honour you commitment. Average food, premium prices, poor ethics. read more

BF and I have been here on two occasions now, first for a birthday dinner and then again for a romantic dinner for two. Great service both times, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is just lovely. The first time there was 6 of us, all a little hyped up. We ordered wine and apps and dinner and dessert and coffee and just had a great time. I'm a huge pasta fan and a huge fan of veal, so both times I've had pasta and veal - both different entrees though. Their selection is wonderful and there really is something for everyone! K ordered a pasta with the broadest noodles he could find - and were they every big! Easily wider than my thumb! Wine was paired perfectly with dinner and dessert was the cherry on top of a great evening - both times! Will definitely be going back! read more

Good food but very pricey. They charged me over $18 for spaghetti and meatballs, takeout! It was good but I have not been back since because the prices are high. So, I thought it was time for a review since I have been back here a few times. I still think that it is a bit expensive but the food is is oh so good and well worth it, it truly is. The dish I seem to have the most often when Im here is the chicken parm with prawns and fettuccine alfredo. I honestly should be 400lbs. This is such a rich, tasty, wonderful stretch my belly in a good way meal! The service is so good, they are really friendly and helpful with your questions or suggestions. Dined there on a Saturday night with a party of 6. By the time we left it was full. Two of us enjoyed the chicken parmegian, I with the small Caesar salad which was plenty large enough. Excellent. Pls lots of bread available. Others had the minestrone soup, manicotti, fettuccini and spaghetti with meat balls. All were terrific. Large servings. Gluten free and wheat pastas available along with a full bar. Located in a shopping center with lots of parking right out front. read more

When in for a team lunch. Not a busy place at lunch time. Table for 8 was all set up and waiting for us. Service was fast and efficient and the food was excellent. I had the cheese stuffed ravioli in meat sauce. Portion size was almost too much for lunch, but I managed to eat it all. I would go back, and I would order the same! read more

Nice atmosphere but a bit dark. Food is good and portions fairly large. However, service is very disinterested, not at all friendly, and prices a bit high at $27 for a plate of ordinary pasta. We were never told about the Monday-Tuesday night special so ended up paying a lot more for our meal than we should have. Of course, if the server doesn't tell you, they make a bigger tip. We have been there twice but will not go again. La Porto a Case in Barrhaven is much better! read more

I've eaten at this restaurant and also had takeout from it. It's fabulous. The entire menu is available for takeout which is great particularly if you have kids and want to have dinner at home instead of going to the restaurant. The food was excellent. Love love love this restaurant. Food is great, staff is friendly and lots of delicious options to choose from. A large group of us meet here regularly for dinner, and we are always pleased with both the food and service. The shrimp appetizer (gamberi al pepenero) is sooooo good and a decadent treat to start with. For mains you can't go wrong with fettuccine Poco Pazzo or my fave, veal fiorentina. read more

I was in on Friday for lunch. Was at the Stittsville location years ago and enjoyed it. Our lunch Friday in Kanata was fantastic and the service was perfect. Not too intrusive and yet engaging. Will definitely be heading back to either location. Recommend the lunch combo of chicken Parmesan or the ravioli. Both exceptional. read more

Great Great Great Italian food...yes it's a bit pricey but worth it. Only downfall is the service is comparable to the servers at fratelli's westboro...aloof...is this a new thing?
