Oh Lordy! Black Box has an outlet store! Why did I not know of this before now, I ask you…read more I originally first fell for the Black Box brand on my first foray into The Department Store in Takapuna. Now that I know they actually have their own store, and things are actually cheaper than where you would buy them originally I am hooked. It helps that they had a babe'n sales assistant on the day when I went in there, all dark hair and tatts and well dressed and oh my god did I tell you I love this store! He was actually very helpful. This isn't your typical outlet store, they actually have stuff that is being sold at other places at the same time, its not end of lines or just stuff that no one bought. It's cheap AND its not last seasons. As well as great clothes, they also do amazing shoes too. Sales assistant guy: call me!

All of the clothing in here has a discount of between 50 and 70% off of its original price. What's great about it is that, unlike outlet shopping in malls like Onehunga Dress Smart, this store is actually full of really great clothes. I recently bought a really cute pair of Ksubi denim shorts for way cheaper than their original price. Also unlike most outlet stores, the clothing is still really well merchandised, with everything sectioned off into styles, making it really easy to shop. There are few places (in fact, I can't really think of any) like this in Auckland so make the most of their great selection of labels and even better prices.

All of that is enough to keep me away from the clothes without seeing what the clothes actually are. They do suiting, and 'European' style clothing, as evidenced in the name, but I feel like it's that trashy, sleazy European style clothing. Like, you'd have to have a mega tan and be called Eduardo to shop there or something. I feel like the store needs to be a bit more upbeat, and less cluttered and well, cheap looking. The prices are higher than I would've expected. They actually stock some okay brands, it's just the housing of them that puts me off. That all being said, I'm not a guy so this is all just women's perspective talking.

Very disappointing product and subsequent customer service. In February this year I bought a pair…read moreof expensive PEPE JEANS casual shoes which I liked very much, from this store, prior to an overseas trip. The store manager was friendly and helpful. After wearing the shoes for a few days I found them uncomfortable due to a raised seam on the back of the heel which rubbed a blister. I spoke to the shop assistant at Eurostyle and was told "tough luck". No help whatsoever. So I bought some heel pads to cover the seam and continued to wear the shoes in the UK. Within the first month the very thin rubber sole wore through. I bought some insoles and continued to wear them. Over the next 3 months they gradually deteriorated until they were no longer wearable. On returning to Auckland I returned the shoes to Eurostyle for their comment on the Quality of their product - I left the shoes with the store manager to show to the Owner, Mr Jacob Garhbait. No one phoned me, so after 2 weeks I called the store for their comment. I was told that the owner laughed when he saw the shoes and did not acknowledge any fault. I will never deal with these people and their poor product again. Julian Cole

But I find General Issue usually has some pretty awesome Abercrombie and Fitch ones to add to my collection. General Issue stocks a lot of American 'preppy' brands like Abercrombie and Fitch (of course). The stuff in here is usually pretty good quality, and pretty good value also considering that I swear there always seems to be a sale on whenever I'm in there. Though I do really like General Issue itself, there's something that just doesn't sit right with me about the Newmarket store. There's not as much women's wear as the men's and the stuff isn't really as nice as you can find in other examples of their stores. And the sales assistants aren't up to much. They never really seem to take much notice of you. The two girls that were working in there when I was there last seemed to be more interested in talking to each other than making sales. There were 3 or 4 girls attending the store, one was folding away clothes and a couple other were just roaming around the store as if we weren't even there. We were very interested in the clothing and wanted to buy some but none of them approached us to ask if we needed any help. They were much more engaged in their own conversations instead of providing service for their customers . We went back and forth trying on clothes and my friend ended up being more of the sales assistant. Love this store, however the girls need to pick up their game if they want customers.

We wandered around the tree lined streets and enjoyed views of the harbor in search of some lunch after exploring one of its magnificent historic cathedrals. Quaint cobblestone paths lead into hidden courtyards with cute bridges and statues. There are boutique shops and eateries around every corner and even in the basements and up beautiful winding staircases. The buildings all appear to be glorious Queen Anne style with their cute gingerbread wood trim accents - one of my fave aesthetics! Our lunch here at the Java room was one of the best meals of our trip - highly recommend!! And the pavlova with the passionfruit sauce at the Chocolate Boutique is a must. We were staying in the CBD which is a couple of miles away so we arrived via Uber which was very affordable. This is a great place for shopping and just meandering and I truly wish we had more time to explore on our trip.
