If you're looking for a bargain and a great day of shopping then Dressmart is the place for you! Dressmart is a mall that houses over 100 stores and offers up to 70% off the normal retail price, all year round. No need to wait for end of season sales to be able to spend up large! My last trip to Dressmart I was looking for work clothes and ended up buying three dresses, a blouse, and a singlet top for $60 - a feat that just wouldn't happen anywhere else. However, my real find of the trip was the chunky wedge sandals I found in Glassons. Down from $59.99, I ended up purchasing them for $10, and when I took them to the counter found out accessories were buy one get one free, so ended up walking away with a great black flower hairclip for free as well! Talk about a happy shopper! Though predominantly a clothing outlet, Dressmart also houses eateries, sports shops, shoe shops, health and beauty stores and book stores. The only thing that is missing is a jewellery store, but when you're saving so much money on everything else I guess paying full price for jewellery isn't so bad! Located near Auckland transport stations and with lots of customer parking and a free shuttle service operating Monday-Friday between the mall and Auckland CBD, despite being in Onehunga Dressmart is easily accessible. read more

You can get some real bargains here I've found. I love my Nike running shoes and shorts which I got from the Nike shop. The shorts were about $30 and the shoes, I think were not much over $100 and are so comfortable. Since I've had them, I've kept up regular running which is an achievement! My flatmate also got a really good new outfit for a wedding at Working Style and saved a lot of money on good quality clothes. The service here was also excellent. Also Dress smart Onehunga is home to the only outlet shop for Peter Alexander in New Zealand! Dress Mart really is the place to visit if you want to save money on branded items. It gets really busy on weekends though, so either be prepared, or come early. Sometimes I find myself getting a bit disoriented inside trying to find a particular shop, but that might just be me! read more

Dressmart is Auckland's outlet mall, a great place to find a bargain on almost anything. Its home to a lot of clothing stores but you can also find books and other knick knacks at inexpensive prices too. It's open everyday from 10am to 5pm with no late nights, which is one the reasons this place gets so packed throughout the weekend. Walking through Dressmart is a bit like walking through a maze so don't fret if you get a littte (or a lot) lost! I'm a big fan of Dressmart solely for the sports stores- Adidas, Nike, Converse- because you can get a really good deal on quality brands. I really like the Levi's store aswell, you just can't go wrong with having a few pairs of those in your wardrobe! The Brand Outlet Store sells Lacoste and other high end labels at a discounted price, and occasionally they put on some good deals that'd be worth a look. Dressmart doesn't have much of a food court, instead cafes and fast food places are scattered among the stores. Look out for stores like Puma and Adidas who do Happy Hour, when everything in-store becomes 50% off the marked price- bargain! read more

This place is just perfect if you're looking for new basics that you don't want to pay a lot of money for. I came here predominantly for the Levi's outlet as I was desperate for a new pair of jeans but was impressed by the selection of other stores this mall has; from Cotton On (adults and kids) Amazon, Quiksilver, Glassons, Dotti etc. It really felt like the whole high street was here and unlike some other outlet malls I've been to, the majority of the stores in Dress Smart Auckland had plenty of stock, and more importantly, it was stuff that you'd actually want to buy too! The fast food restaurants are pretty standard (Tank, McDonalds and Pitta Pit to name a few) but all bases are pretty much covered. It's also really great that parking is free for up to four hours, so you can really have a look round properly. Tip: head here in the morning for about 10am when the stores are first opening. They get so messy throughout the day that it can often be hard to shop. In the morning the stock is all tidy and there's less people rummaging. read more

Bargains, bargains, bargains! Dress Smart is a great outlet shopping mall and filled with treasures which you don't need to swap for large chunks of your own treasure. I mean, I tried on a $119 cocktail dress going for $5 the other day - flip, if it fit, that would've been the best deal in the galaxy! The problem with dress smart is the maze you have to get through. Like previous reviews have already pointed out, it's absolutely monstrous trying to find your way around. I always have to make a mental note as I walk out of the car park as to which shops are around me, and even then, I may not find them for quite some time. Having said that, there is much to like about this mall. It has a generally good feel to it, and a wonderful Esquires coffee shop with an outdoor sanctuary to enjoy a good long coffee after a busy morning's shopping. All my friends plead to go here when they are visiting Auckland, and it really is a good place to introduce them too. Go forth, but take a compass with you! read more

Despite its labyrinthine layout, once you get it sorted in your head, Dress Smart is a great place for shopping. If you want to do the whole thing, allow several hours (if not a whole day) because for the hardened shopper there's a lot to see. Primarily clothing and footwear (obviously), you can also find bargain books, homewares, fashion accessories and there's even a small hair salon which has some really great salon products cheap. The Lifestyle Pharmacy here alone can easily suck up an hour of my time - if you're a beauty junkie this is the place to come for dry shampoo, waxing and depilatory products, skin care, make-up, perfume - it's SO much cheaper. The vitamins here are excellent value too. The rest of the shops are your usual mall chains in outlet form plus a few of the slightly less common; Peter Alexander clearance is here and so is Paddington Coat Factory. There's food and drink to keep you going, including a juice bar that specialises in many flavours of Bubble Tea. Just don't be in a hurry for it, the staff are slooooow. As long as you are ok with off-season shopping, Dress Smart is well worth a look. It's harder to find "average" sized stuff, but if you are petite there's a lot to choose from. read more

Dress Smart. This is a great outlet store! Best in Auckland. The bargains are awesome. You will see the exact replica of a piece of clothing you bought at dressmart at the original store for triple the price you paid and you would not be able to tell the difference. It caters to all different styles so it has the sporty stores, the surf stores and the chain stores. It's a great place to go if you are on a budget but don't want to show it. It has been around a long time and is always pumping. It also has food stores and cafes so you can make a day of it. I would say the only downside is since it's an outlet store the sizing can be a bit random and sometimes you have to scourge through to find your size but with the amount of money you save it is definitely worth it. read more

Dress Mart in Onehunga has long occupied a lofty, hallowed position in the minds of Auckland's shoppers. It's an outlet mall institution that simply offers bargains galore. I can't recall how many times I've been dragged along here by mum, girlfriend, and other various female friends over the years who seem to gain in stamina as the hours go by while I sort of wilt and forget who I am and what I'm doing. That said, I've discovered a few bargains there myself in more recent times. Specifically, I've taken a liking to a couple of the shoe retailers here where I've managed to snare some quality suede shoes and get change for a $20. Solid buying, just don't get lost! read more

Have a good night rest and a hearty breakfast before you head into Onehunga for this one. My family has always seen Dress Mart as a real occasion. A kind of "Ok everyone gear up we're going to go get some bargains". The place is laid out a bit like a maze and if you're bad with directions (like me) you might find yourself doing loops the wrong way round and walking past the same shop a couple times. You don't want to get yourself too lost because you then run the risk of missing out an entire section and all the bargains you might find in it. The shops inside are pretty darn good for an outlet shop. There's all those stores you'd find in your local Westfield mall and, although the styles might be last season, the prices are so right now!! As in sweet I'm going to buy that now! With every outlet shop there are those good days and those bad. If you're not in the mood for searching for your size or braving the big crowds and even bigger clothes racks then maybe give it a miss... otherwise get yourself there and start finding some bargains. read more

i went with my dad and we were both looking for a new pair of jeans. unfortunately i didn't find what i wanted.. but my dad did!! he got a pair of levi's for $64.50, i think for half price from what was on the tag. i'm sure i would have seen this as more of a success if i wasn't so determined to find the jeans i wanted. i would also say the savings in most shops were not all that impressive. but i would still recommend having a look here. read more
