Their fees for cashiers checks seem to vary by location, which I find quite odd. Better than the mega banks, Univest is a decent option for those looking for a community bank. That said, I was a customer of this bank for years in the late 1990s before coming back to them again around 2012 or so. I liked the bank better in the 90s. Service was more person. It felt like a true "neighborhood" bank. I guess having acquired a few other small banks over the years that culture was bound to change.

He calmly replied, "personal matters." Instead of processing the request, the banker told him, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE," with no explanation. When my friend politely asked why, the banker repeated, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE NOW." My friend was shocked by how hostile and dismissive this was. There is no excuse for treating a customer this way, and the interaction felt discriminatory and completely out of line. My friends and I have been loyal Wells Fargo customers for years, and we have never experienced anything this racist or disrespectful. At this point, switching banks seems to be the only option. In other words, this credit union is only good for people that never go anywhere or travel, because you will be dealing with bullshit and they cant do anything about it apparently because its their algorithm and not a person. I had intended to open an account and do my banking there if they offered a similar level of service as my old credit union in Florida. These people put the union in credit union. They acted as if they would be doing me a favor by taking my money. They would not talk to me before I filled out an application and became a member. No information on checking account fees, minimum balances, interest rates, nothing. They kept repeating that it wouldn't be fair to other members if they talked to me before I signed up. Seriously? That's how they attract business? How could the truthful dissemination of product information be unfair to anyone? This is the 21st century. Every financial institution in America has a website where they advertise their rates and service details to anyone who is interested. If Boeing Credit Union's service is so poor that they won't talk about it to prospective customers then head for the door, which is what I did.
