[[HIGHLIGHT]]Let me start by saying the staff was very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went there because my son was experiencing asthma symptoms and a high fever with chills. I mentioned that I brought him in because the nebulizer treatments weren't working. After being seen by the nurse practitioner he was only treated for asthma symptoms (given dup neb vs albuterol). In the past a nasal swab was taken before treatment. He was never tested. He was given an oral steroid in office and prescribed an oral steroid as well. The treatment plan was to use the nebulizer every 4 hours while home. As mention the neb treatments weren't working. Saturday the symptoms slightly improved but by Sunday night everything was back to the original symptoms. Luckily I was able to get an appointment with his PCP and turns out he had the flu. I wish the nurse practitioner would have tested him while there as it would have likely prevented a double trip. The flu is what was triggering the asthma. Also worth mentioning that the rooms and waiting room aren't the cleanest. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Previously have taken my kids there and had a good experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The place however has gone downhill. The place itself looks very sterile... With white walls, white chairs. Which is fine. But you can see the wear and tear much easier since everything is white. It felt gross in there - both in the waiting room and exam room. They didn't even have the paper roll on the exam table. The paper roll itself looked empty.. and clearly not a priority to replace it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The RN that we met with was rather pompous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I mentioned my youngest was diagnosed with human Metapneumovirus a week prior that went into an ear infection and strep. So, I wanted to get my boys checked out to ensure that the same virus was not turning into something secondary for them as well. When I shared this information, the nurse very flatly responded, "so.. a virus" ... as if the type and more information was not important[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I then mentioned my oldest had a stidor sound when he would work himself up to cough. With a condensing tone told me "that's a medical emergency." I knew it wasn't based on other indications. But it definitely made me feel judged. I came to receive assistance, not judgement.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The PA himself was fine. Nothing to write home about. Not exceptional/ not overly great considering this is a kid's pediatric urgent care. But fine in a pinch. He was thorough in his exam -- nothing was further found that was concerning and just confirmed this virus needs to run its course. So, I guess, Ms. RN, the stidor was not a medical emergency. In the future, I will probably try another pediatric urgent care. It's not worth the judgement. read more

TLDR: I went here for urgent care for my 2 year old niece. The doctor was very DISINTERESTED and DISMISSIVE of her illness, saying that she'll be okay. The day after, (the day I am writing this review) her father had to take her to the ER where she is now having to stay overnight. I am absolutely displeased with my experience with one of the doctors. Her mother and I went to urgent care with my 2 year old niece. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The nurses were very lovely and comforting, so thank you so much to them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The doctor, however, was so quick and disinterested in my niece. My niece was in a lot of distress and she was crying. I was trying to comfort her, but the doctor made NO ATTEMPTS to ease her fears and stress. I find that unacceptable for medical practitioners to treat children with such coldness. He was also so quick with my niece, I wish he spent more time and effort in making sure she was okay. Now, I understand that doctors can make a mistake, but the fact that the doctor didn't give much time and attention to my niece is what annoyed me. I will give him the benefit of the doubt because people still do make mistakes, but my niece is now in the ER, having to stay there overnight at a different hospital. read more

My 9-year-old daughter experienced eye discomfort during an after school program, but still went to cheer practice. Her condition worsened as the evening went on and I was called to come pick her up. When I got to her, she expressed that she could not open her eye. So, I went to Google to search for urgent care locations that were open. I stumbled across PM Pediatrics in Naperville, called to see if they accepted my insurance, and drove my child to the location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The receptionist was kind, Nurse Lily was patient, and Dr. Dolan sealed the deal with his personality and quality of care.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wanted to register my 2-year-old before the end of the appointment (because I'm sure I'll be back LOL!). Took my daughter to this urgent care for ear pain. The place was super clean, the staff was professional and friendly and great with kids. The doctor explained things thoroughly and even answered an unrelated question and was able to get labs for something that wasn't part of the original complaint. We got results while we waited and the results were emailed by the time i got home. We were able to get in and out very quickly. I am very happy with the care my daughter received here. read more

Went in twice.....took my daughter when she broke her arm. They were amazing! She was in obvious pain. They did not make us wait. Got her in and xrayed in just a few minutes then splinted her until we could see an ortho. It was a great experience. They were so caring and great with her. Took my son there today and again had a great experience for illness. He needed a chest xray and we did have to wait a little while for the tech to get there but everyone was super nice and took great care of him. Much better than going to the ER!!!! read more

Horrible experience at this urgent care. Receptionist made me feel like a criminal for having an out of state blue cross plan that she has never seen before. We were forced to put a credit card on file. I was fine with that but there was no option to charge the credit card myself. I do not want random people having access to my address, zip code, last 4 of my or my child's social plus my credit card numbers and access code. That's a great way to have your identity stolen. Receptionist was incredibly rude and said that "we especially need to keep your credit card on file because you are from out of state." We literally live across the street. It was an unnecessary comment. I feel like she thought our insurance was forged? Instead of making me feel like a criminal, she should have called a supervisor. Horrible experience before we were even seen. Waiting room was too bright. I have never seen a clinic that bright white before. Do not take your child here if they are on the spectrum, ADHD or SPD. It was too much for my son who was melting down while the receptionist was being rude. I do not appreciate that they will charge 100% of the bill to your credit card 5 days after receiving an email statement. That's not even enough time to receive an EOB. What if the bill was incorrect? This company is Wall Street with a healthcare disguise. Physician and RN were nice but we won't be back. read more

Extremely frustrated with the doctor from yesterday. We went in with a very obvious issue my son was having - my daughter had the same thing and several of my son's friends. It is a highly contagious virus. It couldn't have been more obvious as he had direct contact and every possible symptom. I was hoping to get proper care and eye drops to keep the virus from spreading. The doctor came in, said take him home and give him some allergy medicine - she didn't even check him out! They said they needed to keep the line moving and had to free up our room because they were busy. You can tell the doctor didn't really care and was pushing us out. It's ridiculous. Worst doctor ever. My son woke up this morning with symptoms twice as bad - we saw a different doctor at a different place early this morning and they properly diagnosed and got him on eye drops instantly. This should have happened yesterday afternoon when we were at PM Pediatrics! They completely failed my kid yesterday. read more

I would give  0 stars if possible. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE SPEED AND EFFICIENCY & folks who know what is going on.  We setup an urgent care appointment for weekend and they took all the walk-ins before us & so it was a full hour before the doctor saw us. Then it took 45 mins of waiting in a room & I think they forgot us & so I had to go outside and check with them what is happening. And now after 3 days we are still waiting for the results of COVID test ...it is just wait wait & more wait while being anxious. I am glad another urgent care facility is opening up right next door - we will MOST DEFINITELy not be visiting PM Pediatrics again. read more

I took my daughter in for fever x 3 days and the receptionist, nurse and Doctor were absolutely great! The receptionist was so kind. The nurse had so much knowledge and compassion and the Doctor was compassionate and you don't get that often in healthcare. I would absolutely take my child back. read more

I called UrgiKids because my my son who is not a little kid, but in college was having issues with his ear. The person who answered the telephone (maybe Nancy) was very kind and helpful. When I explained that I was in CA and my son is there in college, she said no worries and yes they could see him. He is on his way there and I will update my review as soon as he is done. But 5 stars for easing a distant mothers mind. Update. My son was seen by the doctor and had an excellent experience. The dr and the nurse were attentive and gave my son excellent care. Diagnosing him quickly giving thorough explanations. I was able to facetime with tge doctor and my son. Wow excellent customer/patient care. I am so happy to have found them through yelp. read more

The actual experience with the doctor was great! The billing department however is a bit of A nightmare to deal with. I called two separate times to change my card from which my payment was to be made and i was still double charged and then had to call again to get it fixed. They said the would call me back to confirm ch changes and corrections after each of those phone calls and never did. The website for billing is also not user friendly at all. Unfortunately bc of this, I won't be returning. read more

We've been to this urgent care twice now and have had a very good experience. All the staff is wonderful and very helpful. We've been with and without and appointment and have gotten in within 5 mins. The Doctor is very knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining everything. urgi kids has been a lifesaver for our 1 year old on weekends when our pediatrician office is cloSed! Bryan has been at the front desk the last few times going and has been so wonderful and kind. We love the pediatric physician there she is very knowledgeable. Facility is very clean as well. read more

Can I give more than 5 stars? This place definitely deserves it! My pediatrician in Naperville moved to a smaller office and is now rarely available for same day visits...unless I want to trek out to their Glen Ellyn office. Urgikids has been a lifesaver! We've been there about 5 times in the last year. You can register ahead of time to make the front desk check in quicker. The place is SUPER clean, amazingly friendly (they offer juice boxes/popsicles), AND the nurses and doctors are extraordinary! We've never had a less than stellar experience from start to finish. My kids now ask to go there instead of their regular pediatrician. I cannot say enough about how awesome they are!! read more

I am so glad we found this place! We picked up my daughter from daycare on Tuesday (2 days before Thanksgiving) and they said "Umm her eyes looked a little icky today." Clearly she had pinkeye! This was at 5:15pm, so too late to call her regular doctor, and I was worried we wouldn't get in before the holiday. We quickly looked for urgent care online and found PM Pediatrics. I was able to schedule an appt for 6:15pm and drove straight down. They accepted our insurance, the waiting room was clean, and everyone was very nice. I did have a little wait before seeing a doctor, but even then we managed to get home and pick up our prescription by 7:15pm! It turned out she had an ear infection too, so I'm very thankful we were able to get her in and get her antibiotics started. They even called us a few days later just to follow up. Would highly recommend. read more

Amazing service. Got in really quickly as a first time patient. The welcoming when we walked into the door was friendly and inviting, all the staff was super nice, and a very clean nice facility. The nurse and Doctor we saw blew us out of the water with really asking us questions and finding out as much information as they can. Very informative and explained everything. Would 100% recommend coming here. And on top of that the hours are amazing. Open on a Saturday till 8pm when most places close at 12/4. Win in my book. I would give more than 5 stars if possible. Unfortunately the quality of providers has gone down hill here. I had a very poor experience with my son for a foot injury. After 2 hours being there (with a scheduled apt) our chief complaint (for immobility/not bearing weight) was never even addressed. No one even asked if he was in pain, checked vitals, or completed a thorough exam. After waiting another 40 min after the X-ray for the PA to share that it "wasn't broke you can go home" I had to stop her from zooming out of the room again to ask about her recommendations for managing him not walking. With that she responded with ice and Motrin. No guidance on when and if to follow up, when to expect improvement etc. super disappointed. The X-ray technician was wonderful with my son! read more

Went in, seemed fine. Seemed like a nice place but the staff weren't welcoming at all. Took a while to be seen but when I finally was they did two tests, no questions just tests. Tested my urine, then forced me to get my blood sugar checked. Did not do anything right in the slightest. They told me I had to go to the hospital, mentioned kidney failure, diabetes or some other thing. Their test was incorrect. Even the doctor at the hospital said they were stupid. Complete waste of time, money, and stressed me out over their own incompetence. Rude and stupid, A poor combination. Would never go again or recommend. Idk bout them but if I was in the medical field and a hospital doctor said I couldn't be more incorrect and that I was stupid I would be quite embarrassed. Don't bring kids that are scared of doctors, I'll tell you this now, they make it worse. Not sure how they thought pediatrics was a correct field for them, but sure doesn't seem like it. Don't work with kids if you don't know how to help them. Maybe they are nicer to young kids, but teens, no. Only nice thing I can say is that they were open the latest, 10 pm, and had some drinks available in a mini fridge along with coffee. Not good drinks, but they were free. Also a pretty looking office, sadly I wasn't going in to look at decor or for a free juice. read more

Highly recommend! I drove 35 minutes to this kids only immediate care. Doctor Hui and nurse were both kind and understanding and explained everything thoroughly. Office staff, Brian, was great too. Very easy with insurance process too and I would definitely do the drive again for this type of high quality care for my kids. Dr. Hui even tracked test results for my daughter and called me at almost 11pm on a Saturday night (with my okay) to give me the results. They definitely go above and beyond. read more

Loved the nurse/physician but the front desk left a lot to be desired. Parents are stressed, kids are sick, the unfriendly front desk staff make the whole situation worse. I miss it when they were independent, had a family feel to it. There are many other options in the area. read more

Walked in a little after 6pm with my two young daughters to get a flu shot for myself and the second half of my youngest. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I would recommend staying away from here if your child needs a PCR covid test to return to school. While it is nice that you can make an appointment and get in fairly quickly, the test results that were to likely come within 24 hours, but could take as long as 36 hours to come back are now now going on day five of waiting on the lab which is "backed up". When I call, they can't give me any information other than that. I have a child out of school for allergy sniffles that can't go back without the results. I understand that many need tests now, but this is quite a long time. We had him tested at the height of the pandemic last fall and had results in 12 hours. read more

Went there on a weekday, my daughter was running a fever, had a tummy ache and her throat was hurting her. We are new to the area, so did not have a new pediatrician set up for the kids just yet. Walked in, first of all, EXTREMELY clean!! The guy at the front desk was very helpful and nice. They called my daughter back in minutes, swabbed her throat, filled a prescription right then and there for her (saving me a trip to the pharmacy) and we were on our way with in 30 minutes of arriving there!! What was even more amazing, is 2 days later I received a follow up call from them, just making sure that our daughter was feeling better. HIGHLY RECOMMEND going there with your little ones!!! read more

I really hesitated to post a review.... because this place is so awesome and I selfishly didn't want there to be lines in the future :) Seriously...mom's and dad's....this place rocks. Recently opened and owned by 2 highly trained female doctors. I took my 7 yr old daughter in for what I assumed was strep throat around 6:30pm. She not only got tested but was treated like a queen. This child focus location really caters to the pediatric population! Her sick little eyes perked up when offered a popsicle! Seriously, wonderful care and interaction with all the staff. And fast service! They also have an affordable pharmacy onsite which makes it easier/faster for the parents! We were out the door with meds in hand in less than 30 min. Thank you Urgikids! And even if there is a small wait in the future...it's because you guys are great! read more

I have been to Urgí Kids at least three times prior to the switch and loved our experiences with the doctors and staff. Always super attentive and quick to take care of sick kiddos. However this time I was less than impressed. I called on our way because my 3 year old decided to put a bead in her nose. Now we could still see the bead so she was breathing fine but one good breath in and it could move and cause issues so it was important to get it out ASAP. They said no problem and that they could handle it. We get there and check in alone was 10 minutes then we are waiting another 10 minutes to be seen... that's fine if a kid has a fever or a scrape - NOT when there is something in their nose. If they were not equip to handle it then they should have said so and we would have gone to the ER. Needless to say we will not be returning to the new PM Pediatrics. I'm disappointed as I loved Urgi Kids. read more

I have five young children. Before UrgiKids opened we would always head to the ER. I am so glad we found this place. I have been twice. Had just a small wait both times. The staff is excellent, friendly and very thorough. The office is clean, bright, and stocked with juices for the children and coffee/tea for the parents. I have seen the same doctor for both visits and she is awesome. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a pediatric urgent care facility. read more

As a backstory, my 15 month old daughter had been running a fever for approx. six days, was miserable, had developed a rash on her belly & wasn't getting any better. I had called our pediatrician in the afternoon and since it was so late they recommended not waiting until the next day & going to urgent care. I'll start with the positives : they were able to take us right away when we walked in, only waiting about 5 minutes. The facility was very clean & the TVs in the exam rooms were a lifesaver (thank you, Ms. Rachel!) Now for the negatives : the doctor was in the room with us for five minutes, tops. I informed the doctor of all of her symptoms and my concerns, but felt that I was mostly ignored. Two days later, her symptoms were getting worse and we finally got in to see the pediatrician - my daughter tested positive for strep throat that had gotten so bad, it turned into scarlet fever. There's no way she didn't have this two days before when we were at this place. Strep throat is extremely dangerous if it goes untreated in toddlers and a simple throat swab would have given us an answer & solution two whole days earlier. The cherry on top is the "follow-up" phone call I just received where all they did was inform me that strep throat is "super rare in kids this young." Ok, so that means we're not looking for it/testing for it?? Nice. read more

My daughter had an earache that was really bothering her one evening. Our pediatrician office was closed of course and the nearby Edward-Elmhurst immediate care locations were closing but UrgiKids is open until 10 pm during the week. This place saved the day! The whole staff is courteous and professional. Our nurse asked my daughter lots of pertinent questions and then left us in the exam room where there is a TV! I am rating this place 4 stars because we did have to wait for a while for the doctor to see us (they claim you will be seen within 20 minutes but we waited for 50 minutes). The doctor gave my daughter a thorough examination of her ears and found another problem with her other ear. They also have an on-site pharmacy so we did not have to travel far to get my daughter's meds. I would definitely recommend this place for after-hour pediatrician care for your child. read more

I visited once before when this place was UrgiKids and had a much better experience. Today we called ahead to book an appointment and find out what to do before coming in and were told to just come in. I showed up 20 minutes later and was asked why I didn't book an appointment. Then I was told to scan a QR code and register myself which would take 15 minutes or so before we would get added to the waitlist. Before I could even start registering my child got sick all over the waiting room. I cleaned it up and had nowhere to even change his clothing. Parents with sick little kids have a lot going on and I wish I could have known to pre-register at home or had some help from staff. Very disappointing and do not recommend. read more
