I went here for a couple vaccinations and they're inexpensive, easy to deal with, friendly and fast.

I went here in December for a cold turned bronchitis. I've visited other urgent care facilities in…read morethe past with good experiences, but Fox Valley Immediate Care is a total miss. From the exterior, it looks like a nice facility. Once you're inside, it's cold and sterile like many medical offices, but something about it felt more like a used car dealership. There were 3 staff members sitting behind the desk with nothing to do. I only waited a few minutes to be seen by the doctor, who was pleasant enough but I really wondered if she was a legitimate doctor. She shuffled in the room with a messy ponytail and wearing snap-up athletic pants under the doctor coat. I don't expect a doctor in a tuxedo, but there's something to be said for looking professional and polished. I was given a Z pack, some kind of steroid, and cough "pearls" with little explanation of what everything was for. I was disappointed because I told the doctor that the cough was the worst part, and I wanted something that would help me sleep - ideally a cough syrup with codeine. This was my first experience with the pearls, which weren't nearly as effective. This visit was on a Sunday in the late afternoon, so unless I'm scrambling to find somewhere open again, I won't be back.

My family was not feeling well, they all got tested and 2 members had an infection. I needed to get…read moretested immediately as well because I was going to travel. Went there, waited 2 hours which is fine I understand other patients are being taken care of. The person helping me told me she would be back to check my rapid results in 5 minutes, I waited around 40. I finally got fed up and went outside to look and don't see the person who helped and that's when the ANP saw me and came to check on me. I was supposed to get results 2 days later, called them they told me lab results are not in yet. Just in case I cancelled my flight anyways because that was on me too. I forgot about it at this point. My husband asks me 4 days later what my results were? I told him that they never called me. I get a call a week later with them following up since my results were negative. I told them oh I never received my results from you guys. Lady on the phone tells me we tried to call you several times but you didn't pick up, I didn't respond to that because I don't have any voicemails from them (my other doctors offices either call or leave a voicemail with details based off of what I check on my form or that they have results available) or any calls in my call log, only an outbound call from me reaching out to them to find out my results 2 days after the exam. Completely unprofessional.

I went in on a Tuesday a little before 2 AM as I'm 13 weeks pregnant and woke up bleeding all over…read moremyself and then passed a large clot/tissue piece. They triaged me and gave me a 3 rating on a scale of 1-5 priority. We waited over an hour whilst I thought my child was dying. I asked the front desk how long it would be and she couldn't tell me but said there was a 6 hour wait and had an attitude. I called another hospital 6 miles away and got right in - bloodwork, urine analysis, Doppler, ultrasound - it was night and day and my baby is okay. I DO NOT recommend Rush Copley and warn others NOT to trust that they will take care of you because they will not.

Hospital staff were emotionally abusive to the patient IN THE PRESENCE OF THE FAMILY. I shudder to think how our loved one was treated when the family was not around. I believe that this standard of "care" would not be allowed under the Geneva Convention for prisoners of war! After transferring to a different hospital, much more compassionate care was immediately evident. Moreover, the doctors at this second hospital had far more theories of the case and considered at lot more potential treatments than Rush Copley physicians. Ultimately, the physicians at the second hospital figured out the medical issue very quickly, while Rush Copley never did in a lot more time. I am no medical expert, but I think all of this might mean that the Rush Copley Hospital was medically incompetent, if not negligent. Don't let your loved one--or even your worst enemy--check into the Rush Copley hospital! Go to Delnor or Good Samaritan hospitals instead. Both are highly rated and have been great experiences for our family over the years.
